My First Mod Job

Generic beige case. Redid the cables inside, which you can't see from this view, but I've got clear/silver rounded IDE cables.

 

Inside, it's not a hot rod machine, but it does the job:

1ghz Celeron w/Volcano 7 heatsink

GA-6VEML motherboard

256mb SD-RAM

10.2gb hard drive, with 80gb for storage

TDK 32x10x40x CD-RW

4-port USB card

1x80mm intake (front)

2x80mm exhaust (back, top)

 

The PSU and mobo are nothing special, and I'm using onboard video, which hurts performance, but I'm upgrading that and the sound this winter. I'm also hoping to at least get a new mobo that supports DDR this winter, assuming I don't get a new case and go for a totally new mod job.

 

I'm also working on a 4-switch baybus in the open 3.5" port for the three fans and the cold cathode (which doesn't show up very well in the photo).
