Please write to the above address the following or some variation if you agree with me.

This is the letter that I emailed to WWE.

Dear WWE:

I'm a lifelong fan of WWF/E, and I've bought almost every pay-per-view since 1990 as well as thousands of dollars worth of WWF/E merchandise through the years. However, throughout the last month I haven't been watching your television programs (especially RAW) with the same enthusiasm that I once had.

The root of this problem is the Kane VS Triple H feud. I would say that's it's been boring, but then that'd be an insult to the D'Lo VS Test match which was on RAW this past Monday (which I found more entertaining than the entire feud between Kane and HHH) Kane VS. Triple H has been such a horrible feud that I'm tempted to gouge my own eyes out and pop a pencil into my eardrum to avoid it (figuratively speaking of course...). But just when I thought that your product couldn't get any worse, I read the spoilers for this Thursdays Smackdown show...

A Big Show main event push? No offense, but if you think the WWE fans want to see this then I can see why you lost 3 million dollars+ in the last quarter. Push Edge, push Eddie Guerrero, push Kurt Angle, push Chris Benoit, for God's sake push Jamie Noble; just not the Big Show! I can say without an ounce of doubt that Paul Wight is the worst wrestler I've ever seen in my entire life (and I've seen Chyna matches!). WWE No Mercy was a bad pay per view and the last 2 months of RAW episodes have been amongst the worst of all-time, but I've been watching anyway. If Big Show VS Brock Lesnar is the main event of Survivor Series, then I know that it'll have one of the lowest buy-rates since WCW's Sin pay per view and I certainly won't be ordering it.

Concerned Fan,

Jonathan

I'd have no problem with Show getting a title shot on TV.

But just throwing Edge in to the main event with no build does no good for him, Brock or anyone else.

Then again...something we haven't thought about just yet.

Bischoff announced the Elimination Chamber, but he DIDN'T announce the participants.

Could this be interpromotional?

....OK, I know, I'm grasping at straws.

So, Goodear...

you think Edge is better than those people?

Sigh... yes Eddie, Benoit, and Angle are better wrestlers than Edge, but Edge is in no way, shape or form soooo far behind them that its horrible to give him a title shot. Its not like they have not been carrying him all year like a sack of worthless potatos, with him doing absolutely nothing in return. Edge also has more charisma than Benoit and is probably more over than Eddie. In addition, Edge is a face and it would be a better fit to put him against Lesner, as opposed to turning one of the other three just before giving them a title shot. You sound as though giving Edge a main event is a criminal offense.

Giving Edge, who they have spent SO LONG giving a slow climb up the ladder a title shot out of the blue to a guy he can't go over is a bad idea IMO.

I'm surprised Edge hasn't got jobbed out left & right already since he got over. Usual WWE Logic is not to let the "Mid-Card" guys get too over. See Matt Hardy, Tajiri, and even RVD now.

I wouldn't be shocked if Edge is next for Lesnar. It's probably over due.

Oh, you don't have to make it out of the blue. If they book the match the SmackDown after Show loses his hypothetical title shot, then you can build a multi-month feud. You can do it the old-fashioned way: A couple tag matches on TV lead to an indescisive PPV match, that leads to another match where Brock finally beats Edge, but doesn't "retire" him.

And why am I not surprised at this?

Geez, there are bigger fish to fry out there than to continue with this asinine Edge-hating.

Can I at least wait to see if he can have a watchable match with someone NOT a certifiably great worker?

I'm not feeling it.

Well, consider the alternatives.

At least Edge walks instead of waddling.

But the slow climb has reached the point where Edge has already faced the number 2-4 heels (like if they were ranked or somethingbased on wins) on SmackDown! a whole bunch of times. There's basically one last place to go, and that's the tippy top. The other guys (Eddie, Chris, Angle) would not only have to be lifted up that other spot, but would also have to make a transition to face in the same amount of time. And given the dicey nature of face turns (see Angle's face turn against Austin), it seems wiser to take a established face like Edge and put him in the role while perhaps transitioning one of the other three to face to see how they handle it.

Edge had watchable to good matches with:

Rhyno

Marc Mero

Al Snow

Gangrel

Test

Bubba Ray Dudley

He's a good worker, maybe the next Bret Hart when he gets some more experience.

But He is the ONLY face on SD! at this point.

Why would they just rush to give away what amounts to the #1 face vs. the champion heel?

That sounds more like WrestleMania to me.

The difference between Edge and RVD is that RVD has a boatload of title shots under his belt...shich he obviously didn't win.

I don't like Edge...but if they spent this long pushing him slowly up...he should be a guy who wins the title the first time...in an important match.

I'm trying to remember when Edge had unwatchable matches that didn't envolve William Regal. Honestly, other than that, Edge has always been watchable with his matches all the way back to his debut. Yeah, he's better now facing great opponents... but that's what is supposed to happen as you age and mature. Even the Guerreros don't get great matches out of Mark Henry.

Because they would never risk Lesnar/Edge for a WM ME. They need to see if it sells at the PPV level first.

I agree with P.C.G., I don't think you want to risk an untested draw like Edge against Lesner at a Wrestlemania without first seeing if he can highlight a normal PPV.

Some people are fucking ignorant.

Why exactly am I f*cking ignorant, oh god of the message board? Because I sent an email to the WWE instead of just posting to a message board.

Niko

No, because you sent an e-mail to the WWE because you don't want to watch Big Show/Brock. Like they give a flying fuck in hades what you think.

On a happier note, people are saying that in recent SD! House Shows Edge/Lesnar "...STOLE THE SHOW..." and was "...THE BEST MATCH OF THE NIGHT..."

Keep in mind Benoit and Angle work the house shows.

Jesus could main event a ppv right now and it won't crack a good buyrate.

By this standard...time will show that Brock couldn't headline a ppv either...after the Unforgiven and No Mercy buys come in.

Whine, Whine, Whine

So, since business is down, they should just give up right? Business was much worse in 95 and 96. I bet you would have been a lot of help then too.

I never get this mentality, to b*tch on a message board is ok but to b*tch to the source is a waste of time. Fine, if you say so. On to other things...

It scares me to think Edge would headline Wrestlemania without headlining a regular PPV first. I think Edge could face Brock for 2 months, not go over and still not be killed by this. I just don't see Edge having the credibility to beat Brock at this point, it seems...forced.

For me, if Angle is not in the main event of Wrestlemania it will be a collossal disappointment to me.

Hey...

you said wait and see if he'll draw a regualr ppv.

No one is going to draw a regualr ppv right now...so it would prove nothing.

I'd rather they save it and give the shots to the top faces on the show when it counts.

Actually if you approach and market every PPV like it means something, instead of some half-assed attempt to get a check from In-Demand the you'd see the public respond.

Oh, and I said "Wait and see" not "Well, no one could pop a buyrate, so why bother?"

Big difference.

That doesn't work in the slightest when the plan already wasted half if the build up on getting the Big Shows match out of the way.

Well, you need Show out of the way on next weeks SD! You could do it show Lesnar attacks him and injures him without a match. Or you could just go for two-weeks build-up to the first match then expand on the build for the next month's PPV and finally blow it off at... Royal Rumble? or whatever. Then build the WrestleMania feud, whatever that will be.

I'm not feeling it.

Obviously the WWE isn't either...as they passed up Eddy, Edge, Benoit and Angle and brought over the weakest link from the weakest show to main event.

Funny, I always thought that wrestling-wise, Raw's weakest link (besides HHH) was Jeff Hardy.

But maybe that's me.
