Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Report post Posted October 28, 2002 But that's it. Anyway, yadda, yadda, yadda, The Angels Win. Congrats to The Anaheim Angels. We'll see if this is only a one year thing like The Diamondbacks. The Rally Monkey still sucks.

Guest B-X Report post Posted October 28, 2002 What the fuck was Eisner doing with that Scientologist fuck Travolta? Is he going to sell the team to Travolta? If so, fuck you Michael Eisner. And fuck Disney in general.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Report post Posted October 28, 2002 FU Bonds. Hahahahahahahahaha....
Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted October 28, 2002 It's official. Disney has bought baseball. We're gonna see some shit-ass move come Spring Training. I'm not watching ABC for a long time, or anything associated with Disney. I can't live without ESPN and it's 70 varities, so it is given an exemption. Guest DrTom Report post Posted October 28, 2002 As much as I liked seeing Anaheim win, I like Barry Bonds. Apparently, a lot of you would wish dismemberment upon him, but I like him. It will take a while before I see another player that good. I hope he gets another chance at a ring before he retires.
Guest EricMM Report post Posted October 28, 2002 I think it's VERY clear that monkeys confer supernatural powers on the teams they represent. The only animal more powerful is of course, the Terrapin. But besides the Terp, nothing is more powerful than ANY kind of monkey.

I agree completely, but it seems there are a lot of people who hate a guy they don't even remotely know because he's passionate about the game and because he doesn't care about the media, unlike all these "nice guys" that make sure their publicists tell the TV stations when they will be making charity appearances. Guest kkktookmybabyaway Report post Posted October 28, 2002 "Apparently, a lot of you would wish dismemberment upon him, but I like him." I don't wish dismemberment, I just wish he would retire with ringless hands. I'm sure he'll survive, somehow, with the $$$$ he has made, and earned, from the game... Guest Sassquatch Report post Posted October 28, 2002 As a Dodgers fan I took solace in seeing the Giants lose tonight. But a part of me did feel sorry for Bonds because this will most likely be the last time he makes it to a World Series. Otherwise, congratulations to the Anaheim Angels who did something tonight that the Clippers will most likely never do and that's have equal footing with their city rival. Go Angels! But he had a awesome playoff and the label playoff choke should be removed. Bonds not having a ring shouldn't take away from anything. Banks, Williams, Yaz, and I think Cobb never won. Guest Mad Dog Report post Posted October 28, 2002 I'm just sick of hearing about Bonds all the time and hearing everyone kiss his ass. Plus he crowds the plate and that makes me nuts.
Guest Brian Report post Posted October 28, 2002 Eight regulars play far over their head this year and win. The only person who wasn't playing over their head was Glaus. Dusty Baker fucking sucks. He can go over to the Mariners and ruin that team for all I care. It's about the only way the Angels are going to make it. Gene Autry's greatest hits in December. You all shall feel the repurcussions.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted October 28, 2002 Yeah, I wasn't very excited to see a Corportate Team like Anaheim win (just to show the decline of the great sport) but I do like the players...However, I know Bonds has now erased the Choke label...He batted over .400 and banged 5? Home Runs and drew tons o walks. However, Anaheim has one year hit written all over. Dusty goes to Chi Town.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted October 28, 2002 Hmm.. Troy Glaus, you just won the World Series MVP. Where are you going to celebrate? Troy: Across the street!!
Guest Brian Report post Posted October 28, 2002 4 runs, .571, like eight RBI's. Jeff Kent fucking choked. And of all people, JT Snow decided to come through. Next year they won't be nearly as good. There's no way they'll get eight starters putting up career years next year.
Guest bravesfan Report post Posted October 28, 2002 The Giant front office have to come to the realization that defense means SHIT, if you do not have a strong line-up to create runs from top to bottom. After the Bonds/Kent duo at the 3 and 4 spot, the bottom are comprised of AA-caliber players... --Tom Goodwin? Could he ever hit a ball that was not Colorado-influenced? --Tsuyoshi Shinjo? Don't make me laugh. He hacks at the ball like's he drunk. --David Bell? BAH GAWD, Bell blows. --J.T. Snow does absolutely nothing, besides when it counts. Hmmph. --Benito Santiago has 1-2 years left in him. Build around what they have (Bonds, Aurillia, Lofton, Snow, Sanders, Santiago), unload the rest of those hitters (including the FA Kent) and give the young'ns a shot. (Minor, Feliz, etc.)
Guest Mad Dog Report post Posted October 28, 2002 I'd ditch Lofton too. He's getting way old and he's a lazy bastard.
Guest Brian Report post Posted October 28, 2002 You forgot Aurillia, and Lofton's a decent leadoff guy. Bell's a decent enough hitter, at least a .290 guy for the last five years. Santiago did a really nice piece of hitting this year and he looked like he was ten years younger, but those expectations can't be kept up. Shinjo's a good outfielder and they should have been DH-ing Bonds the last two games and had Shinjo in center, Sanders in right, Lofton in left. Shinjo hit fine last year (2001) and supposedly showed power in Japan, but then again he isn't there to pinch hit. Which brings me to the question, why the fuck was Damien Minor not on the bench? He may not be better, but at least he's intimidating and has power.
Guest Mad Dog Report post Posted October 28, 2002 Maybe it's something about the Indians that made Lofton suck then.
Guest The Czech Republic Report post Posted November 2, 2002 I hope Disney sells the team before they make "Angels In The Outfield 2: Revenge of the Rally Monkey"
