Guest art_vandelay Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 Someone on another board came up with this. Since this feud is about a shampoo commercial, why not make it a hair vs. hair match? See, Booker wants Edge to lose his "lion-like" hair so that there would be no way for him to film the commercial. And Edge, well Edge wants Booker T to shut the fuck up about how great his hair is. I think it's a great stip. There hasn't been a hair vs. hair match since the classic bout between Ice Cold vs. Lana Starr at the WOW ppv. Obviously Edge would go over in this match. First because he's in his home town. Second, because it's bad business to make your heart-throb ugly. Third because I think The Book would actually look pretty good with a bald head.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 As long as Beefcake stays away..... I fear he would return for this.
Guest goodhelmet Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 vandelay, that was a perfect way to make the match appealing even if the reason for the feud is one of the dumbest ideas ever.
Guest Tony149 Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 I don't know. I think Booker T would look weird bald. Edge would look hilarious bald.
Guest The Hitman Returns Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 Great idea!!! I am really sick of seeing Booker's Knappy hair every week. Cut off the nasty corn rows or what ever they call the nasty shit. Can you imagine tying up with Booker, I mean the putrid smell of the nasty hair, you know it has'nt been washed since Vince bought WCW last March.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 oh and why hasn't it been washed since vince bought wcw?? *waits with baited breath*
Guest art_vandelay Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 Oh Hitman, you're brutal. I don't think the feud is that stupid. At least they have a storyline. Plus, the vignettes are entertaining. I hope they actually film the commercial and air it on Raw. You know how great those Japanese commercials are.
Guest The Hitman Returns Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 I don't think you can wash corn rows....
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 you can undo them and wash them and than redo them.
Guest The Vanilla Midget Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 i was thinking about this the other day when i read the SD spoilers, and i came to the conclusion that the only way for this storyline to go *anywhere* is if there is a hair vs hair match. it would probably be a very cool match, with edge going over (hometown and his probably looking ridiculous bald). however it doesnt have to be clean, and could trigger a double turn, which is what both guys *desperately* need.
Guest Brian Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 Edge needs to win with help from Christian, triggering the double turn. Then Storm/Credible reform to battle against theoff-beat shenanigans of E&C.
Guest Risk Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 Edge should lose..because it would be funny and all the teenyboppers would cry themselves to sleep.
Guest Army Eye Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 Surely you wouldn't suggest trying to turn Edge heel.. in Toronto..
Guest Slapnuts00 Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 Surely you wouldn't suggest trying to turn Edge heel.. in Toronto.. Austin turned heel in Texas last year...
Guest The Masked Yodeler Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 Yeah, but we're talking about Canada. A Canadian wrestler could individually insult every member of the crowd, and then beat up 5 small children in the middle of the ring, and he'd still get cheered. Except for Test. Even the Canadians know he sucks.
Guest converge241 Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 Edge bald = very scary sight. It would be good if T lost and lost that hairdo. is it just me or did Boooker look more marketable and like a bigger star with the old haircut?
Guest the jesuit pig Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 Booker's hair now is sweet...he used to have a hightop fade thing which was ultra queer.
Guest WWF4Life Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 Regardless of the Hair vs. Hair stip, the match would be great, so hopefully it happens. I seem to remember I suggested the match a few weeks ago!! I RULE!!!! =)
Guest Big Poppa Smurf Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 Okay, let me see if I get this, 90% of the WWF roster of white guys have long stringy hair thats longer than most of the women in the company, that gets in their face while they wrestle and just looks a friggin mess but Booker T's shoulder length dreads diminish his credibility somehow. That is some incredibly ass backwards reasoning.
Guest converge241 Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 It doesnt hurt his credibility at all, and im not comparing him to other wrestlers , white or otherwise. It was just an opinion about his hair since were talking about some hair vs hair match over shampoo. I thought one hairstyle looked better than the other, like hogan with bandana vs hogan without.
Guest Army Eye Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 Surely you wouldn't suggest trying to turn Edge heel.. in Toronto.. Austin turned heel in Texas last year... Exactly my point. The crowd still cheered like crazy.
Guest saturnmark4life Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 Booker's current hair makes him look less 80's than the square hair did. It's too long but I'd keep to that style. Edge might need to sort his out so he looks less 80's metal, but god forbid Booker should win on ppv.
Guest Brian Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 Austin was crazy over last year plus it was part of his comeback, Edge will be nowhere near the level he was plus putting him with Christian may change the whole outlook.
Guest goodhelmet Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 I agree completely with Poppa Smurf. i think a haircut is in store for edge. what is there to distinguish him from the 100 other long haired blonde boys in the wwf? a shorter 'do would probably help his career, not hinder it. As for Booker, his hair is fine and has nothing to do with his wrestling ability or popularity.
Guest Risk Posted March 3, 2002 Report Posted March 3, 2002 Maybe Maven vs. Test in an eyebrow vs. eyebrow match. Loser gets shaved. Edge would look like a friggin psycho bald...CUT HIS HAIR!
Guest HellSpawn Posted March 3, 2002 Report Posted March 3, 2002 Excellent Idea ! I just have one question for you guys on USA. In a hair v. hair match, the loser must have his head shaved? because I remember SummerSlam 98, JJ lost v. X-Pac, and Fink (and another balds) just cut him a few locks, later I saw him with his TM short hair, but I never saw him Bald.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted March 3, 2002 Report Posted March 3, 2002 they almost never have the loser lose all his hair.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted March 3, 2002 Report Posted March 3, 2002 The last one that I can remember where the loser got his head shaved was at Bash at the Beach 1998 when Eddy Guerrero d. Chavo.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted March 3, 2002 Report Posted March 3, 2002 god i loved the eddy chavo storyline. CHEAT TO WIN
Guest Flyboy Posted March 3, 2002 Report Posted March 3, 2002 Yeah, but we're talking about Canada. A Canadian wrestler could individually insult every member of the crowd, and then beat up 5 small children in the middle of the ring, and he'd still get cheered. Except for Test. Even the Canadians know he sucks. I think that's a pretty good idea... make the match more interesting. Also about the Test thing.... *laughs.... a lot* When Canada knows that you suck as a wrestler even if YOU'RE FROM CANADA... that's bad. That's REALLY bad.
