Guest converge241 Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 I'd vote for a franchise mode, where you could set up storylines, years worth of matches etc. The one player season/challenge modes are allright, but to have an entire roster advancing month by month? that would make for some good gaming. Any thoughts on any other modes, features, or matches?
Guest mathbrat Posted March 4, 2002 Report Posted March 4, 2002 That sounds awesome, but it would be very difficult to implement at a satifactory level. Naturally it would be easy to mix and match wrestlers for matches, but there needs to be some outside source of tension. Maybe if you had a boss that monitored your progess. Also there would need to be ways to get people over, draw heat, book feuds... it would be rather complicated.
Guest RetroRob215 Posted March 5, 2002 Report Posted March 5, 2002 I doubt that feature will be added to a game any time soon. In the meantime, download Extreme Warfare, it is the best simulator I have ever played. I love the concept of taking ECW with a 15% approval rating, no wrestlers or staff, and making them #1 in the World.

Guest J*ingus Posted March 6, 2002 Report Posted March 6, 2002 A season mode that's worth a damn. The computer's AI in setting up matches and feuds is arbitrary and worthless in all the ones out there now.
Guest Carbon Tiger Posted March 7, 2002 Report Posted March 7, 2002 How about this one. If they can improve the AI to make season mode worth a damn how about having your opponents adapt to your fighting style. You fight the same guys over the 'years' in season mode no real wrestler would lose to the same moves and finisher paterns that repeadly.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted March 7, 2002 Report Posted March 7, 2002 I would love to see a Survivor Series match. I used to have so much fun playing those in WWF RAW back on the SNES. With the new systems and being able to have more than just 4 guys in the ring at a time, a Survivor Series mode makes perfect sense.
Guest wrestlemaniac16 Posted March 9, 2002 Report Posted March 9, 2002 A franchise mode, where you fire, hire, rehire wrestlers. Create your own wrestler to set your company apart from the others, book your own matches, sign wrestlers from other companies, and all the other things a promoter does for his oragnization. Thats been my dream wrestling game.

Thinking realistically, I'd put in stuff like: [1] Being able to cut your own promo using the wrestler's actual voice (complete with changes in pitch and tone). [2] Making knives and guns available for hardcore matches. [3] Having the commentators not ever repeat themselves. [4] Making every fan in the audience look completely different. And once you finish your match, you go to another venue that has fans completely different from the previous set. These would all be dope and essential to my enjoyment, but the one thing I really need would be the inclusion of retirement matches and allowing wrestlers to go crazy and kill their opponent in the middle of the ring. Then the character who's been retired or murdered gets permanently deleted from the game. If you ever wanted to use them again, you'd have to buy another copy. This would help put retirement matches over better, as well as make the fans think twice before the urging Bradshaw to end Billy's life. It would also be wise to do from a business standpoint.
Guest redbaron51 Posted March 10, 2002 Report Posted March 10, 2002 Next year we will have "Create-An Entrance" and actually input our own music in. Soon will be create-a-move. All of you have great ideas. I'd go with online playability. I mean you have your own fed with other wrestlers that other people make. Then have shows and stuff in that fed. Every few months you compete other wrestlers in other feds, and see who has the top wrestler in each fed. There will be no actual wrestlers from the WWF or Japan or the indies. You can progress in storylines, everything even injuries. This maybe a bit far fetched, but it'll happen one day
Guest The Man in Blak Posted March 17, 2002 Report Posted March 17, 2002 Royal Rumble Online. People could jump in at will or they could rotate around like they do in WM2K/No Mercy - it'd be the wrestling equivalent of a free-for-all deathmatch.
