HHH to blame for no editing of moves in No Mercy?

It's just the beer in me typing so bear with me here

No Mercy is firmly established as one of the best wrestling games ever. Aside from the technical aspects of the game such as slow downs, graphics and overlapping, the primary complaint that anyone will tell you about the game is that you can't edit the moves of the non-caw wrestlers. I actually read the manual once and it does say that you can change the moveset of the wrestlers. I was so pissed when I couldn't that I wrote THQ about it and I was told that it was a last minute decision to take that option out. This is just so annoying because of the lame moves that so many wrestlers have, the fact that there's only 4 moves per back grapple when 8 different moves are possible, and you have to leave Bossman, Bull Buchanan, Godfather etc. in the game rather than changing their moves to match someone you want.

So I was reading the board and all the posts about how HHH will not look weak and won't put anyone over, and I was playing championship mode where HHH was the champ to my challenger. God damn that son bitch is tough to beat sometimes. You kick his ass for five minutes, then he breaks your grapple - suplex, taunt, stall piledriver, taunt, pedigree, 1-2-3. It got me thinking that it was HHH who came in and bitched enough to get them to remove the editing option because he didn't want his moves to be changed so that he became weak in the game.

Ok, thank you for my award for worst post of the week, I am truly honoured. Just the combination of a few beers, a few threads, and a lot of anger at another bullshit HHH finish.

Just keep beating him out of the ring with some kind of weapon throw and taunt endlessly when he's on the outside. It worked for me.

Sprinboard dropkick from the apron.

Never pick him up when he's face down. You'll get an auto back grapple counter.

I also heard he was responsible for the lag during 4 player matches.

HHH: "That's too fast-uh...make them-uh move like me-uh."

I guess he's also responsible for the overlapping just so he can get that much more screen time.

I don't have too much trouble beating him, it's just the occasional match where he pulls an undeserved victory out like that.

I think we can blame HHH for the glitch too.

HHH and Undertaker are the worst in that game.

Mankind/MickFoley/Cactus Jack is a real pain in the ass in my game.

Undertaker, HHH and Austin are the hardest by far, particularly 'Taker.

I personally blame HHH for the lack of masks in the game. Oh sure, you can have two Kane masks, a Mankind mask and some bogus facepaint shit but no Lyger or Sasuke mask.......

I always found the chapter where you're playing a Foley character and you have to save Rock from a Handicap Match Involving the NAO as the hardest one on there.

I hate the Handicap match with HHH and X Pac they take forever to beat.

Just copy the wrestler you want and edit it.

That just wastes CAW space though. It is, however, annoying that Guerrero hardly has any submission moves in the game like he does in real life and Angle doesn't have the Anglelock(not that the move's all that great, but it would have made it seem like another part of his actual moveset he uses) as his face down lower body special submission.

Yeah, but let's not forget that the game came out in the fall of 2000. Angle wasn't using the submission then.

I know, but didn't Angle use the move on Crash Holly one time that year? It seemed to be a temporary finisher back then though, and Crash just sucks, so I guess that match wasn't even worth mentioning anyway.
