Guest wwF1587 Posted October 28, 2002 Report Posted October 28, 2002 I figured that since tommarow is the day, I would start one of these. I cant believe its tommarow, all i can say is about damn time.
Guest Kingpk Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 It SHOULD have come out the day after my birthday, but I can forgive them if they took that extra week to go over it once more for bugs and crank out more copies to meet demand.
Guest chirs3 Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 Saturday can't come soon enough... How appropriate to be getting a game like Vice City on my 18th birthday... hee hee...
Guest The Amazing Rando Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 Midnight Madness to get my copy!!!
Guest Kingpk Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 I just want everyone to know that if you go to the Fall River Walmart around 6PM tomorrow, and there is only one copy left. Prepare for some bare knuckle boxing in sporting goods.
Guest Lil Naitch Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 Spoilers ahead!!!! Guess what guys, I got it tonight. It rocks, but man is it BIG! It's kind of hard to navigate around. Guess I need to memorize a whole new city. Motorcycles rock, you can go into buildings (including the police station, if you can find it), but apparently you need to buy health power-ups, at least at the hospital. Oh, and the main guy talks. Get the game. ps- post all cheat codes here.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 I gots mine also. But I haven't been able to pop it in yet.
Guest Flyboy Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 I will not be posting in this thread (anymore) until GTA IIII: Vice City comes out for PC. And, if it doesn't... I will never post in this thread... well, not again. Good day.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 Gamefaqs has a messageboard for the PC version up. So it looks like it'll come down. And...it's not GTA IV. Rockstar says they have a different idea for a true sequel to the GTA series.
Guest Flyboy Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 *points to the GTA: VC PS2 owners and laugh* You may get the game early, but do you get to ride to your own MP3s?! NO! Mwhaha!
Guest Kingpk Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 Well, there are over 100 songs in the game. And it's ALL 80'S BAYBEE~! *Feathers hair, snorts some coke and votes for Reagan*
Guest Flyboy Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 So? In GTA 3 where you have to help the guys rob the bank and be their getaway... just as they got out the car Eminem's "Criminal" came on. Midway through the cutscene, it gets to the part where Eminem steals the money for the bank teller and runs off. The guys hop into the car, and I'm marking the fuck out... it was SO awesome. Nothing will top that. Nada.
Guest Kingpk Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 Eh, I'll probably have the talk stations on most of the time anyway. The public radio station sounds interesting with the panel discussions.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 Flyboy: When was Eminem in GTA3? O_o;; And let's be good about marking our spoilers properly people. You can put them in the URL bar by making a link of them like this if you wish. Just a foreward headsup.
Guest bravesfan Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 I'm getting my GTA:VC in the mail on Thursday...just counting down the hours, people....
Guest GeneMean Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 I would much rather have GTA:VC on my PC but doesn't the PS2 version the only one available for an entire year? Oh well, PS2 version here I come.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 Flyboy: When was Eminem in GTA3? O_o;; And let's be good about marking our spoilers properly people. Guest GeneMean Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 No Spoilers but holy crap look at the voice talent used in your manual!
Guest BifEverchad Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 *points to the GTA: VC PS2 owners and laugh* You may get the game early, but do you get to ride to your own MP3s?! NO! Mwhaha! WHAT??! You can listen to your own mp3s on the PC version of GTA3? Can someone PLEASE explain? Bif
Guest chirs3 Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 In the PC Version, you can make the game play any MP3's you have over the various radio stations. Simple enough.
Guest Angle-plex Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 I thought that you could go anywhere at the start of the game.
Guest Flyboy Posted October 30, 2002 Report Posted October 30, 2002 *points to the GTA: VC PS2 owners and laugh* You may get the game early, but do you get to ride to your own MP3s?! NO! Mwhaha! WHAT??! You can listen to your own mp3s on the PC version of GTA3? Can someone PLEASE explain? Yeah... it's one of the reasons I bought the game. There's a folder you put them in, but I can't remember.
Guest Downhome Posted October 30, 2002 Report Posted October 30, 2002 I also have my copy, picked it up right after work. I had it on reserve, and lucky me, they were sold out of any other copies other than reserves. Best Buy a few though, and only $39.99 there also! Anyhow... ...if anyone has any questions about the game, I'll answer them if I can, or hell, let's just talk about it period. :D
Guest Flyboy Posted October 30, 2002 Report Posted October 30, 2002 I wouldn't suggest that, but if you DO talk make sure that "*SPOILERS*" can be seen. Thank you.
Guest chirs3 Posted October 30, 2002 Report Posted October 30, 2002 I think everyone wants to know, more than anything else, just how cool the golf carts are. Come on, on a scale from 1 to 10...
Guest Downhome Posted October 30, 2002 Report Posted October 30, 2002 I think everyone wants to know, more than anything else, just how cool the golf carts are. Come on, on a scale from 1 to 10... Honestly, I haven't even found one yet, but I'll let you know when I do! The bikes are cool as hell though, and they controll perfectly, and realisticly, it's "out of sight". The music in the games is simply fantastic. I get in a vehicle, and the FIRST song I heard was an old tune by WackoJacko, simply awesome. I love that you can leap from burning cars, then watch as it goes driving down the street to explode, once again, simply awesome.
Guest Downhome Posted October 30, 2002 Report Posted October 30, 2002 Also, having Ray Liotta in this game as the voice of the main character... ...smartest, move, period.
Guest Downhome Posted October 30, 2002 Report Posted October 30, 2002 One more thing real quick, I LOVE how you can change clothes, instead of having to wear the same thing all the time. So far I've been in normal Hawaian shirt and jeans, suit, and NOW I just put on the "hillbilly" outfit, complete with overalls and ballcap. :D
Guest Kingpk Posted October 30, 2002 Report Posted October 30, 2002 The music in the games is simply fantastic. I get in a vehicle, and the FIRST song I heard was an old tune by WackoJacko, simply awesome. Me too, it was Billie Jean. Ray Liotta and the guy who plays the lawyer are great.
Guest GeneMean Posted October 30, 2002 Report Posted October 30, 2002 Agreed on the bikes. They just flat out own, and you can still listen to the radio stations while riding. I have yet to find the golf carts myself, but I'm keeping my eyes peeled. The radio stations/music kick so much ass. Lazlow and his on-air antics are great. He still takes callers if you're curious. Ray Liotta providing a character for your avatar is the smartest move ever. He's top notch plus it just adds a much better immersion level to the game imho. Much better than controlling a generic "Max Payne Jr."
