Guest El Satanico Report post Posted October 22, 2002 I always watch the original twilight zone at least two days every week. I've been noticing that the episodes they have been showing lately look alot different then they use to. The b&w color is too clean looking making it look like a 90's show that used b&w. Also it has the camera work like they used on 60's soap operas and on Dark Shadows. Does anyone know if they used two different filming techniques during it's run? Guest Lethargic Report post Posted October 22, 2002 When CBS was taken over by Jim Aubrey he cut the budget to the show. The first way to cut the budget was to make fewer episodes per season which is why the second season is so short. The second idea was to force the show to be shot on videotape instead of film, like soaps and Dark Shadows. Serling considered it a total disaster because every show on video had to be on a soundstage, no exteriors at all, so he eventually got his film back after 6 eps.
