Guest crusen86 Report post Posted March 3, 2002 Due to this board being dead, I shall predict who from the current roster will hold onto that big gold belt. Thugg - Along with his current reign, at least once more. Probably even more. Stevens - Unless he goes for the tag belts again. Sacred - A definate chance. How he can be competitive when he writes entire matches from 2-4.30am is beyond me... Fallout - Good things come to those who wait. Mag - Definately. He's starting to slip, but he'll get back going soon. Spider Nekura - Deeeefinately. In fact, probably sooner than later... And the people who are good enough, but something isn't quite right... Edwin - Easily capable enough, but something doesn't seem quite right... Perhaps kicking Mag and GSMS out of the Carnies... Outcast - If he can be bothered writing all his matches. But then again, he should have won it a year ago. Serves you right for dropping the ICTV title then feuding with Riley. X - Hmm... Like Edwin, it just doesn't seem quite right. Give the ladies a rest perhaps, eh X? Thoth - Uh, again, doesn't seem quite right. Too preoccupied with trying to take over the world.
Guest Jay_Dawg Report post Posted March 3, 2002 Ahem. Good choices... but I'm also willing to bet there will be a bumpee to get the big one as well.
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Report post Posted March 3, 2002 The reason I won't be running after the world title soon is: -My first ICTV reign was pretty abysmal since I had to take 2 months off a week after winning it -Stevens and Mags have already held the world title: they are the 'champions' of the Midnight Carnival -My character is too fun. This is the biggest one. Edwin, by his very nature, isn't that serious. He can be, and I've written him as such on several occasions, but no one remembers those, and really, rightly so. Who wants the Mac Daddy to be getting intense when he could be backflipping and spouting inane yet somehow profound rhetoric? That said, I think if I turned heel and went sadisticly strange and wicked, I could be fighting for the world belt in a second. But we already have about a half-dozen guys who do that. It's kinda true, though. If you look back at recent history, we've had heel champs since August, with the exception of Mark's week with the belt. Which is, actually, really strange when you think about the usual heel/face dynamic. Bizarro! Now, that said, here's who'll hold the world title in 2002. Thugg - Uh, he's holding it now, dorks. Spider Nekura - He has the perfect world champion character. Sick, sadistic, creepy leader of a stable, and he's not just a figurehead. He's the mouthpiece, but he's also portrayed as one of the most lethal. He'll have an ICTV reign to rival Thugg's or Stevens', and then that big belt is his... The Savior - I don't know who he is, but I think he'll hold it. He's been built up to be more important than the Prophet, and I think he's going to make an even bigger impact. Edwin MacPhisto - Hey, I said I wouldn't have it anytime soon, but there's still 10 months left in the year. If I don't hold it sometime by then, I will actually be quite surprised and disappointed with myself. I don't care too much for titles, but that's the point of highest achievement, and I'd like to hit that. Axis - If he comes back, and I think he will, it's the only place left for him to go. And go there he will. Others I think have a good shot at it: uh, well, pretty much the whole league. 10 months is a looooong time.
Guest crusen86 Report post Posted March 3, 2002 Yup, there would probably be a few bump guys in there as well. But they are hard to predict at this stage, since they aren't in the league. And definately, 10 months is a damn long time. Things change, people become good/bad, and all of a sudden JD is the world champ. And the Savior... I think I know who he is, and if he wants the title, he'll get it.
Guest Ash Ketchum Report post Posted March 3, 2002 Here's the JL Listing: Ash Ketchum-Gee... I wonder why... this guy seems to be on top of his game again, and if he keeps performing and writing well, he could win the title. Annie Eclectic-Another possible chamnp here. She's got the skills, but she may be WF bound soon... Low Brass-Former champ who's got the skills needed to win. Erek Taylor-Great wrestler. Only thing holding him back is the Euro Title. Shawn Brody-Upset pick of the year. From what I've seen, Brody is a great writer. Sydney Sky-The Ass-kicking chick will returneth and win herself a World title!
Guest thebleakaffinity Report post Posted March 3, 2002 Hmm... Let's see... Spider Nekura - There's no doubt in my mind, that unless he retires he's gonna be champ. Mark Stevens - I think Mark or Thugg is going to break Rane's record this year. Thugg - See above. Fallout - This man kicks ass. Sacred - One of the biggest out of nowhere guys in recent memory, I think he'll pull it off. This year could turn out to be pretty good...
