Windows Media Player problem

Recommended Posts

Guest El Satanico

I'm having trouble playing some of my mpegs on my WMP version 7. The audio plays fine on all of them, but on some of them the video won't come up. The ones that aren't playing the video needs the following Video Codec "Microsoft MPEG-4 Video Codec V3".

Does anyone know where i can get that Codec from or will that one even work on WMP version 7?

Off the top, have you tried to download it from the Windows download page. I generally have a hard time getting visaulizations to play on the Windows media player.

MPEG-4 files are DivX compressed. You can get a player for those files at DivX.com (download the adware bundle).

I already have Divx Player 2.0 Alpha. Is that the player you're referring to?
