Guest cheercomp Report post Posted October 28, 2002 I'm as excited as anyone that Batista is on the RAW roster, but damn what is taking Vince so long to re-debut the man? To the best of my knowldge he wasnt injured when he left Smackdown. Maybe he's seriously growing out his hair or trying to roid up to Crips level
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted October 28, 2002 They probably haven't figured out how to explain the jump to RAW. Also, they might want to wait a while in hopes that people will forget that he was DVon's lackey.
Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted October 28, 2002 I think it's just a matter of figuring out a direction for him. The rumored plan was to have Batista and Randy Orton join up with Ric Flair and Triple H to create a WWEized 4 Horsemen, but with Orton on the shelf until early next year, they are either slowly building to it, or have rethought the idea out all together. Personally, I think he'll debut as a rival to Kane in some form in the near future.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted October 28, 2002 I like the slow build...It really enhances the character even though all we've seen is Bodybuilding sequences.
Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted October 28, 2002 The Move is obvious... Batistia is banished to Raw because Brock is On Smackdown. and Batistia with his very presence might steal whatever little thunder Brock got at all. so only one overly big new Monster per show. Guest evilhomer Report post Posted October 28, 2002 The slow build is really useless because everyone's already seen him on Smackdown. I think they just don't know what direction to go in right now so they're running the promos until they can come up with something.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted October 28, 2002 I don't mind waiting...there's plenty of Hoss to go around. Although you gotta wonder what they're going to do with him...now that the only titles are World and Tag...they are obviously going to give him a monster push off the bat, but not at HHH of course. Guest RenegadeX28 Report post Posted October 28, 2002 Maybe they want Batista to feud with Steiner. That is my guess..... Evilhomer, most appropriate sig.....EVER!
Guest AfricanAmerican Report post Posted October 28, 2002 They probably haven't figured out how to explain the jump to RAW. Also, they might want to wait a while in hopes that people will forget that he was DVon's lackey. i think it was explained on one of his final smackdown appearances... batista and dvon were feuding when batista turned on batista (wasnt explained) steph told dvon that since batista was hired by dvon as a bodyguard (or something like that) that devon better get him back or else... that meant that batista wasnt property of smackdown, but instead dvon, meaning that he wasnt exactly exclusive to the show... he apparently left the show before vince "froze the rosters" which made him open to Raw
Guest oldschoolwrestling Report post Posted October 28, 2002 Maybe he'll be the player to be named later in the Big Show trade.
Guest Mad Dog Report post Posted October 28, 2002 Back in the day you used to get segments like these for several months before the guy actually debuted. But I'm left scratching my head as to why they're doing this for a guy who hasn't been gone that long.
Guest DJ Jeff Report post Posted October 28, 2002 I'm thinking that Batista was who the Big Show was traded for. If that's the case, either he'll debut on RAW tonight, or Bischoff will announce that the Big Show was traded for someone, but we won't find out until the Survivor Series. Guest converge241 Report post Posted October 28, 2002 they want him to be bigger before he gets out there , hes just not big enough already and he might be mistaken fior a cruserweight and not a true hoss