Guest midnight_burn Report post Posted March 3, 2002 May as well give this a go. Hville Thugg- He's already the champ, and it wouldn't surprise me if he holds onto it for another lengthy reign. Stevens- Just beaten by Thugg, Stevens will no doubt be fighting for the world title for a long time to come. One of the very best in the WF, and more title reigns are surely in his future. Xstasy- Already seems to be headed for the world title, and he'll surely get his hands on it before too long. Among the very best in the fed. Axis- If he returns he'd have to be considered a very big threat to the world title, and definately has the ability to beat anyone in order to win the title. Edwin MacPhisto- The mac daddy definately has what it takes to become the champ. If Edwin isn't a world champ by the end of the year i'll be quite surprised. Spider Nekura- Superb writer, if he wants the world title he'll win it. ELM- A former champ, and a great writer. It would seem only a matter of time until he's back in the race for the biggest title there is. Sacred- A dominate US champ, and has the ability to move up and reach even higher acolades. A world title reign will no doubt be his somewhere down the line. Thoth- Another of the best the WF has to offer, and when he's on he can beat anyone in the fed. The world title seems to be a natural progression for him, and he'll have his hands on it before the year is done. Fallout- A brilliant writer, is capable of beating pretty much everyone in the fed. If he gets a chance at the title, i'm sure he'll make the most of that opportunity and become the world champ. The Boston Strangler- Dominated when he was in the JL not too long ago, and has continued that form into the WF, picking up several impressive wins and becoming quite a strong hardcore champ. He certainly has what it takes to rise up and perhaps obtain the world title by years end. K-Os- If any of the current JL crop will be able to rise up and get the SWF world title, it's this man. By far the best in the JL right now, and definately has the ability to come up to the WF and be immediately competitive. And there's alot of time left in the year, so he might just be able to do it. And who knows who else will step up and move into world title contention, and which stars will return and immediately set their sights on the world title. The league is as competitive as it's ever been, and just about everyone has a realistic shot at becoming world champ.
Guest Tyler McClelland Report post Posted March 3, 2002 I'm glad one person thought I... can't win it. Oh well. ::snickers at his pitiful-ness::
Guest Zero_Cool Report post Posted March 3, 2002 Well y'all better watch out, because I may just get motivated...and become the greatest JTTS there ever was! Yeah!!
Guest Spider_Nekura Report post Posted March 3, 2002 Edwin MacPhisto - He's an excellent writer, my favourite in fact. At his best he's as good, if not better, than Cyclone Comet in my opinion. Thoth - He definitely has the writing abilities but sometimes lacks the will. Vastly improved since he first joined the Clan, it's actually frightening. There's no doubt inmy mind that Thoth will capture the World Title soon enough. Prophet - Yeah, he sucks and he's a no showing bastard but he is an awesome writer. I have nothing but the upmost respect for him as I mimicked my writing style partly on his. Saviour - He's been built up so much that he can't not get the title. Plus I think I know who it is... Mark Stevens - Mark's proved he has the goods twice before and I think he'll do it again this year, at least once more. I wouldn't be surprised if he sets a new record for the longest World title reign. Sacred - Although I don't think he's quite ready just yet, I think Sacred will get the most coveted prize in the SWF this year. He is a promising, new talent...only kidding, I know how much that pisses him off. This guy was kicking major arse before I'd even signed up. He deserves it the most for all the work he's put in over the last year and a bit and he deffinitely has the talent. Stubby - If he ever returns this year, there's no question; he'll win the title. It goes without saying that he's the best writer in IGNWF/SWF history. Yes, I am aware that I'm being a complete suck up but meh, that's what I think. Fallout - How could I forget Fallout? He's another guy who's been here from the start and has put so much hard work into this federation. He's scarily good. And I admit it...the Black Widow Bomb is a cheap modification of the Nuclear Bomb. Uhh...that's enough writing.
