I hate music that has to be nationaly advertisd on everything from buses to magizines and food products (What in the hell does brittney spears singing at burger king have to do with me wanting a whopper?), what happened to letting the music sell it self by the talent of the musicians and their talent.? I think they released an album called Poptrash or something to that effect last year. Needless to say, it failed to set the world ablaze. I'm not sure if they're one of these old bands with a small but dedicated following (think Costello) or one of these old bands with no following who play county fairs (think The Knack). I fucking love the hives, pretty much for the same reasons i love AWK. i like weezer and 'Is she weird' just fine. anyway, Incubus. Fuck them. And Amen. And Vex Red. And U2. And muse. The most overrated bands at the moment are right there. TWATS% i oculd go on, but all the other stuff is just pop aimed at kids so i can't really be fucked with ranting on it. I have a few friends who swear that band is the greatest band ever, and I am usually like, "They suck." or "They bore me." Of course, they think I am weird for listening to Korean pop, and think I should be listening to stuff like Nickleback, even though, Nickleback and their ilk is one of the major reasons I decided to turn to the Far East for music in the first place. I will give Avril Lavigne a free pass because a) I do not listen to the radio much, and b) I have never dealt with anyone outside the Punk Princess forums who actually listens to stuff, and seriously admits it. Of course, I have heard Sk8ter Boi, and well, that does indeed suck the meat missile. I never noticed that Hungry Like a Wolf connection though. His vocals also make my ears bleed. Have you ever heard any of Tim Reynolds' solo stuff? It's really REALLY good.
