What If WWE Let Us Vote On Creative Teams?

Recommended Posts

Guest justcoz

Instead of posting ads on Hot Jobs why doesn't WWE make their creative positions say a little more respectable and formal? How about allowing wwe.com visitors and company stock holders vote on creative teams for Smackdown and Raw. Kind of like a creative version of Tough Enough. Wrestlers and tv writers apply. You pick 5 wrestling personalities and 2 tv writers with sample profiles of what each would like to do. Take website votes and then yet stockholders review and vote.

They serve a 2 or 4 year tenure just like a politician unless ratings/declining business periods result in early termination...

God, I'm bored tonight - I love this stuff so much that ever since I watched Monday night's version of the business I love - I've been thinking of ways to make it all better. That's quite sad...

Yeah, and next, lets let fans vote on the general manager for their favorite sports team. Hell, lets pick players by popular vote while were at it. Some ideas really have no basis in reality.

okay so screw the fans aspect... no website voting, none of that... as a publicly traded company with investors, etc. shouldn't creative team hirings come from stock holders voting since a creative team is so vital to the success of the organization? Wouldn't you feel better as a stockholder to know that it wasn't being Vince's daughter and hirings from Hot Jobs which qualified someone for this position but a voting process from the share holders themselves?

Shareholders don't get votes unless they own Class B shares. Vince McMahon owns 96% of the WWE's Class B shares, ergo he has all the power. It's pretty black and white. Having all the shareholders vote on WWE employees would be like giving every owner of Microsoft stock a vote as to whether or not the company should market a new version of Windows.

Why would you have people who are unqualified run a mulit-million dollar company?

Sure, I think WWF should listen to the fans and consider their opinions. But to have fans and people who know nothing of putting storylines together have a major hand in the product is just ridiculous.
