Day One - God’s Country, Dallas, Texas

by Bradshaw

I have just departed on my round the world trip on behalf of WWE. Because of my injured left arm, I am about as useless as Rico in a room full of women, so WWE is sending me on a promotional tour.

Our rosters are so thin right now due to injuries that it is very hard to find available talent to go overseas. I don’t know if I am talent but I am available so I get to go. I am actually looking forward to this trip. I have visited over forty different countries and I used to own a travel agency. Travel to me is enjoyable. Also, the way WWE takes care of you when you travel for them is great.

I am going to go with the SmackDown! group on the charter to Helsinki. Hopefully, this charter will be a whole lot less eventful than the last charter flight I was on across the Atlantic. At least I will get to have a few adult beverages with my former APA partner Faarooq.

After Helsinki, I fly to London for a couple of days. Last time I was in London, William Regal set my wife and I up with a trip into Buckingham Palace. I even got to serve drinks in the Queen of England’s personal bar. I was given a bottle of apple juice that the Queen had made personally.

After London, I fly to India for a press conference and media appearances and then on to Seoul, Korea. It’s been about eight or nine years since I have been to Seoul, I was last there with Booker T right before he signed to go to WCW.

From Seoul, I fly to Tokyo for two days. I spent a lot of time wrestling in Japan when I first started. My first tour there was with Bob Orton Jr., it was his forty first tour. My last tour there, I was on one of my last stints with Barry Windham, we were there for All Japan’s tag tournament.

From Japan, I got to Australia and New Zealand. I finish up with a couple of days off in Sydney before I return home.

Since Oklahoma beat my beloved Longhorns last week, and my Cowboys aren’t having a very good year, I won’t have to worry about finding a TV to watch. I went to the game with JR, who is OU’s biggest fan. I got to see Mark Henry sweating like a prostitute in Church because he thought he might have lost JR’s sideline pass. I think Mark was real close to being a full time strength competitor. But Mark did come through, so he still has a job. Had a ball with those two guys there, Mark and JR both are a lot of fun to be around. If it weren’t for that stinking fourth quarter when Texas imploded, it would have been a lot more fun.

Oklahoma has the best tackling defense I have ever seen, and those Stoope’s brothers have to be the best coaches in football, they would look a lot better in burnt orange though. Got about twenty phone calls from Jerry Brisco during the game calling me several female anatomical terms preceded by the adjectives Stupid Texan. We bet one dollar on the game this year, I fed-exed it to him Monday morning with a real nice message.

My charity golf tournament just wrapped up, don’t have a final total on the money raised for Make a Wish yet. However, I have to report that my hole in one golf ball went for $7,000 and Hulk’s signed belt went for $500. I am over in my hometown of Athens, too bad there are only ten thousand people there.

Got a plane to catch. I fly to Birmingham, Alabama tonight to see Dr. Andrews about my arm tomorrow. Then on to the home of the two kings, Elvis and Jerry to catch the charter to Helsinki.

If Texas is God's country, then I hope I go to hell.
