Ayako Hamada and the WWF

I remember hearing a few months ago Japanese lady wrestler Ayako Hamada wanted to talk the WWF when they came to Japan. Anyone know what's happening (or has happened) with that?

I've seen her wrestle once and she can go. Where did you get the WWF was gonig to sign her? They would just pair with Funaki and send her to Jacked for an eternity.

I don't know.  I haven't heard anything about it.  She was supposed to do something when they came to Japan (which just happened).  Go to the Foreign board and ask there, they might know.  I for one hope it happens as I'm a huge fan of hers and I know she is better looking, more athletic, and overall just better than Lita, who the fans just love for her "high flying" style.  Ugh.

I'm not sure if there has been any talks, but I know there was at least rumors that the respective sides might consider such a deal if it could be ironed out. Hell, if the WWF is pushing Jazz, that is saying something that theres a chance for this to happen.

 

Zach Arnold reported that she was spotted at the Yokohama WWF show here and there, so maybe there is something there afterall.

He reported her spotted and didn't say anything about her meeting with the WWF? That's weird.

Maybe Meltzer will have some news about it down the road.....Arnold simply doesn't even have the interest or maybe the sources to find out if certain folks are having meetings with the WWF, really. I'm even shocked he covered this event at all over at his site.

i hope she doesnt sign, she would just be wasting her time with the wwf anyway, they will probably never push the womens division seriously anyway.  stay in japan where you receive some appreciation.

There were no confirmed reports of her at the show, which probably means she wasn't there since everyone else who was there was confirmed. The whole WWF thing was basically her dad's idea anyway...

i don't know anything about her but it seems to me the last thing the wwf wants to do is sign more talent.
