I refer you all to the Ask Leena thread for a prime example of why Texas Small Arms should *not* be allowed into The Establishment. She scoffed at the very idea of being established, citing the fact that she has a boyfriend and a job as reasons why she would never be on a message board long enough to get that sort of distinction. This seems to indicate a tremendous sense of superiority; a quality you're only allowed to have after we deem you established. It also implies that the Established Ones are social outcasts or something of that sort, which is quite obviously not the truth. We're just as hip and popular off the board as we are on it. In fact, we all have high-paying jobs and glamorous model girlfriends. I also once spent a weekend in Rome with Chelsea Clinton. So I'm doing pretty good. She also had the unmitigated gall to insult me for some reason, despite the fact that I was obviously using my trademark sense of humor in a typically brilliant fashion. That's my case.

Bob Barron, on the other hand, is a noted supporter of Metal Ed and a pretty good poster to boot. I don't know that he's Establishment material, however. I seem to recall a number of favorable comments he's made about Avril Lavigne. Do we want that kind of person in our midst, gentlemen?

I read that after I had posted my condemnation of you. I agree that the idea of you joining The Establisment is a joke and I want you to know that I harbor no ill will towards you. This is all part of a strenuous screening process, lest we have a repeat of the "bow to my dancing avatar x50" situation.

CWM, if you read the Ask Leena folder he is referring to you will see where we mistook each other and why he personally doesn't like the idea of me being in the establishment. I believe you to be a quality poster, sir. I really and truly do. But you've failed to sell me on why *I* should consider *you* to be a member of the posting elite; one of the all-time greats who could easily pull out a classic post or thread at the drop of a hat. I could rattle off any number of memorable things I've posted here off the top of my head, for instance, and I'm sure most of my fellow Establishment members could do the same. That's what I need from you and any future applicants. I don't want or need you to give me vauge references to things that you've said or done. I need you to say to me "I posted THIS and it was fucking awesome and everyone loved me." Until someone does that, I'd just as soon not have any of you join this elite posting clique.
