Guest TheArchiteck Posted October 28, 2002 Report Posted October 28, 2002 I was messing around mainly to pratice on the monitor screen type background. I'm still not very pleased with it, but I don't have a clue what to do with it at this moment. Any opinions are welcome. This other pics was something I whipped up in a couple of minutes. Mainly to pratice with merging. (ie-HHH on JJ's body)
Guest Flyboy Posted October 28, 2002 Report Posted October 28, 2002 Damn... I like the first one. A lot. It's looking pretty awesome.
Guest papacita Posted October 28, 2002 Report Posted October 28, 2002 The monitor one is nice as hell. BTW, how do you get that grid in your backgrounds?
Guest areacode212 Posted October 28, 2002 Report Posted October 28, 2002 Where I learned how to make a grid: http://phong.com/tutorials/grid/
Guest TheArchiteck Posted October 28, 2002 Report Posted October 28, 2002 ^ Nice way of em. I just create a new transparent file (4x4 pixels). Make a "L" shape inside of it with black 1px lines. Go to edit and click "define pattern". It'll ask you what 2 name it. Just call it grid. When you want to use it, just click the paint bucket and click "pattern" in the drop down window.
Guest TheArchiteck Posted October 31, 2002 Report Posted October 31, 2002 Hmmm....I dunno. I may not add anything else. Except change the text and bar behind the text.
Guest papacita Posted October 31, 2002 Report Posted October 31, 2002 Just a suggestion, but I think the "Scott Steiner" text would look better if it were red...just to set it apart from the background. Besides that, it's perfect. And thanks for the info on grids.
Guest areacode212 Posted November 1, 2002 Report Posted November 1, 2002 I think if you added scanlines to the monitor pictures, you would get something closer to the effect that you may have been looking for. (Yeah, scanlines are kind of overused, but they were pretty much invented for this exact kind of effect).
