Guest BoboBrazil Report post Posted October 30, 2002 -Brock Lensar vs. Rey Mysterio -Kurt Angle vs. Eddy Guerrero -Edge vs. Chris Benoit -Torrie Wilson vs. Dawn Marie -Big Show vs Rikishi The first 4 matches are from wrestlingobserver.com and they announced Big Show vs Rikishi over the weekend. It looks like a good show. Lesnar vs Mysterio, Angle vs Guerrero, and Edge vs Benoit should all be entertaining.

Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted October 30, 2002 Brock vs Rey? Who's bright fucking idea was that? Yea, really... talk about a squash. Literally if Lesnar applies the bearhug.
Guest El Luchadore Magnifico Report post Posted October 30, 2002 Eddy vs. Angle? Benoit vs. Edge? *drools* Oh my God, this show could create two ****+ matches.
Guest RepoMan Report post Posted October 30, 2002 Well, the cruiserwieght division is offecially dead again.
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted October 30, 2002 Guys, what's wrong with Brock/Rey? That match could be awesome! I can't wait for Angle/Guerrero and Benoit/Edge. Awesome stuff so far.
Guest RedJed Report post Posted October 30, 2002 I agree........I don't see whats so bad about Rey-Lesnar at all. Rey is creeping towards being a main event player, this just makes sense. The difference in styles could make for a good match.
Guest thebigjig Report post Posted October 30, 2002 What's wrong with Brock/Mysterio? Must I remind some of you about the events that occured in the final year of WCW with Steiner and the WCW cruisers? Fodder
Guest RedJed Report post Posted October 30, 2002 What's wrong with Brock/Mysterio? Must I remind some of you about the events that occured in the final year of WCW with Steiner and the WCW cruisers? Fodder That has nothing to do with this match. Different people were booking that and it was 2 years ago. You have Heyman booking Smackdown, and there has never been an indication of the CW guys looking second rate to anyone else. In fact this is a clear indication of such. I don't get the beef here, would you rather see Rey typecast in a CW division his entire career? He's already got out of that and is working with guys like Angle and Benoit currently. Guest bob_barron Report post Posted October 30, 2002 Notice how the WWE offers us 2 fantastic matches yet all a lot of you focus on is the one possibly negative match

He's smaller than my old grandma on steroids. How should he be booked? But you make it sound like a bad thing to be a CW. You see CW on velocity or maybe on true CW match on smackdown, otherwise you still have big hosses taking out tiny CW's and vince is happy. joy
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Report post Posted October 30, 2002 Aside from the last two matches which'll definitely suck, the top 3 should be friggin AWESOME! I'll be taping this baby right over RAW.

You see CW on velocity or maybe on true CW match on smackdown, otherwise you still have big hosses taking out tiny CW's and vince is happy. joy Thats exactly why this isn't a bad thing that Rey is given a title shot.......to get rid of that old addage that CW wrestlers are inferior to the rest. Heyman is trying to eliminate that, and in turn help all of the CW wrestlers. You say its not a bad thing to be typecast as a CW, yet you say they aren't on enough, etc. Make up your mind! Rey shouldn't be booked as just a CW due to his talent. Pure talent no matter what the size shouldn't be held down in a weight limited division. Thats why he shouldn't be booked just in the CW division. And from seeing how Heyman has portrayed him, thats the plan of action.
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted October 30, 2002 How should he be booked? But you make it sound like a bad thing to be a CW. A main eventer...which he easily can be. And there's nothing bad about a Crusierweight...but I SURE as hell would rather be a main eventer than a cruiserweight because better things will happen to your carrer. You don't see Crusierweights starring on TV shows and movies, sorry to say.
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2002 -Brock Lensar vs. Rey Mysterio Well, this could be either an interesting contrast of styles match...or a complete squash. Hoping for the former in this situation. Hell, I think that Rey used to carry Kevin Nash to all right matches... -Kurt Angle vs. Eddy Guerrero Probably will be the match of the night. Kurt to play the role of Face again? -Edge vs. Chris Benoit Hehe...While Kurt faces a heel, Benoit faces a face. I think we see the seeds being planted. Another possibly good match. -Torrie Wilson vs. Dawn Marie T&A. Pure and simple. -Big Show vs Rikishi Our Raw-Esque match of the night!
Guest Michael Joel Benoit Report post Posted October 30, 2002 Smackdown can do no wrong AGAIN! I am interested about this SmackDown! Halloween Party. It'll probalby be silly like the Thanksgiving episodes but I am for it.

Guest Bricks Report post Posted October 30, 2002 Well, I'll definetly be setting the VCR for the first three matches. Anyways, as for Brock vs Rey, well Brock bumps like a champ for everyone so I could see Rey having significant offense. And even tease a win too.
Guest Your Olympic Hero Report post Posted October 30, 2002 Brock vs Rey? Who's bright fucking idea was that? That's the ultimate David vs. Goliath match. It might not be bad. Plus we have ANGLE VS. EDDY~! and BENOIT vs. EDGE~! to look forward to. FUCK YOU RAW! Take the Big Show back!

Anyways, as for Brock vs Rey, well Brock bumps like a champ for everyone so I could see Rey having significant offense. And even tease a win too. VERY strong point. Rey's gunna pull out some crazy shit basically because Brock can take it. I'm sure will see some intresting spots between the two.
Guest Incandenza Report post Posted October 30, 2002 I'll mark out if Brock sells the rana. Fo' rill.
Guest chirs3 Report post Posted October 30, 2002 Wow, this looks like a good show... AGAIN. Lesnar/Rey should be fun... Edge/Benoit has potential... Eddie/Angle can do *** in their sleep... Dawn Marie is hot. Torrie is hot. No arguments there. And Show/Rikishi is... uh... a nice bathroom break...
Guest midnight_burn Report post Posted October 30, 2002 Show/Rikishi and Torrie/Dawn will suck, but that's more than made up for by a potentially very nice match in Brock/Rey, and two sure to be awesome matches of Edge vs Benoit and Eddy vs Angle. If given time we've got up to 3 great matches on our hands.
Guest Nater Report post Posted October 30, 2002 Kish vs. Slow is gonna be sloppy and boring. Besides that I'm sure that the show will still be vastly superior to Raw.
Guest ISportsFan Report post Posted October 30, 2002 I read on DVDVR's board that Benoit/Edge went 13 minutes and opened the show. Don't know the result, or if he's right or anything, but it sounds good on paper. Jason
Guest DJ Jeff Report post Posted October 30, 2002 Smackdown looks like it should be good yet again. I'm especially looking forward to Lesnar vs. Mysterio, just to see if Mysterio manages to get a win over Lesnar. Hey, if it's non-title, that could happen, and I hope it does. Benoit vs. Edge sounds like it will definately be a superb match, same with Angle vs. Guerrero.
Guest Zero_Cool Report post Posted October 30, 2002 Smackdown! is going to rock, no doubts. Maybe Big Show and Rikishi will be watchable if Rikishi sells like a little bitch.
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted October 30, 2002 -Brock Lesnar vs. Rey Mysterio Eh...could be interesting--personally I expect a squash, but they could pull off a cool match. -Kurt Angle vs. Eddy Guerrero We may have our singles MOTY here, folks--they better give it at least 10 minutes. -Edge vs. Chris Benoit Could be just as good, although not better, than Angle/Eddy. Yaaay!!-Torrie Wilson vs. Dawn MariePUPPIES!! Keep it short and painless, though. -Big Show vs RikishiOur requisite hoss match, just to keep the show from completely reeking of awesomeness. However, I'd rather watch these tubs of lard for a few minutes than HHH at all--so be it.
