Guest AM The Kid Report post Posted October 27, 2002 Hopefully someone can help me with this... I get the blue screen of death with "Exception OE" all the time. I forces me to unplug my computer. What is "Exception OE" and how can I prevent it from happening?

Guest I'm That Damn Zzzzz Report post Posted October 28, 2002 If you can access dos (not a command prompt in Windows,) by pressing F8 while the computer is booting (As soon as it says Starting Windows or a similar message), a menu should come up. Choose the Command Prompt option and type: del c:\windows\temp\*.* This should work if you have Windows 95 or 98. I don't know about ME and doubt it works on XP and 2000 or any NT. If that doesn't work try what I found by searching on google: "... This is what we did: boot computer do f8 like you are going in to safe mode, do not go into safe mode do step by step confirmation. Do yes for everything. Then reboot goto command prompt, type edit bootlog.txt. A blue screen comes up scroll down to the very bottom and it should show failed and on our computers it showed a .ttf file. I rename the file through dos and the computer booted fine."
