The Cruiserweights to RAW?

Recommended Posts

Guest Downhome

As it stands right now, RAW is almost 100% suck fest INC., period. They are almost totaly "entertainment", while the true wrestling is over on the Smackdown show. Well...

...would it not make sense if The Big Show was traded to RAW, for the entire Cruiserweight division? Eric himself said basicly it was a group of guys, so this could be it, and I think it is if you ask me. Not only would that at least put more workers on RAW who can do just that, work, but it would be one of those subtle things that WWE thinks is cute. You know, trade the biggest guy on RAW for the smallest guys from Smackdown.

Of course, this will mean HHH interference in Cruiserweight matches, and maybe (if we're "lucky"), some more Scott Steiner beating four of them at a time, yay!!!

Yes, that was sarcasm, in case you are mildly retarded. If they come to RAW, they better, BETTER, keep them from the "heavies", or so help me...

Sincerely,

...Downhome...

If they do this then that will deplete about 40% of SD's airtime...which means more BIG SHOW! YES!

The problem with that is, two of the workers who, right now, are part of the SD main event scene are cruisers (Chavo and Rey). Do they go, too, or do they stay on SD to tag with Eddy and Edge, respectively. Right now, Knoble and Tajiri are the only cruisers who are in the division, with others, like Kidman, Funaki, and Crash mixing and matching with the bigger guys each week (usually on Velocity).

Good idea in theory, but I doubt it would ever work. I say, all the women should go to Raw, since that's where 'their' belt is, while the cruisers' belt is on SD, where all the cruisers should be.

Yeah...that would make them look great.

Trade the entire division for some fat, un-talented slob.

Plus I'm sure Gerwertz would do a lovely job of booking them. Yes...I can see it all now...the "Cruiserweight division" being nothing more than a single 2 minute match a week on Heat.

By the end of the year, Stacy Kiebler would probably hold the title.

Well, you know, I like the cruisers, but if a move like that turned Smackdown into almost purely the Benoit-Angle-Eddy-Rey-and-Edge show, I'd be plenty happy. Leave Chavo so the Guerreros can keep tagging.

Unfortunately they're not doing much anything with the cruisers wherever they go. Oi oi.

Hey, I didn't say that I wanted this to happen, by any means. Just, well, I'm trying to decipher WWE thinking, so sue me. :D :D :D

Big Show traded for more than one person, all of which likely better?

I hope it's Kish or something, so I don't have to put up with him and Show on SD.

And maybe Albert will be making the impact that JR's been wanting for a long time.

it would make sense as Vince always likes to screw up a good thing. At least now Hurricane can wrestle somebody.

but if the Cruiserweights come over than that would mean no Scott Steiner.

so will Raw be the Cruiserweight show and Smackdown be the Hoss show?

maybe Vince is threating to punish JR by bringing in Cruiserweights and getting rid of the Hoss~

Fuck that. If they brought in some new guys and used Helms, but Heyman's done a great job with Knoble's character and when Rey and Chavo are back in the division it'll be on fire.

They could call it a pound-for-pound trade.

I first thought of this idea myself as well after all the talk of Raw becoming WCW Nitro. A Nitro without the Cruisers just doesn't seem right.

With that said, I don't think it would happen with the Big Show trade as it would create an imbalance between the title situations on either show. Raw has the Women's division and SD has the Cruisers. I don't think a trade would be possible in any way unless it was with each other.

On a side note, what do you call multiple Hoss? Is it Hoss's, Hossi, or what? A gaggle of Hoss, a herd, I'm lost here...

That actually makes sense. Bischoff trades Show for all the Smackdown women (except for Nidia who is needed for Noble). He can't trade it for the CW division, since Smackdown now wouldn't have enough guys to fill their shows. Half the roster are CWs.

Problem is, save for Nidia, SD has all the "fluff" women, while the women WRESTLERS are on Raw.

Which makes NO sense, since after Bisch's "people don't care about women's wrestling" spiel you'd expect the reverse. The fluffers belong on Raw with all the sports entertainment shit.

Because there's no fucking way Torrie, Dawn, or Stacy should be winning a women's title. If they're in a women's match they should winning over a wrestler. Winning against a fellow fluffer? Yeah, that makes sense--in the Tn'A matches that belong on Raw anyway.

