I know why RAW is so bad!!!!!

They want to make RAW this bad to play up the reality of the split.

They want people to think...that show is SO bad that the same company can't be responsible for both this and smackdown.

I'm having a hard time beleiving it myself.

It's all about the split.

It's all about the split, and don't you know it...

They want the shows seperate so Monday Raw shows it!

i'm almost convinced they want tnn to cancel their contract. almost. there certainly is a clear divergence between an angle-based show and a wrestling-based show. the programs are becoming very seperate entities.

I've thought about this. But the only thing is that it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to destroy what was the flagship, history making program.

Unless they do want TNN to deep-six the RAW contract. Then it makes perfect sense. It's idiotic business, but it at least has some degree of logic to it.

interesting.

Yeah, that is a good point. The shows seem more like different brands competing now than ever before.

"I know why RAW is so bad!!!!!"

you do? could you pass it on to Vince so he can ignore it?

ive had those same thoughts but they couldnt possibly do that?

*thinks of previous worked-shoots*

*thinks of Vince's ego and general disregard*

hmmm

Well they said the HHH rape tape was done just to get mainstream attention (Although I don't know why you'd want that same old, "See, wrestling IS stupid" attention), so maybe this string of bad shows is their idea of "controversial."

I have noticed a big difference between RAW and Smackdown. To me, it seems like they want to make one show suck, that being RAW, and one show turn out good, that being Smackdown. In a way, it makes sense to do it this way. If Smackdown sucked as bad as RAW, nobody would tune in due to the fact it's taped on Tuesdays, and alot of fans read spoilers. Therefore, the TV ratings would be pretty low. Vince and company need to make both shows good.

You're acting like Smackdown han't been turning into the Undertaker-Big Show-Brock-Steph show. I mean aside from the two good matches every week involving Benoit-Angle-Eddy-Edge, Smackdown isn't THAT much better.

Brock and Undertaker actually had a decent feud one the end result came through the way it did. If Undertaker had done a repeat performance, it would have been different, but he did a decent job in the end. Storylines move around better, there's better character development, more guys seem to get exposed, and there's actually a focus on ring work (for the most part, excluding Dawn/Torrie).

Also, Smackdown! isn't on a cable network. Bigger contract, more money to risk losing, if they went the other way around...

If Vince had a real set of Balls, he would, for a one time only deal, have Raw go up against a "Special" Live Smackdown on a Monday Night.

They would need to build it for a good month, put both shows on at 9pm and run to 11pm, and TRY, TRY, TRY, Friggen TRY, to make some good storylines and make the Fans pick which Show they would want to watch.

here is the major flaw in logic with this Split....Both shows are owned by the WWE. All money goes to Vince and co. Why split your fan base in 2 to make it look like comp. It doesn't matter for some who is on what show and who is on the other. It pointless to try to split up your fans if you are trying to make money. If Jericho went from RAW to Smackdown, I wouldn't give a shit. Because instead of mondays, he is on Thursdays. Big freaking deal.

If they put the idea out there of both shows against each other TNN and UPN would both say f*ck no. Dividing the audience they have into 2 is not a good idea.

If I have $100 and you have $100 its a good idea for me to get some of your money. If I have $100 and divide it in two I just have $50 in each hand. It doesn't become more magically.
