Who will win next years superbowl.

This year's winner was pretty darn hard to predict going into the season...so let's see who's good enough to pick next years winner now.

I pick Philadelphia.

I might have to go with an upset pick here.

Ok, Indianapolis.

They have a great offense, and Dungy is a defensive genious.  If he manages to work the magic he did in Tampa, than the Colts will be very good.

Cincinnati.  Good defense, good receivers, good running back just a quarterback away from being something special...  In all seriousness, St. Louis

I'm going to say the 49ers. They'll be the underdog team in the playoffs next year.

To go even further on next season...I'll say the Houston Texans get at least 5 or 6 wins in their first year.

They may not win the super bowl, but I think the Cleveland Browns will surprise people next year, and make it deep in the playoffs.

Super Bowl prediction, however: Probably the Rams

Figuring it'll be another team to come out of nowhere (that's NFL parity for ya).. I'll go with...... Seattle.  Why not.

I can more or less call a team that AREN'T gonna be there next year... the Chargers. Why? Is it because they're shite? Well yeah, but the main riding factor is that next year's SuperBowl is in SAN DIEGO and we know that no team has EVER had a home SuperBowl.

I think the Rams will take it, as they've learned their lesson this year, they'll come back even more dangerous than before.

Actully, if memory serves me correctly, Miami played in the Orange Bowl which was the super bowl in the mid 70's and won as well.

The Five teams you can safely bank on for 2002-2003

St. Louis Rams

S.F 49ers

Oakland Raiders

Green Bay Packers

Pittsburgh Steelers

Five teams to watch for Surprise year

Seattle SeaHawks-A very good team that only missed playoffs because of Idiot Coach not playing a proven quarterback over a Young kid with limited skills.

Cincinnati Bengals-A great team that only needs a great quarterback (Bledsoe, that means you!)

Kansas City Chiefs-Look dangerously good at tail end of '01 season.

Washington Redskins-Have the personal, they just need an explosive quarterback to fit Spurrier's style.

Indy Colts-If Dungy can do what he did with Tampa 5 years ago, with Manning, Harrison and James already meshed, it should be a huge year for Dungy and Co.

Five teams to already count out

Carolina Panthers-Chris Fox? Who? Wienke? This team will struggle for years before they ever get respectability.

Chicago Bears- Unless they can steal Bledsoe, their defense will not be able to hold it's shoddy offense any more. Look at Baltimore for example.

Atlanta Falcons-Quarterback of the future or not, Mike Vick won't have anybody to dump it to for awhile, they will lag in Medorocity forever unless they make risky and smart decisions.

Detroit Lions-Although it won't be as bad as last year, there exporsure on Leno, certaintly won't help them get to the dance next year.

New England Pats-Cinderlla never repeats.

I checked my SuperBowl history, Miami have NEVER played a SuperBowl at home, they played as follows...

SuperBowl VI in New Orleans (LOST)

SuperBowl VII in Los Angeles (WON)

SuperBowl VIII in Houston (WON)

SuperBowl XVII in Pasadena (LOST)

SuperBowl XIX in Stanford (LOST)

Oakland definately.  They've got the offense, as long as Jerry Rice comes back.  They need a DT to take care of Darrell "I didn't do it" Russell's absence, and maybe another linebacker or safety.  That really isn't much in the free agency age.  As long as Gruden and Al Davis don't clash, it'll be the Raiders year next year.

Choken One, good call on the Chiefs.  They could be huge next year.  All they need is for two of their receivers to play well and stay healthy all season.  They've had a year to get used to Vermeil's system and if they get good WR play that offense will be extremely dangerous, with Priest Holmes at RB, Tony Gonzalez at TE, and Trent Green at QB (people are down on him but he's a good QB, he just needs people to throw to)

Buffalo has to be about the worst team in the league.

Of course, this all hinges on draft day and offseason moves, but ...

AFC:

1.) Oakland (AFC West winner)

2.) Indianapolis (AFC South winner)

3.) Miami Dolphins (AFC East winner)

4.) Pittsburgh Steelers (AFC Central Winners)

5.) Cleveland Browns

6.) New England Patriots

NFC:

1.) San Francisco 49ers (NFC West winner)

2.) Chicago Bears (NFC Central winner)

3.) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (NFC Sotuh winner)

4.) Philadephia Eagles (NFC East Winner)

5.) Green Bay Packers

6.) St. Louis Rams

AFC Championship:  Pittsburgh (4) over Indianapolis (2)

NFC Championship:  Chicago (2) over St. Louis (6)

Super Bowl:  Chicago 23, Pittsburgh 20