Guest TheBostonStrangler Report post Posted March 3, 2002 Woohoo! I got mentioned by somebody! Yay! Anyway, I'll give this a try... Thugg: As Edwin said it, he's already the title holder. And Thugg is too good not to get another shot at it when he eventually drops it. Grand Slam: Grand Slam = (Y). He's managed to get to where he is through silently being one of the most solid, thorough writers in the fed. He'll get his title back sooner than later. King of Hearts: Yeah, I know he left. But the bug bites us all eventually, and he'll be back sometime (I'm guessing summer). And when he's back, he'll be right back in the fight. El Luchadore Magnifico: He held it before, and had a decent run. And he brings so much to the division, with a completely different style, IMO. If he can get a ladder match for the championship, it'll be the start of a new title run. Edwin MacPhisto: I dunno...Edwin + World Champ = Weird. But hell, he's damn good. He'll get there sooner or later. He'll get a shot by this summer. Spider Nekura: The Clan's leader can get there. He and Thoth are at virtually the same level, IMO, so I think he and Thoth will be competing against each other to see who gets the first Clan run at the title. Thoth: Thoth was up there late last year, so there's no reason he can't get there again. See above. Fallout: The unsung champ of the fed. I've become a full-fledged Fallout mark, and if he doesn't get a shot sometime, someone will pay. Well, not Stubby, but SOMEONE. The Boston Strangler: Well, if everyone keeps no-showing against me, just point me in the right direction! K-Os: He's that damn good. He has a REAL good shot at being the next Thugg. w00t. Guest Perfect_Bo Report post Posted March 4, 2002 Well, it's my turn to pick who might be world champion before this year is over... Fallout He's been one of the best writers, how should I say, silent killer for the pass year and this year is his year.. MarkBecause he's already been champion, two time champion, and he will become champion once again.. Dont know when though. SpiderBecause he's that damn nice. ThothHis time will come.. All he has to do is drop that ego trip and he'll be nice. ELMBecause, the flag stabbing thing was NICE... ThuggCause he's ALREADY CHAMPION.. Bo Oh wait, I suck... Forget about me.. Bo
Guest HVilleThugg Report post Posted March 4, 2002 I'll play this game... Let's see... ALREADY THERE: Xstasy - one of the best plot writers in the fed, if not THE best. He'll get the title if he doesn't get too caught up in real life shit to be at his best. Stevens - His previous reign was rather short and marred in controversy, so this hungry vet will hold the title at least one more time before he departs. HVT - That's me. I have it now. Don't know how long I'll have it, but since I do have it, that counts as this year...so, woo hoo! That's it. ------------------- ALMOST THERE: Edwin - The best dialogue and comment writer we have, and his matches usually kick ass. This charismatic fellow could be in the running for the title as soon as he decides he wants to be. It's just that simple for the panda wrangler. Spider - He's good. We all know he's good. The only thing keeping him from the title now is time. Since he was MIA for so long, he needs to get over (in-character) a bit more, and then we should all fear this cryptic fellow. I say in about 2 or 3 months, after the Clan/Enlightentment thing plays out, Spider will move on to the big time to compete for the title. ELM - We all know that Mags can compete for the world title whenever he wants. He's proven that by winning countless #1 contender matches and the like. His only problem is...he can't beat me!! Just kidding there my Mexican slut friend...but seriously, I think that ELM will make it back there after competing in the upper midcard for a couple of months. ------------------------------------------------ ON THE RISE: Sacred - The first person I think of when I think of who's hot and who's not. Sacred's hot...plain and simple, and has been for some time. Despite losing the US title to X, Sacred's on his way to bigger and better things. I think a solid ICTV title reign is in his near future, followed by a world title win late in the year. Fallout - He's been kicking some major ass in the LHW division, and once he decides he's had enough of that title, he'll fly up the card. Look for Fallout to compete heavily in the ICTV title race, and then move into a contrndership for the World title by year's end. ------------------------------------------ NEXT YEAR: K-Os - I don't know how many of you follow the JL, but this kid's nice...plain and simple. He's got a lot of raw talent, and he can really put together some spectacular things. Once he gets bumped, it'll take him a couple of months to adjust to WF life, and then little while longer to move up the card. However, a year from now...maybe even sooner, you'll be watching this promising young talent compete for the title. Strangler - Don't sleep on this guy just because he's hanging around Hardcore land right now. This Boston native brings with him the new breed of talent swarming in from the JL. He's still getting his feet wet now, competing with his old JL running buddies, but by this time next year...he'll be at the top of his game and consequently, at the top of this fed....and his generation X counterparts will be kicking us, by then, old-timers out on our asses. Damn you Strangler...damn you! That's all I can think about right now...

Guest AnnieEclectic Report post Posted March 4, 2002 Well, if I don't get bumped, you better believe I'm nabbing that JL World Title again. Low Brass will get the JL World title..... then get bumped. other people will get other titles and may or may not get bumped. So Says The Clan -A.E.
