Guest brokentusk16 Report post Posted October 29, 2002 I want to buy it on VHS or DVD, but I keep hearing mixed reviews about it. Could someone give a quick review? Here are the matches: 1. Jerry Lynn vs. Tajiri 2. Nova vs. Rod Prince 3. Super Crazy vs. El Mosco 4. Taka Michinoku vs. Papi Chulo 5. Rob Van Dam vs. Too Cold Scorpio (TV title) 6. Taz vs. Chris Candido (ECW title) 7. Shane Douglas vs. Justin Credible 8. The Dudley Boyz and Mustafa vs. Balls Mahoney, AxlRotten, and New Jack (Wargames Cage Match)
Guest BAR Report post Posted October 29, 2002 i can't give you a review but there's plenty of other ECW video's/DVD's to get, if you live in the UK, that look a lot better than CS99. Just pop down to your local HMV, I recommend Hardcore Heaven 2000, my favourite ECW PPV.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted October 29, 2002 I must have said this 100 times already, but Douglas vs Credible is a classic. I don't use fancy star ratings or anything, but it's defintly Credible's best match and one of ECW's best matches ever. Although there's all the Credible hate on this board, so many won't give his stuff a fair shake. The main event's not great, about what you'd expect...and you can't go wrong with Yoshi/Lynn or RVD/2 Cold
Guest Mad Dog Report post Posted October 29, 2002 The shows kinda eh.... not bad but not this best show ever.
Guest Annoyed Grunt Report post Posted October 29, 2002 It's worth getting on VHS, but the DVD is probably a waste. Lynn/Tajiri was good and I was pleasntly surprised by Douglas/Credible. Taz/Candido was all right, but I've seen them wrestle far too many times and it's always very similar. Nova&Chetti/Price&Krush was just bad, as was the main event (but at least it was watchable). Everything else was mediocre.
Guest Jonathan Barber Report post Posted November 6, 2002 I just got it. If I had to say recommended or not recommended, I'd say not recommended. This is one of the few ECW VHS's on Pioneer that you should skip. Tajiri/Lynn was pretty good, and same with the lucha matches, but other than that, there's not much. Credible/Douglas wasn't anything too special, either.
