Juventud can't get a WWE job...

Recommended Posts

Guest Redhawk

I just read that while the Road Warriors are in "light" talks with WWE about coming in, Juventud Guerrera "failed to impress" the WWE brass.

Something is seriously wrong with the world.

Didn't Juventud piss them off when he worked a Dark Match a few weeks back and did everything that they told him not to do?

Yeah, they told Juventud to work a slow match and not to show off. He then proceded to do as many high spots and go as fast as he could the minute the match started.

God forbid the WWE tell the wrestlers to go out and entertain the fans.

That way...Juvi could get a job but the LOD couldn't.

But...hey...Vince is a genius.

LOL -- that's what those corpse-humping videos are supposed to do...

First of all, you can't have some no-name (not that I'm saying Juventud is a no-name) go out and show up your top talent. If your dark match is better than the main event, what does that say to the live crowd?? The top talent has to appear to be just that...on top.

Another point...what does the WWE need more right now...another Cruiserweight that'll never seen their way off Velocity, or a stronger Tag Division?? I'd say they need the help in the Tag Division, especially with two titles, and the splitting of all the previous teams (Hardys, Dudleyz, and E&C).

And...that stupid Mexican should have listened to them. That'd be like going to an interview wearing sweaties.

Maybe the main event shouldn't be able to be showed up by dark matches, ever think of that one?

You're pretty much asking for subpar work "just because."

No it says that maybe they are WRONG about who their top talent is. It should be guys who get good crowd reactions that should be main eventing, not guys who are using politics or are friends with the boss. I'm kinda happy Juvi went out there and said F-U to the WWF. Sure he wont make big bucks now, but they would have buried him anyways.

Um they fact they HAVE a cruiser weight division adn DONT showcase it means something is obviously wrong since they hired a bunch of cruisers. Youve got benoit/angle, edge/rey, the new dudleys. black and gold, the Kanenitties, and los gurreros(sp), Id say thats some good tag teams to work with.

No he shouldnt have, juvi is best as a crazy fucked up guy, hate to say it but its true, you have to be messed up to do some of the things he does. The guy can make a decent living off his name in Mexico and the indies, without adjusting his style to be "wwe." He got over by being a crazy crusier, you take that away from him, hes just another "stupid mexican." If shane wanted to bust out a 450, he'd be so dead, it wouldnt be funny. Juvi is better off doing his thing on his own.

Sides they would have fired him for drugs any ways, just like they will Scott Steiner.

It doesn't make the slightest bit of sense, what other company asks people to perform below their potential in a try out? It does go someway to explaining why Low Ki always seemed to be working much slower on Metal and Jakked though

The Legion of Doom haven't been a "strong" tag team in about 5 years.

"... light talks..."

This is all just lip service, since Johnny Ace is Animal's brother. No way are they bringing in those dinosaurs.

Of course, I said the same thing about Big Pile-a Crap Scott Steiner...

Why would Vince want to deal with those two idiots again? Aren't they known for being a pain in the ass backstage and also for not wanting to job, and hard to work with, and No-Sellings, and being stiff?

These Two are probably telling people that their in talks so all the Indy Feds and maybe even Japan or NWA:TWA, rush to give them work and get them on their shows before they "Sign" with WWE. Just a way for them to get some quick and Big pay checks.

Oh, and Juvi should have listen and did what he was told. At least wait until you're in the damn company before you disobey your boss' and try to make some power plays.

I'm glad Da Joose was shown the door. Nothing but a flippy floppy spot wrestler in a long (unemployment) line of them. Factor in that he's got a history of attitude and drug problems and no discernible character (that doesn't infringe upon someone else - *cough*DwayneJohnson*cough*), and you're looking at another casualty in the demise of Turner's little engine that couldn't, destined to either troll around the indies/non-NA leagues or end up being the most colourfully dressed burnout on Skid Row.

When the stuff about Juvi was first posted some said:

"Juvi probably felt it was more personal to say Fuck You in person in the ring than over the phone." Or something like that.

He may not want a WWE job, but had just wanted to give them a visual display of were to stick it.

Spot wrestler!?! Juventud is far more than a spot wrestler. Check out any of his Mexico stuff. One of the greatest rudoes ever with a serious hanging for reeling in Rey when he started to get spott in the day. <shill> Better yet, buy the Juvi/Rey tape during my five dollar tape sale. Link in sig. ::Thumbs up:: </shill> Anyways, Juvi did some dumb stuff in WCW but in Mexico he was perhaps one of the best wrestlers and heels in the world at a time.

I'm sure delivering a face-to-face snubbing is paramount to paying for rent or eating a hot meal. Or in his case, scoring your next hit.

Enjoy your obscurity, Juvi. You won't be missed.

Of course, they might also have asked Juvi to dumb it down to see how he handled being given instuctions he didn't like... Or perhaps they already knew what he could do in the air and with speed and wanted to see what else he was capable off...

At the end of the day, the job of a wrestler is to do whatever the bookers tell him to do. Opening up by doing the exact opposite is not a good plan.

That being said, bringing in the LOD would be a *gigantic* mistake...

Last time I checked (and have read in several interviews with the two) don't Animal and Hawk HATE Vince McMahon? I could've sworn reading something about Hawk claming Vince tried to ruin their careers during their last run when Droz was playing "pusher" to Hawk's "drunkard." And Animal was just the dork caught in the middle. ;p

Agreed.

Juventud has never been anything more than a wannabe combination of Rey Mysterio & The Rock. I've never seen anything special out of him.

In the Road Warriors Shoot, they bitched and Complained (More Hawk then Animal) more about Vince McMahon and the WWF then Bret Hart did in both his Shoots together.

I don't think the point is Juvi looked good so they didn't sign him. I think the point is they gave him instructions which he proceeded to ignore in his try out. If someone doesn't listen to you in what amounts to a job interview, why would you hire him?

As for the Road Warriors thats just stupid and hopefully nothing comes of it.

Niko

You guys are forgetting that Animals brother , Ace is working in the WWE comittee. The secret word is nepotism.

It means nothing. Johnny Ace is just a road agent. He's got as much stroke as Kevin Kelly.

Besides, reports are that Johnny Ace is steering clear of the whole thing, as it is clearly a conflict of interest.

In those same interviews I think Hawk has said that he still could make an impact in WWF and would like the chance.

Jhonny Ace is lobbying for JR's job, meaning he's got more stroke than anyone thinks.

Than you've never seen him in Mexico, because he was better than both those guys at one point.
