SmackDown! preview for Oct. 24, 2002

The fallout from No Mercy continues Thursday night on UPN!

The unlikely duo of Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle worked well together at No Mercy, winning the WWE Tag Team Championship Tournament. How long will these two long-time enemies be able to coexist? Find out Thursday on SmackDown!

Also, Thursday's SmackDown! marks the return of Big Show to the program. After weeks of feeling uncomfortable with his roster spot on RAW, Big Show demanded respect from General Manager Eric Bischoff. What Show got instead was himself traded to SmackDown! The giant will undoubtedly want to make his presence felt. Be sure to see his return Thursday night on UPN.

This and much more lights up the small screen at 8/7 CT Thursday night on UPN!

Also, my non-spoiler match previews:

Rikishi vs. Matt Hardy

Noble vs. Tajiri

Edge & Mysterio vs. Guerreros

Kidman vs. Cena

Benoit vs. Angle!

I think necrophilia jokes are becoming just as lame as the act itself. C'mon people, switch up the humor. I can hardly wait for Smackdown! though.......in 17 hours.

Yeah, but next week Raw will likely give us something worse to joke about. And sorry if I put this up a little soon--but noticed the preview was up, and it is Thursday now...and most of are likely just begging for it to come on so they can forget Raw (even guys like us who just read results).

Oh, and something else I forgot to mention--some unclean endings there in some matches, but overall the line up looks strong.

Still, I wonder why they suddenly built up the Tajiri/Noble angle and just tossed it on the PPV--now are doing a rematch. It building to a SurSer match or what? And wonder if Rey's going to chase after it soon--though no complaints about what he's doing now (Cal-Can Connection, if you will).

Smackdown looks like it should be good this week like it always is. Benoit vs. Angle is the match I'm looking forward to seeing.

I'll watch Survivor and check out the second hour.

Ooooh Angle and Benoit.

I wonder if something is going to happen to pull them back together. Looks like they just started getting along .

Maybe they'll have a love/hate relationship going on like Shawn Michaels and Steve Austin did when they were WWF tag team champions.

I kinda liked the storyline they had going there with those two.

I can't see how it can fail to be good with Angle/Benoit and E&R/Guerreros on the card, lets hope it doesn't dissapoint

The "wacky tag team partners who hate each other" storyline can grate on my nerves, IF it's done in the manner where title retaining are flukes (see Rico and Rikishi for example). Thankfully they've opted to not go that route. Benoit and Angle seem to be developing a grudging respect, but there IS tension there, buildig on from past history.

And Rey seems to be getting a lot of credibility these days--nice job SD team!

Now, if only SD could cut some fat slugs and get rid of a certain big-breasted bimbo...

The tragic thing is of all the talent the WWE has on their roster, only 6 guys on Smackdown seem to make the show. Eddy, Chavo, Benoit, Angle, Edge and Rey Rey.

And are they fighting Brock?

WWE: No no no..No one wants to see that!

Are they fighting over a title?

WWE: ...Tag Titles.

Singles Title?

WWE: Singles Title?

Singles Push?

WWE: BROCK LESNOR! TRIPLE H!

No for the Smackdown Six.

WWE:.....brock lesnor....triple h....test?

Six.

WWE: Pac? Sorry he isn't employed here anymore.

Rey Rey!

WWE: Rikishi?

BENOIT!

WWE: Flair?

ANGLE!

WWE: Big Show?

EDDY!

WWE: Mark Henry?

EDGE!?

WWE: :spank:

.......right.

Was it just me, or do they seem to be building towards a Brock Lesnar face turn?

I'm just watching the interview now, and it appears that Lesnar will be the face against the heel Big Show.

That could be interesting...

Brock turns face, dumps Heyman.

Then Heyman gets someone to get revenge on Brock. Who will he get?

I'll give you a clue.

"GORE! GORE! GOOOOOOOOOOOOOORE!"

Well, Heyman didn't seem that happy that Lesnar & Undertaker have this mutual respect thing going on.

Cena's completed the heel turn that started last week as well.