Hosses.

FWIW, I was long ago going to reigster WWEhosses.com and put a funny web page there, but never had the time or the money.

Someone can steal this idea, as long as they put a funny page there and not just squat the domain.

Where did "Hoss" spring up from? I dont exactly pay too much attention to JR when he starts going on about Young Men Like Randy Orton, A 3rd Generation Superstar Thats Up And Coming...

I realize that, right now, those women shouldn't be allowed to win the belt (really, there's only 4 women in WWE right now who should [Trish, Molly, Jazz, and Victoria, but you could throw in Ivory or Jacqueline if you wanted]), but people were saying that about Trish last year, and look how far she's come. Torrie and Dawn, in my opinion, at least, had a very good match (by their standards) at No Mercy, and, if you stick one of them out there with a Molly, a Trish, or a Jazz, you have a relatively decent match (provided they both work hard). Throw in the occasional bra & panties match between two of the non-workers, and you can have a half-decent women's division. By no means competition to SmackDown's crusierweight division, but a competitive division nontheless.

Half decent doesn't begin to describe the helacious "wrestling" those two attempt to do. They can do their thing, take a couple of bumps, thrash around, and that is it. Trish was never as bad as Dawn Marie, for example. Torrie, Dawn Marie, Stach, and Terri (I added her for good measure) should not allowed to ever be near the women's title if the company wants to maintain a modicum of credibility with that belt.

I would agree with someone else's sentiment that the "fluff" women should be on RAW with the rest of the TnA shit while the workers should be on Smackdown.

I think they finally joined Stacy and Test because they realized she couldn't wrestle out of a wet paper bag. Did you see that pathetic excuse for a Golotta she gave Goldust last Monday? How hard is it to just ram your forearm into the guy's perineum? I'm sure he wears a cup. Sometimes too much contact is better than no contact at all.

I don't think it's the cruisers...at least that wasn't the plan initially. Remember, they were all hellbent on "entertainment" and of course, wrestling isn't entertainment enough for Raw.

Given that the whole extremely well thought out and brilliantly executed necrophilia angle surprisingly failed to excite the crowds or bring in mainstream coverage, their plans might have changed. But I doubt it.

"Fluffers" is a brilliant term for non-wrestling women like Stacy. And yes, the ones who can work at least somewhat or can be carried should be on Smackdown. The ones who can bend over and wiggle should be on Raw.

Thanks for the compliment, and yeah...I've been thinking that a while now but just now said it. Although, I think Stacey is being used perfectly. She probably shouldn't lose ALL the time to the other fluffers, but you KNOW when she faces a wrestler she'll lose, as she should. She's the resident jobber of the women's division.

Although I fear she might get some fluke wins and a women's title after the big boob--er, boot from Test.

However, maybe Bisch just traded for a couple of glorifed jobbers they'll briefly push. Just as long as it's not anyone I'd care about...

Hoss is originally the name of a character on the TV western "Bonanza."

JR seems to have adopted Hoss as a word for a big man. Brock, Big Show, Undertaker, Kane, and Bradshaw are all hosses. Bubba Dudley isn't a hoss, but he's Bubba Tough, so he's an honorary Hoss.

You get the picture.

Yeah Andrew but they should stop polluting women's matches with fluffers entirely.

Not having Vicky in the match Monday sucked....

It would make sense if they wanted to continue emulating Nitro (when WCW had all the cruiserweights and WWF either didnt have any or misused the 2 or 3 they had)

Oh, ideally, that's what they should do, but at least Stacey isn't the women's champion right now because she happens to be pretty damn popular.

After all, at one time they had Lawler's pint-sized fucktoy hold the title, who did nothing significant in her reign other than go topless on PPV.

It just saddens me that the best wrestling on Raw is arguably from Vicky/Trish.

Yeah...like it or not Chris, Molly's getting outclassed by Vicky.

Now, if she turns face again and goes back to her old wrestling style (as a face), then we'd have something there...imagine a Vicky/Molly feud then?

NOO! It can't be!

Molly is just being mis-used!

Let her wrestle for real and she'll take Vicky to school!
