Well I just finished Lufia ATFOD

I was recommended to play this game by many people who by some reason consider the game underrated, so I said what the hey and I played the game all the way through. I usually enjoy RPG’s…but I found no joy in this game whatsoever. The game’s story for one has one and only one twist, other than that it’s go to A, then B, then go back to A again and so forth. The game has more random battles than any RPG I have ever played. Besides pointless banter between characters the game has very little development if any at all. This game is nothing compared to ANY of the FF, Bof…or if fact any other RPG game series, the fact that the Lufia series actually has a following is beyond me.

I just need to get that out of my system since I just wasted about 11 hours of my life…

Which Lufia did you play?

I enjoyed the SNES games...it was something of a "cookie-cutter" rpg I suppose, but I thought it did well in developing the four main characters, and I definately remember the games being super cool way when they first came out. I imagine Lufia 1's graphics are incredibly dated now, considering they weren't exactly nice compared to FF3.

I love the first game...one of my all time favs. It was just fun and entertaining enough to keep you going. Although I leveled up to 99 a lot faster then I expected to, didn't mean to really.

I played and beat the 2nd one too, but it was just go to a town, find out there problem, then go to the tower and fight it, return to the town, go to the next town...

It was never ending and the last bosses were easier then the first, that's not saying much though.

And the Cave that has 99 floors is always a great way to kill some time, I've made it to the 80s, but never made it all the way down.
