Guest Leena Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 What team has the best record currently? Remember, that I told you it would happen.
Guest redbaron51 Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 Tampa Bay/Minnesota Go Habs Go
Guest Will Scarlet Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 I am glad Tampa Bay is having such a good year. They seemed like they all the prospects there for years, and now they are finally developing into something. Maybe the Lightning will actually make the playoffs this year. Of course that means a lot of people jumping on their bandwagon and calling them the 'Lighting." Ah well. Go Lightning!
Guest MaxPower27 Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 It's funny how many bandwagon jumpers are down here in FLA. Usually, hockey gets about 30 seconds and all they talk about are the Red Wings. They spent about 15 minutes today fellating the TB Lightning, talking about how the Lightning are going to be one of the top three seeds in the East this year. Geez, I'm happy to see them winning, as I can see them on Sunshine Network every once in while, but one of the top seeds in the East?!?!?! Must've been a slow football day or something.

I hope that all the bandwagon jumpers don't prevent me from getting Leafs-Lightning tix...
Guest treble charged Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 5 games does not a season make. Anyone remember who well Calgary started out last year? Look where they finished off. Come talk to me in February.
Guest Leena Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 *Sigh*... we'll wait until February when the 'Ning are 10 points ahead of the Leafs.
Guest Slingshot Suplex Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 I have a soft spot for the Lightning since they were the parent club to the IHL's Detroit Vipers for a couple years. It's nice to see them off to such a great start and a guy like Ben Clymer playing well. But I have to take treble's position in this one. A couple weeks does not a season make. And the Lightning have been too bad for too long to shed my cynicism just yet. Besides the ride is almost over....I'm probably gonna put Khabibulan on my fantasy team next week and that's probably the kiss of death for them.
Guest starvenger Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 I'd actually like to see the Lightning do well because, well, they've sucked for so long. But I agree with Treble. Wait until February - the Northeast is a tough division and don't be surprised to see all 5 teams doing well.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 Go Sabres! They haven't tanked yet! WOOOOO!!!!!
Guest converge241 Posted October 25, 2002 Report Posted October 25, 2002 at the end its all about the Devils anyway
Guest KK Rage Posted October 26, 2002 Report Posted October 26, 2002 The reason everyone talks about the Red Wings is because 25 percent of Floridians are from Michigan (like myself) However, I still pull for Tampa Bay as well, because after all, it's where I reside. More power to Martin St. Louis and Vinny. Good luck Tampa.

Guest Vern Gagne Posted October 27, 2002 Report Posted October 27, 2002 The Wild have the best record know. 6-1 victory at Phoenix.
Guest The Czech Republic Posted October 27, 2002 Report Posted October 27, 2002 Wild is doing great so far, they're definitely the most successful of the recent expansion, by a longshot. I still think the Blackhawks have a chance to do well this year. Let's see how they do against San Jose tonight.
