Guest El Hijo del Homsar Report post Posted October 29, 2002 Title more or less sums it up. What albums always seem to end up getting played when you're on one form of moon mission or another, but never seem to get played when you're sober? For me, it's "White Blood Cells" by the White Stripes. I've heard it in its entirety at least a dozen times, but only in a party/session atmosphere, as I don't actually OWN a copy. Now just hearing a song from it puts me in a party mood, but also subtly reminds me of painful hangovers.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted October 29, 2002 Fine me an album I haven't heard, and there's an album I haven't heard while sober. Ah, the joys of being sober...

Guest Kinetic Report post Posted October 29, 2002 "I have it written in my will that I am to be buried with my porn collection. In a KISS casket, no less. I've been robbed of my dignity in life, so I intend on beating the afterlife to the punch." - Kinetic I said that? I actually very rarely post sober, so I barely remember making most of these quips. That's a good one, though. Thanks.
Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted October 29, 2002 I remember that little quote, actually. I haven't heard "Mechanical Animals" sober, nor DMX's second album. Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted October 29, 2002 I've never listened to Tribes of Neurot or Sunn when I was sober. Neither one of those are really meant to be listened to unless you're on something mind-expanding, though. TON especially, since it incorporates magnified and distorted insect noises. Sunn's just hypnotic.
Guest saturnmark4life Report post Posted October 29, 2002 well, I Get Wet has an almost intoxicating feel to it, as i end up banging my knees grinning like Till Lindemann when i'm listening to it. Case in point: now. A lot of ska punk i only like when drunk, and could't listen to when sober.

This is from, I think, back in the day at WDI, in a thread that was something along the lines of "what if you died and your friends/loved ones found your porno stash?"
