PROMO: Birth of the Wicked

Are any of you wondering where that nice guy Matthew Kivell has gotten to lately?

Well, in case you didn’t when the SJL can over to my hometown in the UK, I had a little try out with him.

And it seems he's still taking time off after it.

Can’t think why he should be. I only nearly broke him are and spiked him on his head.

Some people just can’t take the little things can they?

They always say, in these game, you start by lacing up your boots, and finish my hanging them up.

I always say, if you're gonna die, die with your boots on.

There's something in me now, like fingerprints on my heart, will I stand the test of time here?

I've come here looking for a new level, I've spent my wasted years now.

Now I have to lock and load, rock and roll.

Hey, I'm just fed up, tired, sick and twisted. Those fans back in my home town didn’t seem to care too much, but I'll make them care over here.

I won’t need a bottle or pills, kicking ass will give me the thrills if you pardon the bad rhyme.

I still don’t know whom I get first, but does it matter too much? I'll spike you once, spike you twice and spike you thrice. Don’t think there'll be much left after all that, apart from shameful defeat.

 

*Dace starts cracking his knuckles and his neck*

 

There's no time to cry over that though, just move. We can all outlast the fakes here right?

My first match, my little dark match, that was just the birth of the wicked.

Clean, painless and without blood. We all bleed, and I know I'll bleed for this fed, and it will bleed for me.

But what's all this for I'm sure you're all begging to know.

This is just a nice little hello to all you out there that I'll be taking on, then taking out, soon enough.

 

*Dace drains the last of a cup on the balcony before crushing it in his hand

and swatting it away over the edge into the night*

 

Listen real close, you can hear it coming, you can hear the secret that is coming.

 

*Dace flexes the fingers of his hand, staring down at it with intent*

 

Do you want to know what the secret is? The wind the blows through here, the change the comes. I'm sure some of you can guess what I know.

For those of you that don’t.

This is an open challenge for my first match with a real wrestler here.

Anyone that wants to can try. You want a shot, bring it on, I can take your best one. After that, there wont be anything left to say. Everyone will know.

Some, let them come, I'll see them run.

So, do you want to know my secret now?

I'll let you all in on my little secret... Something wicked comes this way!

That was pretty good, though the spacing is a bit weird. Nice work.

It's not bad, Dace. For a first effort, this is more than acceptable. A few things:

 

- Already ripping off songs like a pro. Excellent. Outcast would be VERY proud of you.

 

- The spacing was quite odd. The way you present something is usually fairly important, so I'd recommend spacing things out a little bit.

 

- The point of view was different than what we usually get, which makes it slightly more difficult to read, although not bad at all. Very rarely do we get a 1st person POV. Hopefully you'll continue to be innovative and experiment with promos and the like.

 

Overall, this is MUCH better than my first promo...

 

*shudders when he thinks about how damn bad he used to be*

 

...and I think that your first match should be even better, due to your insane knowledge of wrestling. Looking forward to seeing more from you, Dace.

I have to echo what everyone else said.

 

Im anxious to see how the character develops. I can't wait to see him in the ring and see how you deal with some of our other workers.
