Guest NoCalMike Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 I just hope this isn't another version of the last ladder match where Kane just dies for the MEAT of the match, only to suddenly show up at the end to deliver the chokeslam for the win. This match could be good, but if there is a lot of stuff going on at once, I am afraid the focus will mostly be on Triple H/HBK....and not on who the new champ is.
Guest NoCalMike Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 Oh and notice how the WWE has cleverly, not mentioned once during the whole HBK/Triple H feud, that HBK beat him on the PPV. All we have been hearing is about the stupid sledgehammer shots. Yet not once has someone just said to Triple H, "ummm, yah but who won the match?"
Guest Aero Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 Just like mentioned before, I'm guessing it's Rumble timed entrances, Survivor Series elimination rules, and War Games Cage. If they want to make the whole order believable, then it should go something like this... 1. Booker T 2. Chris Jericho 3. Triple H (triggering the heel beatdown) 4. Kane (making the save) 5. Shawn Michaels 6. RVD I can see Booker, RVD, or Jericho winning, just not HHH, Kane, or HBK. With the first three, Jericho has the least chance, mainly due to being a Tag Team Champion with Christian. For me, it's a toss-up between Booker & RVD. Since RVD is on the promotional poster, I'll go with him to win. For the rest of the card, I'm just hoping they throw in normal Survivor Series matches.
Guest The Electrifyer Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 I doubt Booker will win. The only possible candidates I see for winning the title are Kane, HHH and RVD. I really hope for RVD.
Guest saturnmark4life Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 two rings would be nice, it's not like they're gonna use all those front row seats...
Guest Brian Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 I think they're heading to Booker if they RVD wins, and vice versa the other way. But still, HHH will probably win. He has four months to drop the title before the big pay-off match.
Guest notJames Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 Did you notice when Bischoff mentioned War Games... ... the crowd went dead silent? Kinda proves just how impotent the wCw brand really was. And really, what part of War Games could they be using for this gimmick match? Timed entrances? Royal Rumble has that. Elimination? Both RR and Survivor Series have that. A cage? Saw it last month. Just like most of last night's show, all this did was cater to the few smarks who are still watching. Kinda like when HHH acknowledged how X number of people are boycotting RAW. Can you smell the desparation in the air? Speaking of desparate, it seems that Lesnar/Show, a match hardly anyone would want to see, was booked to make the RAW main event look that much better. Inferiority complex, anyone? That said, look for Booker T to win, then get screwed out of it the next night by Bischoff, who T has been making a fool of time and time again. And fuck Steiner. I hope he roids out and kills someone on his last indy dates and gets his ass thrown in jail.
Guest edotherocket Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 I'm holding out on a prediction until I see whether it is elimination or not. The problem with single elimination is that someone will have to pin HHH and the only guy who would is HBK but he already went him at Summerslam. My other suggestion is that HHH could get pinned after getting Sweet Chin Music and then Axe Kicked and then Lionsaulted and then Chockslammed and then Five Star Frog Splashed but that would mean he would be eliminated first. If they do nothing with RVD or Booker in the next couple of weeks, then it increases the likelyhood that they will win (WWE Logic 101).
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 Plus, WWF/E has a habbit of putting the Title on someone new the last 4 months of the year. Last 4 years anyway. 98- Rock 99- Triple H 2000- Kurt Angle 2001- Chris Jericho
ChrisMWaters Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 Plus, WWF/E has a habbit of putting the Title on someone new the last 4 months of the year. Last 4 years anyway. 98- Rock 99- Triple H 2000- Kurt Angle 2001- Chris Jericho Adding to that... 97: Michaels 96: Sid 95: Hart 94: Backlund and Diesel
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 I meant guys who never held the WWF/E Title before. So Sid & Deisel can stay on your list.
ChrisMWaters Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 I meant guys who never held the WWF/E Title before. So Sid & Deisel can stay on your list. Why'd you leave HHH for 99 then? He won the title the first time the day after Summerslam 99.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 Sorry, I should have Typed "Plus, WWF/E has a habit of putting the Title on someone new the last 4 months (And a Few Days) at the end of the year.
Guest big Dante Cruz Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 I would die laughing if whenever Triple H got in the ring and everybody turned on him, piled on top of him for a 5 man pin to elminate him...
Guest Slapnuts00 Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 I had a thought. Could this be like the Bunkhouse Stampede Math that S. Keith posted recently? Think about it, wargames means it's a cage, Survivor means eliminations, and Royal Rumble, over the top. I hope not because that match sounded really bad.
cawthon777 Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 The Bunkhouse Stampede was HORRIBLE. Imagine trying to eliminate someone by brawling to the top of the cage and then trying to knock them off ... or trying to kick him out the door. The only Wargames stips I can come up with would have it be the double ring or keep the submission stipulation (which seems unlikely since most of the guys in this match don't do submission style). My prediction as to the last three - HBK, Triple H, and RVD. Triple H beats HBK as payback, then has a good 5-6 minute confrontation with RVD in which he eventually gets pinned - clean or otherwise. It's not uncommon to put the big gold (or any gold for that matter) on people who aren't going anywhere. Remember Bret Hart in 92? He was jobbing to Flair in England and the "monster heel" Razor Ramon before finally beating Flair in Saskatoon, which was a huge upset at the time.

I think the reason that they put the title on Bret Hart back in late 92 was because Ric Flair was going to leave WWF to go back to WCW. I think that's it anyway.
