Rock vs. Hogan: What would YOU rather see?

Since were getting Hogan vs. Rock no matter what I was curious what you would rather see, not what you think will happen.  Would you prefer a regular 1 on 1 match with no interference or an overbooked clusterfuck with all types of run ins?

 

I go with the straight match because I hate clusterfucks and I want to see what Rock can get out of a Hulk Hogan who is ten years past his prime.

I'd like it kept to 10 minutes at most and with as little interference as possible, but we will probably get 20 minutes and then run ins a go go.

A run-in will happen. I want a straight match, then left the run-ins happen. It needs to be booked carefully.

I'd like a 10-15 minute match.  A run-in is a given, but just a single one at the end would be good.  I'd rather not have 3-4 different run-ins like they do sometimes

It'll go 15-20 minutes and there will probably be some type of interference. I'd be surprised if the ending came clean, but I could possibly see Rock beating Hogan clean.

Sometimes overbooked brawls are a good thing. It gets the fans excited. ECW did it all the time, the matches were crap, but the fans ate it up like ice cream. I don't think that it should happen for a WM main event however. Maybe the Hall/Austin match would be better if it was a bit over booked.

The Hall/Austin match will probably have a lot more run-ins because Nash will most likely be accompanying Hall out.

 

As for the Hoagn/Rock match, I'd just like to see a straight up match between the two. I think Hogan could produce a good match at Wrestlemania. An interference at the end wouldn't be too bad, but for somereason, I think Rock will win.

persoanlly i woulda rathered Austin VS Hogan......it was austin that they made a big shit out of being bigger than hogan.....but that's not what we got

 

i hate rock....and i know hogan will not job at WM...so i say we get some sorta interference....maybe a new nWo member...or a return of some superstar....

I completely agree with Army Eye. I want a 10-20 minute clean match (obviously with Hogan using the usual heel tactics like the back rake, eye gouge, or low blow) with one single run in at the end. Actually instead of a run in I would prefer Hogan winning with a chair shot followed by a leg drop. Weird, when I think about it, if done write, this match could be pretty damn good.

We're going to get an overbooked brawl.  I wouldn't surprised if all of the "triple main event" have interference in it.  (Rock/Hogan; Austin/Hall; HHH/Jericho)

That's from the wwf website. If its not rigged I think the wwf has done a good job with fans split amongst who the winner is. Thinking about it the match might be harder to predict than I first thought. Who should go over?

 

As for the match itself it should have about 10 minutes of actual fighting, five minutes of se, and then finish.

I can see Triple-H vs. Chris Jericho taking place before the Rock match with "The Game" winning the title.  Then during the Rock vs. Hogan match, he reveals his alliance to the New World Order as he runs in and helps Hogan win to really kick the NWO storyline into gear.

The NWO is going to interfere. I normally don't like interference but it wouldn't make sense for them not to. And that means Hogan will win. If he doesn't, Hogan will end up a pussy in the mark's eyes and no one will take the NWO that seriously anymore. The leader got beaten down by the Rock who is only the 2nd biggest start. Hogan will win to set up the biggest dream match months down the line...Hogan and Austin. Plus wtihout the overbooknig...the match would look shitty.

The Over booked mess is what's going to happen. The nWo HAS to go over to be viewed as a threat they have to go over austin to. I don't care how they do it but they have to win.

overbooked mess, its the only way to cover hogans obvious in-ring deficiencies, and make the crowd believe that essentially an old man (albeit a legend) could stand even a chance of matching it with the rock.  i love clean matches as much as the next man, but there are some situations which demand interference, and this is *most* definitely one of them.

This is the match I'm most looking forward to at Mania, easily. I heard Patterson is already working on the layout of the match so thats a good sign this one might actually be good. Patterson, when he has worked hard, is credited with planning out the big matches for both of the guys in the past in that their respective weaknesses in the ring aren't exposed.

 

Rock is due here, big time. Considering that he has done the biggest jobs in the past three years at Mania, he needs and frankly deserves a win on the big stage for once. A Hogan loss can be expendable in the start here as long as Hogan gets his heat back in the aftermath, which I'm sure he will. All it will take is another big angle like the one they did after No Way Out on Raw to get the NWO heat if they lose their matches at Mania. In fact that whole semi-ambulance angle was going to be saved for after Mania just for this reason, so I'm guessing they already have it pencilled in that Rock is winning. Plus it's just not right for Hogan, who hasn't been any part of the big business the WWF has had in the past 4-5 years, to be put over here right away.

 

If anyone is thinking Hogan will put up a stink about losing clean.......I don't think so. Given the current situation in that Hogan, Hall, and Nash need to really prove themselves, I don't see Hogan demanding anything here. If he would even think of it, I think Vince would straight up tell him to do what is told of him or he would be breaching his contract. Rock will go over clean, I'm thinking. And from what I've heard Hogan say about Rocky before he even came back to the WWF, I think Hogan wouldn't even have a problem with that.

hogan was *probably* just sucking up to vince.  and while i think rock will go over, hogan will probably try to pull some shit so that he doesnt *damage* himself.  (i know im going into bitter smark mode) hogan just needs to step aside, realise that the winds of change have already blown and step aside gracefully, he has already hung around way too long as it is.

I'm normally a hogan basher and proud of it, but if there's an event that hogan normally goes all out for it's wrestlemania. the wrestlemania match him and warrior had was really good so maybe just maybe before the sports entertainment shit goes down him and rocky will put together a good match

I'd like to see a clean brawl. I know you guys hate 'em, but I like it, and I don't think that the majority of people hate them either. Either that or a really psychological match, because if these two try to wrestle an athletic match it wouldn't work. Hogan wouldn't be able to fall and get up quick enough, let alone sell well, hit moves clean etc.

Of course there will be interference near the end, but that should only build heat... hopefully. I want to see another Jacknife on Rock, I loved it on Raw.

I feel that WM should be kept as clean as possible when it comes to the run-ins. This is Post-Attitude WWF though so were going to have it. I could live with one run in during the Hogan-Rock match. Any more though is pushing it.
