Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted October 24, 2002 Report Posted October 24, 2002 So, does anyone wait with baited breath for a certain time of year to gorge themselves on a food or drink available only around holidays? Personally, I drink gallons of Cider every fall.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted October 24, 2002 Report Posted October 24, 2002 Cadbury f'n Cream Eggs. Marshmallow Peeps also rock several worlds.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted October 24, 2002 Report Posted October 24, 2002 Ever seen the movie called "The Stuff"? It's about this white substance that comes out of the ground that is extremely tasty, but controls your mind, body, and soul. I am convinced this is what mallow peeps are primarily composed of. Therefore I do not eat the cheerful sugary bastards. Cadbury eggs on the other hand, look the fuck out, I'm ON it.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted October 24, 2002 Report Posted October 24, 2002 Never seen that movie, but that sounds about right. Gotta be the original Cream Eggs. They've had caramel eggs for the past few years or so. I'm not very fond of those.
Guest Choken One Posted October 24, 2002 Report Posted October 24, 2002 Well...Hot Chocolate can be made anytime of the year but it belongs to winter...Cider...Shocked to see my fridge not stocked with at least 2 jugs...btw...Why isn't their a pumpkin on the doorstep? Gotta get on that... Oh and Snow cones. Gotta love the cones.
Guest Insanityman Posted October 24, 2002 Report Posted October 24, 2002 Hmm... I'd let those little peep buggers control me. It's great stuff.
Guest El Satanico Posted October 25, 2002 Report Posted October 25, 2002 argh...i haaate cadbury cream eggs. They are so friggin nasty. I also enjoy the cider...hard or not. Hot Cider is good stuff.
Guest BoboBrazil Posted October 25, 2002 Report Posted October 25, 2002 I like fruit cake, cadbury's creme eggs, hot chocolate, pumpkin pie, and I had some hershey's chocolate covered marshmallow pumpkins the other night that were really good.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted October 25, 2002 Report Posted October 25, 2002 I don't care about seasonal goodies, but my better half gets a f'n orgasam over Apple Cider this time of year...
Guest Will Scarlet Posted October 26, 2002 Report Posted October 26, 2002 I absolutely love mincemeat pie, but I can almost never find it around here except around Christmas time.
Guest areacode212 Posted October 26, 2002 Report Posted October 26, 2002 Well, I love Christmastime for the egg nog of course. Also, Starbucks starts making yummy seasonal drinks around that time of year (egg nog latte, caramel apple cider).
Guest MrRant Posted October 27, 2002 Report Posted October 27, 2002 I am there for the Cider and Pumpkin Pie.. I LOVE Pumpkin Pie.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted October 27, 2002 Report Posted October 27, 2002 I *hate* pumpkin pie. Yuck! I rarely get to eat mashed potatoes & stuffing outside of Thanksgiving & Christmas, so I'll throw that into the "seasonal foods" listing for me.
Guest MaxPower27 Posted October 27, 2002 Report Posted October 27, 2002 Pumpkin pie, goose, egg nog, cadbury eggs, cider, and stuffing are all great seasonal foods. I hate peeps. At Wrestlemania 16, we got about 5 boxes of the goddamn things, and I haven't felt as bad as I did the day after that night in a long time. Ugh. Goddamn peeps.
Guest HungryJack Posted October 28, 2002 Report Posted October 28, 2002 y'know what rock ass??? The Oreos you can get at christmas that are coverd in white chocolate .those things are the TITS.
Guest treble charged Posted October 28, 2002 Report Posted October 28, 2002 President's Choice makes this peppermint candycane-type ice cream at Christmas every year, and I can't get enough of it. If my parents buy it too early, they usually have to hide it, or else there will be none left for dessert after Christmas dinner. I could probably eat two whole tubs of that in one sitting if given the chance.
Guest Lord of The Curry Posted October 30, 2002 Report Posted October 30, 2002 Treble- Testify, that fuckin ice cream owns! My dad used to work for PC so he brought home a fuckin ton of that shit back in the day.......now he works for A&W which stinks because I'm a vegetarian........
Guest treble charged Posted October 31, 2002 Report Posted October 31, 2002 I love that stuff so much. In a way, though, I'm glad it's only available for a small part of the year, otherwise, it would lose it's 'specialness'.
Guest converge241 Posted November 1, 2002 Report Posted November 1, 2002 I love warm apple cider and alcoholic egg nog
Guest Vern Gagne Posted November 2, 2002 Report Posted November 2, 2002 Nothing beats Hot Chocolate and Hot Cider.
Guest The Metal Maniac Posted November 5, 2002 Report Posted November 5, 2002 Rum and Egg Nog RULES IT~! Also, I love Easter, primarially because of the Cadbury Mini Eggs. I'd eat 2 pounds of those if you let me.
Guest The Old Me Posted November 5, 2002 Report Posted November 5, 2002 Easter time. Gertrude Hawk peanut butter eggs are the bomb!
