Guest nikowwf Report post Posted October 23, 2002 [email protected] Please write to the above address the following or some variation if you agree with me. Dear WWE, I am a fan who is currently upset with the current direction of the WWE. I have been patient up to this point, but I will NOT be purchasing the next PPV - Survivor Series if Big Show is fighting Brock Lesnar in the main event. It is bad enough to have to endure the crap that Raw has given us lately, which is leading to a HHH / Kane rematch that no one wants to see. But to give us the Big Show title match, a match no one wants to see and which will be extremely bad just makes no sense at all. Smackdown has a variety of talents, Edge, Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero among others who would make for an exciting and much more marketable match. I have bought every PPV for the last 3 years but I will not pay for a PPV with such a horrible main event. Its not a good main event story wise or in the ring. The WWE often says it listens to the fans. This would be a nice time to start. Thank you Niko
Guest nikowwf Report post Posted October 23, 2002 Also, if any of you are going to the next smackdown, you should get out the signs and just tons of Big Show hatred. Remember, he is the babyface here. Maybe if he gets zero reaction or a negative reaction vince will panic. Niko
Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted October 23, 2002 I like the way you put Edge's name before the others. That way not making yourself look like a total "Smark." Maybe I will write these guys. I've had some luck with getting them to write me back.
Guest nikowwf Report post Posted October 23, 2002 Haha. I actually put Edge's name first for that reason. I had Chavo in the list and then I remembered who I am talking to and pulled him out. Niko
Guest mach7 Report post Posted October 23, 2002 I don't know why you'd waste your time. They could care less. Unless they got over a million of these emails.. or something. but then, are there even one million smarks in this world?
Guest nikowwf Report post Posted October 23, 2002 Everyone always says that. So it winds up 6 people email, and nothing gets done. Why people like to whine to each other and not tell the source what they think is beyond me. if they got a few hundred emails about the same thing it could make a difference. Vince panics easily. (i didnt mean to direct that toward you in general btw if it sounded like that im sorry) Niko
Guest mach7 Report post Posted October 23, 2002 No I get what you're saying. But it's been shown lately that WWE and Vince could care less about what the "internet contingent" thinks of their product. So, in other words - if it's 6 or 600 emails, they're probably all just being forwarded to the trash bin. You want to make noise? I think a good idea would be to take out a full page ad in the NY Post stating all of your [or our] opinions and misgivings [being careful, of course, not to mention the words "internet", "smark", "mark" ;p ] and that would get their attention. Sure, it costs a lot. But I bet you if someone responsible got behind the cause, and everyone interested on this board gave a dollar, it'd probably be easy to raise the cash. Of course, I'm a Canuck, so my dollar is only worth 63 cents to you. ;]
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted October 23, 2002 Here's what I sent. The way I see it, they can't help but get the point I'm trying to make. "HHH is slow and boring, and this Katie Vick mess is stupid."

Remember, he is the babyface here. Maybe if he gets zero reaction or a negative reaction vince will panic. Ummmm, seeing as he threw the supposedly popular Taker off a stage and injured him for an undetermined amount of time, I think a negative reaction is pretty much a given. Especially if the're still down south.

Plus, I'm pretty sure that whatever sign you make with reference to the Big Show is pretty much gonna say in WWE's collective clusterfuck of a brain that "Hey, he's over with the fans! Well, they took the time to make a sign! Let's push him some more!"
Guest Brian Report post Posted October 23, 2002 No. Just ignore it and stop watching RAW. They want pub or attention of any kind right now.

Guest mach7 Report post Posted October 23, 2002 But if no one mails in it will seem like we are content with the programming. Ah, the double-edged sword. Damned if you do. Damned if you don't. ;p
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted October 23, 2002 Well not really. I believe it allows people to vent their frustrations - fruitless or not - and if the WWF gets wind of it, all the better.
Guest Zero_Cool Report post Posted October 23, 2002 Here is my e-mail... I believe that the match-up that you seem to have planned for the Survivor Series main event later next month at Madison Square Garden is a big mistake. First off, you seem to have forgotten that the last time most people saw the Big Show, he was losing by count-out to Jeff Hardy in the early second half of RAW. People do not care about The Big Show. People do not care about the man because the creative team has, over the years, turned him face and heel a combined 37 times, killing his heat to the point of his character never being able to recover that lost heat. Also, please do not have Show go to a psychoanalyst one day to find out that he is bi-polar. To quote a certain RAW announcer, "Bi-polar disorders don't belong in wrestling." Also, is Big Show supposed to be the face in this feud with Brock? I ask this question because having him throw your number one face on Smackdown! off of a stage is not the way to go about it. I fear that you guys are heading for not only a terrible match come SS, but also a match in which the crowd shows nothing but apathy for the two workers. This can be very detrimental to Brock Lesnar growth as a Champion and as a wrestler, as well. It may well tarnish his confidence in a way that will make him unsure of himself for months to come. Of course, this may be the worst case scenario. Unfortunately, I see the best scenario as being a boring fifteen minute match, with five minutes worth of bearhugs, and another ten for worthless and weak kicking and punching, with the only time the crowd wakes up is when Lesnar throws Show into the F5. I wouldn't want to see the buyrate for that Pay-Per-View. I recommend taking a close look at this feud to make sure you do not make a big mistake. As a fan, I see that Edge would be a worthy challenger for Lesnar in front of that New York crowd. I, and the rest of the fans that watch your enjoyable show Smackdown!, realize that Edge may be "over" enough with the crowd to warrant a main event showing on a major PPV. Reports across the 'net seem to relay the news that Edge/Brock matches are tearing it up on the house shows. Why not give Edge a shot? The whole point of this e-mail is to tell you that a Big Show/Brock Lesnar feud is bad business and most of all, bad wrestling.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted October 23, 2002 I do not endorse this pro Edge email. Give me the Big Show.

Guest Pop Culture God Report post Posted October 23, 2002 bps, Edge is better on his worst day than Big Show. Let's quit the whining.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted October 23, 2002 There are people better and more desreving than Edge on that roster. Like...say...the guys who have been carrying him all year. Angle, Eddy and Benoit are the workhorses on that show.
Guest Pop Culture God Report post Posted October 23, 2002 Angle Eddy and Benoit are all emboiled in a feud right now. To quickly remove them and hotshot them into a title match would be detrimental to their characters and booking on the whole. Remember, consistancy is what we are looking for. Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted October 23, 2002 Didn't Edge and Rey just beat the Guerreros again on SD! to earn another title shot? It seems to me that all 3 teams are in that feud and the match at SS will likely be a three way.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted October 23, 2002 Oh... and your consistency logic loses me when the entire idea is based on scrapping the LEsnar/Show feud that has been started in the first place.

Nope. Just have the title shot take place on the next SD! with Lesnar decisivly winning and we forget this happened. Oh, and I didn't hear about Edge getting a tag shot. I'll have to watch SD! Guest Luke Michael Report post Posted October 23, 2002 I agree with you!! Big Show vs Brock is shit and I won't be getting the ppv either unless the Elimination Chamber is really good.
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2002 Big Show and Brock Lesnar would only be good as a TV match. For a PPV main event...just no. Would be a worse main event than the Heroes of Wrestling PPV from so long ago.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted October 23, 2002 I don't think the WWF is counting on Big Show/Lesnar to be their draw - the Elimination Chamber and HHH/Kane pay-off is what they are looking at to bring in the buyrates.
