LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2002 Um no it was 97.....SummerSlam 97. And it was a chairshot not a superkick.
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted October 29, 2002 I smell an RVD title run. You're smelling false hope.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted October 29, 2002 The winner will be either Booker T or RVD. HBK and HHH will take care of each other...and they will NOT put the title on HBK. It seems to me that they want me to beleive that Booker is going to win. Great idea having him lose to Nowinski, and have RVD lose in the opening match. I bet RVD wins because they seem to be giving him ZERO buildup for it.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted October 29, 2002 You know... I would order Survivor Series for this alone if I knew RVD was going to win. The WWE has reduced me to straight markdom now. I really hope that RVD and Jericho don't have to take all the bumps while everyone else lumbers around. Unless one of them is going to win, that is.
Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2002 HHH will make HBK repay his job from Summerslam and win
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted October 29, 2002 I don't think that's going to happen either. This sets it up so HHH can drop the title without really losing...so that's what'll happen. HBK won't win, HHH won't win, Kane won't win, and Jericho sure as hell won't win. Like I said...Booker or RVD.

Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted October 29, 2002 I'll bet you your continued existence on this board against mine that HHH will not win that match. GUARANTEE IT
Guest cabbageboy Report post Posted October 29, 2002 First off HHH has to job here because it would be seriously revolting if he went over 5 other guys in this match. I realize he is going to feud with Shawn for a while now and that is a feud that doesn't require a title....it sells itself. Shawn is not a viable option as champion since he's not even a full time wrestler anymore, so I don't think he will win it. Look for HHH to eliminate him via some sleazy means. Kane got his revenge tonight on HHH in the casket match, ain't no way in hell he's winning at the PPV. Even said tonight he didn't care about the title. HHH gets the job back at the PPV. Count him out. Booker and Jericho have their own little mini issue so I don't think either will win the title. I sense they'll eliminate each other. That leaves RVD. It's in NYC meaning he'll be seriously over. He's been ready for some time now. He still has an issue with HHH. He isn't bogged down in a retarded feud. He's my pick to win it. Sorta like Jericho at Vengeance last year, RVD is not being hyped to win it and yet if you think on it it makes total sense. I think RVD's run would be better than Jericho's ill fated run, simply because unlike Jericho RVD is actually over. Tonight they did a great job of one thing: They made me want to get Survivor Series. I was dreading this PPV when I thought it would be Show/Lesnar and HHH/Kane II. Now I'm outright anticipating it. ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2002 I severely hope that this means HHH loses the Big Gold Belt. Put it on RVD. I want to see if it looks as neat as when Angle had it.
Guest Banky Report post Posted October 29, 2002 RVD should win it, because he is the only one drawing anything that resembles heat on the RAW side. The past few weeks, the crowds have just been sedate. RVD is the only one who still gets them popping.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted October 29, 2002 HHH won't win because he has a feud coming up with HBK that won't be over the title. Kane is not even anything resembling an option at this point. Jericho...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...they only put him in because they needed someone to do the work. Booker could always win and feud with Jericho over it. RVD has nothing going on, which does make him a viable option.
Guest jester Report post Posted October 29, 2002 My cynical thoughts on the possibilities: 1. HHH goes over the entire roster in one fell swoop. 2. They found a way to get the belt off HHH without having him job cleanly. Remember, only HBK is allowed to beat HHH...for a few minutes anyway. 3. RVD and HBK going at each other? Doubt it. Remember, RVD has a reputation for hurting his opponents. They will probably keep these two apart. 4. If they miraculously decide to give RVD the title, there will be no build so they can convince themselves he hasn't got enough heat to be champ, and take it off him. Guest thebigjig Report post Posted October 29, 2002 What about Booker T winning it and feuding with a debuting Scott Steiner? The backstory is already there with the WCW stuff they did including the final championship match on Nitro It would give Scott something to do before his rumored match against HHH at Mania, assuming that happens
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted October 29, 2002 Booker feuding with Scott Steiner over the title is what I like to call... The exact opposite of what I want to see.
Guest creativename Report post Posted October 29, 2002 4. If they miraculously decide to give RVD the title, there will be no build so they can convince themselves he hasn't got enough heat to be champ, and take it off him. Wow. You, my friend, know the way they think.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted October 29, 2002 if RVD wins the 6 man gimmick match then I would like to see RVD bring back the IC title as the major Raw Championship. Bawh Gawd get rid of the fake Gold Belt before Steiner in his roid rage hurts somebody.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted October 29, 2002 Besides all that... RVD has been main eventing house shows. I take that as a test to see if fans will walk out when he's facing a shitty opponent (Test) They didn't. So I call RVD a lock. Fuck...the WWE found a way to make me order a ppv with Brock vs. Big Show for the title.
Guest cabbageboy Report post Posted October 29, 2002 Booker and Steiner is no doubt going to happen since there is too much backstory to ignore....that said it should not be over the title. I've seen them fight for the WCW title, I don't need to see it again. NO ONE tonight was drawing any sort of heat whatsoever aside from RVD. Maybe it was due to being sort of at home (RVD's from Battle Creek, RAWwas in Detroit), but he is consistently the only guy who has heat when he wrestles. Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted October 29, 2002 Don't worry guys. Despite the fact that it is a fake title (or perhaps because of it)...I am confident that RVD wins this match. He'll beat Jericho for it...but he will win this match. RVD will be the winter transitional champion for 2002!
Guest Paranoid Report post Posted October 29, 2002 I really hope that Kane gets the belt. Hbk would be great, but Kane is my second choice. Now I really think that RVD or Trips will win it. Out of those two I chose RVD. Alright, now to the elimination chamber. It will consists of a mixture of different match types like Royal Rumble, Survivor Series, WCW War Games and it will be for the WWE World Title. I understand the Rumble part, and the WarGames part, but the Survivor Series. It was originally teams. How can they do this with teams? What aspect os SS is the match gonna have? Guest Nater Report post Posted October 29, 2002 Despite HHH having 5:1 odds against him, those are his odds of winning. WWE Math 101.
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2002 Scary thought... Last time he was a champion in something like this, he won. Remember the 6-Pac challenge. He's 1 and 1 in 6 person matches (he lost the on in the Cell with Angle as champion)
Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted October 29, 2002 RVD will be the winter transitional champion for 2002! I forgot we were at that time of the year already. Do you think that the transition will be HHH-RVD-HHH or will someone else hold the title at WM so HHH can have his WM match with HBK?

I understand the Rumble part, and the WarGames part, but the Survivor Series. It was originally teams. How can they do this with teams? What aspect os SS is the match gonna have? I would guess Wargames means it's in a cage, Royal Rumble means timed entrances, and Survivor Series means it's elimination rules.

He's 1 and 1 in 6 person matches (he lost the on in the Cell with Angle as champion) HHH wasn't champion going into Unforgiven 99. Well, he was the last person to be champion that was in the match, so that's close enough to me. Between HHH's first reign and this match...we had McMahon. That I don't even really count. Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted October 29, 2002 If HHH loses the title it's right here. He can lose the belt and not even get pinned. They'll probably ending up having HHH and Micheals get counted out to continue their feud.
Guest Army Eye Report post Posted October 29, 2002 Bah. It's just a six-pack cage match basically. This still won't be nearly as cool as WarGames. The team aspect is the whole thing. That's how you get the really brutal beatdowns. And I'm guessing there will be pinfalls too. On the other hand, there really aren't any good 'factions', face or heel, to put in a WarGames match. So I dunno. Maybe that's why they're doing what they're doing, but they've got a great match concept , WarGames, which they OWN now. They don't have to do a pale imitation of it.