Guest Choken One Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 The concept it still murky as for now...but at least it will allow HHH to drop the title without outright jobbing... We can pretty much narrow it down to two guys...Booker and RVD. Kane isn't over... HHH needs to drop the title... Jericho isn't the guy HBK isn't going to accept the title... Scott Steiner plays a critical role here...If he debuts on Raw...Booker being the champion would be a logical and smart booking move...You could have Booker win the title...Steiner debuts between Series and Armageddon. Booker fights Jericho for the title...Steiner attacks and goes off with a "That's my title" spiel to set up Rumble. However, RVD is always over in NYC...So he should win the title...but who does he face? HHH? Unlikely HHH would go back for the title so soon...Jericho is once again looking a jobber role regardless. However...here is how I see the eliminations 1. Kane Elminated by HHH 2. HHH eliminated by HBK 3. HBK eliminated by HHH's attack...Forfiets. 4. Booker Eliminated by Jericho 5. Jericho eliminated by RVD Why did I say Jericho is last eliminated? Why would H3 want to lose the title outright...Just have his whipping boy do the final job that people will remember.
Guest cabbageboy Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 Eh I don't like that scenario much..HHH would still be doing the jobbing there at some point, but it wouldn't mean anything. Having him job and be gone 2nd man in makes him look horrible and I doubt that would happen. He'd definitely be the final man eliminated. I'd do it like this: 1. Kane via HHH pedigree, get the dead weight out of it first. 2. Booker via Jericho heel tactics, triggers a feud. 3. Jericho via RVD frog splash. 4. Michaels via HHH sledgehammer shot. 5. HHH via RVD after Michaels makes a save on an attempted Flair run in. RVD wins it.
ChrisMWaters Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 I'd like Kane, Booker, Jericho, or RVD to go over. HHH annoys me. Michaels can't compete regularly, I don't believe. Now...Kane, if given the chance, could perform well enough. And his last "top belt" reign only lasted one day. Booker T has championship experience...mostly. He was a 5 Time WCW Champion, so he could carry that belt. Jericho never got a real chance to show off his stuff as Undisputed Champion, so if he won the world title, it'd be another good test. And RVD, as the most over guy, would be the fan favorite. PLus, even in ECW, everyone was hoping for him to win the World TItle.

He'll then be constantly buried, and his defenses will be in the midcard. Maybe he'll have to scoop up dog crap or something like it too. Oh, and RVD will be shunted back down to the midcard, of course. HHH may lose, but he's going to be coming out smelling like a rose, remain the focus of Raw, and get his title back anyway.
ChrisMWaters Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 Everyone, maybe if we pray hard enough, HHH will get seriously injured in the match and will not be able to compete for a long time. Then, maybe Raw can start to...oh, what's that word...oh yeah...IMPROVE!
Guest Brian Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 With Gerwitz still booking and Steph and Vince leading the way?
ChrisMWaters Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 With Gerwitz still booking and Steph and Vince leading the way? Hey, no HHH on the show is an improvement in my book!
Guest Choken One Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 Yeah but who Steph entrust her Intelligent and creative storylines to? RVD? Yeah Right...RVD can't pull off the planned Beastality angle with Lucy the dog they had planned with Jericho...
cawthon777 Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 Hopefully this will be the highlight of Survivor Series and the match itself... Triple H: "Ow, my quad!!!!" *falls down, dies* Or, if the WWE took place in Fantasy Land ... I could see Vince McMahon being Russo and telling Triple H that he can take his belt, go home, stay there, and we would be promised that that "piece of shit" would never again be on WWE TV (ala Russo/Hogan). But again, that's only in Fantasy Land.
Guest Aero Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 Here's how I would play the entire match out... # 1 is Booker T, and # 2 is Chris Jericho. They fight for however long it is until the next person comes out to rekindle their feud. # 3 is Triple H to trigger the double-heel beatdown. Booker fights off both HHH & Y2J for however long, again. # 4 is Kane to clean house and make the save. After a while, # 5 is Shawn Michaels, and of course, he goes right after HHH. Finally, RVD is # 6, coming in last. The first guy eliminated is Kane, when HHH & Y2J double-team him in whatever way. Next is Booker T, as Y2J eliminates him. Y2J goes next, when RVD eliminates him. By this time, HBK is on a hot streak, just like he was near the end of his match at Summerslam. He's busting out all the moves, as JR starts hyping a "Cinderella Story" win here for him. HHH eventually takes over and eliminates him, whether it be another sledgehammer attack, or just a straight out Pedigree. That leaves RVD & HHH. They fight for another 10 or so minutes. Finally, RVD goes over to win the title. Now, I was thinking that RVD could just flat out go over cleanly, but who am I kidding? Or, Scott Steiner could debut and cost HHH the match, but I think he would be better suited for a heel when he comes in, so nevermind that... Here's the ending IMO. HHH has RVD all but beaten, when suddenly, Brock Lesnar, fresh off of a win over Big Show, comes down and costs HHH the match instead. RVD hits the Five-Star Frogsplash to win. I figure this will trigger the invasion-esque RAW vs. Smackdown feud, as Stephanie will somehow find a loophole and try and bring RVD and the title over to Smackdown. Hey, it could work...
Guest Choken One Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 and take away the only star RAW has?
Guest cabbageboy Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 That whole Lesnar scenario is goofy, it won't happen. Much like the Rumble, he who comes out last shall not win. I think they'll book it where HHH comes out last, giving him the illusion of an advantage. Then he ends up jobbing.
