And knowing that Brock versus just about any of the SD!6 would top HHH v. Kane II, we're subjected to The Big Show v. Brock in the undercard for 6-10 minutes. Everybody said it was good, because it was WWE style main that protected both guys, with Brock and Edge both bumping fro each other with Brock bringing the power and Edge selling as face in peril. Brock got a decent match out of Taker, even a good match sans Taker's selling, he can do fine with Edge. I still think they're keeping Edge protected for later since I've never heard any rumors, Observer or Torch, of him main eventing. Nice job by OU this past weekend with that near shut-out on Iowa State. I think they're going to go all the way this year. What do you think? Anyways my email was to merely state some displeasure I have over the product in general. I've been a wrestling fan for 12 years and never in my life have I been so close to turning off WWE for good. And no it isn't because I'm outraged over HHH having sex with a dummy. No that is not the reaction I have to this. I am not shocked or disgusted. Frankly I think that it is boring and has no place in wrestling. RAW has been terrible over the past few weeks and this will not make it better. I've heard everywhere that you guys want to get a reaction from that segment, well fact is you are not going to get a reaction from that segment. Because the only people left watching are the hardcore fans. And we want what I'm sure you want JR....good wrestling. HHH on top of the company fighting Kane in terrible/slow/boring matches are not what we want. We want RVD and Booker T. tearing it up in the ring over the world title against the likes of Jericho and Lance Storm. We want Hurricane wrestling for 20 minutes against a wrestler that can keep up with him. We don't want Kane/Bradshaw/Bubba/HHH taking up time on the show. Because quite frankly those guys are boring and it takes a miracle worker(Benoit/Guerrerro/Angle) to get a good match out of them. Now I know I may sound like a never happy internet "smark" but I know what I like. And I know what my 4 friends who come to watch PPV's with me want. And we most definetly do not want what was on RAW this past week. This is not the answer JR. I'm sure you can see that. I think Vince needs to face the fact that his writing staff is probably the worst he's ever had and that all of these "shockers" are not going to gain him any attention. The name of the company is World WRESTLING Entertainment. Wrestling is the key word there. With wrestling entertainment comes. I'm sure you understand this. I mean you may think that fans these days do not want to see matches like the Flair/Steamboat classics of yesteryear but I assure you that if you train them then they will enjoy it and business will turn around. Sure ratings may dip at first but you should know that is part of the process. They will dip but in the long run they will shoot into the sky. The fans are already beginning to appreciate the good wrestling you just need to give them another push. Think of the standing ovation that Eddie Guerrerro got on SD! after his match with Edge. Think of the reaction Angle and Benoit got for there Match of the Year Canidate at Unforgiven. This is what the fans want and I implore you to give it to them. Guys like Edge/Booker T./Chris Jericho(when pushed right, not made to look like a joke like earlier this year)/Chris Benoit/Hurricane/Kurt Angle/Eddie Guerrerro/Jamie Noble/Rey Mysterio/and even Brock Lesnar are the future of this company. Not boring hosses like Albert/Undertaker/Rikishi/Big Show/ or HHH. Please I implore you to do this. And I also implore you, after reading SD! spoilers, to not allow a Big Show/Brock Lesnar match to happen at Surivivor Series. This could quite possibley be one of the worst matches ever. Topping even Undertaker/HHH from King of the Ring in pure horridness. And I can gurantee you that no fan would want to pay money to see that. Please JR from a real fan and a fellow Sooner stand up and say something about this before it is to late." I just sent this to Jim Ross using my OU email address. The HHH / Foley match was better than this HIAC, but it wasn't super fast based action. It was move, sell for a bit, move, sell for a bit.. Big Show / Brock will be both Slow AND Boring. Taker is a better worker than Show and gets more heat from the crowd. Anyway, isn't Show a heel? Or did squashing both Undertaker and Rikishi make him a face. I'd like to see Edge / Brock. They seem to be keeping Benoit/Angle together this month, and a Benoit/Angle/Brock main event gets BOTH of Smackdowns best guys beaten at the same time. Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted October 24, 2002 Taker/Brock wasn't hideous, it's true. It wasn't good, obviously, but it was better than some of the other brutal Taker matches we've seen lately. It was slow, because Taker and Brock are slow, but it was still ok. Blood helps any match, plus Brock, who I haven't seen in a while since he's on Smackdown, really bumped like a freak, and sells too. That's why I never understood giving Brock, who's best skill seems to be bumping and selling, a no-selling monster gimmick. Anyway, point is, Show/Brock will be terrible, because Show is the slowest guy in wrestling, and Brock is playing a slow guy, anyway. I see a veeeeeeery long bearhug in our future.
