Guest Paranoid Report post Posted October 23, 2002 I was clicking through a few wrestling links and saw one where they said that Lawler was made to say a few quotes last night. It said something to this effect..."Jerry Lawler was told to say the "this isn't your grandfathers' wrestling" line and the line about "internet nerds" last night on RAW." It could be all bullshit, but I wouldn't put it past Vince!

Guest BA_Baracus Report post Posted October 23, 2002 Of couse he was. What do you think the headsets are for? So the people in the back can tell the announcer's what to say. I thought this was common knowledge.
Guest Downhome Report post Posted October 23, 2002 I honestly don't feel Jerry Lawler is much like his WWE character. From what I've seen of him EVERYWHERE else but WWE, he is as old school as they come. Hell, he don't even speak at ALL like he does in WWE anywhere else... ...Jerry Lawler is the ultimate puppet, and Vince McMahon play thing.
Guest TheArchiteck Report post Posted October 24, 2002 Whats the purpose of annoucing school if your being told what to say?
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted October 24, 2002 Bischoff always told Schiavone what to say. He was actually a good announcer before that.
