Guest Midnight Express83 Posted October 24, 2002 Report Posted October 24, 2002 Well, I did NOT need to know that.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted October 24, 2002 Report Posted October 24, 2002 You know, I used to be into necrophilia, bestiality, and sadism. But I gave it up, because it was beating a dead horse. Booooooooo! Good try. But Booooooooooooo! As for all these complaints, well, I guess it stands to reason that when you do the stupidest thing you could ever possibly do, you will get the most negative reaction you could possibly get.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted October 24, 2002 Report Posted October 24, 2002 Oh that dead horse line is funny.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted October 24, 2002 Report Posted October 24, 2002 Hmm....I wonder if they are viewing this as: "No! People are hating the product!" or "Yay! We're creating interest with all of this controversy!" And you know 80% of those emails were from marks talking about how offended they were which is what the WWE wanted. We need to tell them "Hey I wasn't offended. I thought it was dumb."
Guest Trivia247 Posted October 24, 2002 Report Posted October 24, 2002 What Vince sees.... 1,300 Complaints..... thats not a bad thing..... Thats a good thing (alla DDP) because thats mean 1,300 People Must be Watching the shit to complain about the shit. He doesn't get that its Bad Until People just FLAT OUT STOP WATCHING. think its about time the Smarks Pool our Money and Fund a Independant wrestling fed to get a TV deal for mondays and thursdays. Its so sad.
Guest The Amazing Rando Posted October 24, 2002 Report Posted October 24, 2002 I don't think I can stop watching for good...I can switch the channel...but my 9 year love of the 'sport' will never die... that being said... we needed 13 THOUSAND complaints...
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted October 24, 2002 Report Posted October 24, 2002 We all have our limits Rando. I thought that I would never stop watching the simpsons - yet every sunday for the past 4 years - the channel is not on Fox.
Guest The Amazing Rando Posted October 24, 2002 Report Posted October 24, 2002 i don't watch the Simpsons cause I work Sunday nights...
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted October 24, 2002 Report Posted October 24, 2002 I figured out how to force change. Email TNN and tell them that if Raw doesn't meet out list of demands, we all boycott CSI.
Guest AndrewTS Posted October 24, 2002 Report Posted October 24, 2002 What Vince sees.... 1,300 Complaints..... thats not a bad thing..... He doesn't get that its Bad Until People just FLAT OUT STOP WATCHING. think its about time the Smarks Pool our Money and Fund a Independant wrestling fed to get a TV deal for mondays and thursdays. Its so sad. The ratings went down on a POST PPV SHOW!! And I flat out stopped watching and so did many others here. Next week, expect ratings to drop again further.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted October 24, 2002 Report Posted October 24, 2002 I wonder if SD! will suffer too. Parents and outraged people don't give two shits about the split. They just don't want WWE programming on the TV anymore.
Guest Trivia247 Posted October 24, 2002 Report Posted October 24, 2002 the soaps on Smackdown is alot less 6 feet under meets OZ meets Queer as Folks Meets Jerry Springer. Smackdown its big Soaps was the Alliegation of the Undertaker screwing around on his Wife...WOW what a headline, and they even killed that angle nice and neat with that little heart to Heart between Tracy and Steph... isn't it nice when big breasted women can speak to each other so frankly. But Raw.... it never ends..it just gets worse..and you'd think Necrophilla was the absolute ROCK BOTTOM.
Guest chirs3 Posted October 24, 2002 Report Posted October 24, 2002 I still don't see Smackdown's "Taker = CHEATER~!" as much of a soap opera angle. It seemed to me like legitimate mind games on Brock's part. I say legitimate because accusing someone of being a murdering necropheliac is, oppositely, NOT legitimate mind games.
Guest art_vandelay Posted October 24, 2002 Report Posted October 24, 2002 All this CONTROVERSY would make a kick ass story on Confidential.
Guest AndrewTS Posted October 24, 2002 Report Posted October 24, 2002 All this CONTROVERSY would make a kick ass story on Confidential. I'm wondering when they'll put up that big expose revealing that the sliding ratings and bad business is...Jericho's fault. Well, if Jericho had decided not to re-sign and left, you'd KNOW you'd be seeing that.
Guest Vern Gagne Posted October 24, 2002 Report Posted October 24, 2002 At Jericho, Booker T., RVD and people with some actual talent aren't being dragged into this awful storyline.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted October 24, 2002 Report Posted October 24, 2002 What Vince sees.... 1,300 Complaints..... thats not a bad thing..... Thats a good thing (alla DDP) because thats mean 1,300 People Must be Watching the shit to complain about the shit. Or, Vince is thinking. "Well, since all the Complaints came from E-Mails, Their just a bunch of 'Internet, Know It alls' who don't get it." You know what's gonna be even more stupid next Monday? When Kane pulls into the Arena with Triple H still in the trunk. Or, their open the show with Kane driving down to the ring, "Austin Style." Then he'll open up the trunk and beat the Crap out of Triple H, until Flair makes the save so Triple H can get away. <JR> BY GAWD!!!! LOOK AT THE LOOK ON TRIPLE H'S FACE!!!! WHAT KIND OF HELL DID KANE PUT THE BASTARD THROUGH THIS PAST WEEK?!?!!? <Lawler> WHOOOO HOOOOO.....
Guest Midnight Express83 Posted October 24, 2002 Report Posted October 24, 2002 Knowing the WWE, the video would be some Gay SM tape where Trips lost his manhood.
Guest RenegadeX28 Posted October 24, 2002 Report Posted October 24, 2002 Who cares if the WWE gets mainstream attention? It's not like a million non-wrestling fans will all of a sudden watch WWE just to see necrophilia. Even at the poll at the website, at one time, I saw 70-75% of people not liking the the angle. Of course Vince won't care what we think, so starting next week, we will probably see another great angle....Kane turns into a sniper and stalks HHH...hey, the WWE does want mainstream attention.....
Guest AnnieEclectic Posted October 24, 2002 Report Posted October 24, 2002 cynical profit: There once was a wrestler named "Pogo the Clown" with the finisher "Buried in the Basement".... Johm Wayne Gacy as a wrestler. so the WWE only has to make Katie F/V/Sick 14 and you're all set. -Annie

That's horribly bush league, and there are a lot of things WWE couldn't do even if they wanted to... But they are damn sure trying to move in that direction.
Guest JMFabiano524 Posted October 25, 2002 Report Posted October 25, 2002 Just a theory, but given this and the other "controversial" angles we've seen in the recent past, in addition to Vince's reputation for being a sore winner (see: Montreal in 1997, WCW in 2001), is this his way of rubbing in the fact that the PTC are now powerless to say anything about what the WWE is doing? As much as I think Bozell is a wacko, I have this perverse urge to see him go off on Raw is Necrophelia and such. J.
