I think HHH's match on smackdown was the best one since he returned. While their wasn't huge variation in the moves he used the ones that he did use were executed the best so far like his neckbraker on Y2J. I think this was a sign that HHH is starting to find his form again. What do you think?

I hope he's in his best ring shape at WrestleMania, because I want to see how everyone reacts if Jericho and HHH put on the best WWF match so far this year. These guys haven't done worse than ****, and that's as good as anything the WWF did last year. Of course overbooking will hurt it, but the basis of the match should be good.

well, thats true sakura, but with hhh's recent ringwork would you really doubt it too much? hhh *was* good, when he carried the matches as a heel.  now as a face he hasnt shown anywhere near the same form and his work has seemingly degenerated badly.  aside, jericho would carry trips anyway, because isnt the heel the one who normally dictates the pace, etc of the match?

Yeah, but if the match is good it will be seen as a triumph for Jericho and they'll downplay HHH's involvement or maybe everyone will focus on how Jericho should have won instead of the match itself. Either way, no one is going to say "hey, I was wrong" if the match is great.

i would, after all, you need to give the devil his dues.  but still for all the praise trips would undoubtedly get (and wont people come out of the woodwork to give bps shit ), imo the match will probably be ***1/2, maybe pushing ****, and most of the credit would *have* to be given to jericho.

I hope the Trips-Jericho match rocks and is a possible MOTYC because that's what this Mania really needs. Unfortunately, I think this match will be more screwy than Angle-Trips from NoWayOut.

 

As for Trips regaining his old form, he hasn't really shown it yet. Both of his good-decent matches hgave come with Angle on the other side.Angle can make alot of people look good and I don't know if Jericho could carry Trips to the level Angle can.

 

I think the match would probably be even better if it didn't surround SMH. Why does that bitch have to ruin this title match? Would it have been too hard for Trips and Jericho to build on their hatred for each other. Jericho could mention the phantom title win. Trips could bring up last man standing. Jericho talks shit about tearing HHH's leg. Focusing on Trips-Jericho history would help this match be more appealing than some convoluted divorce angle.

it truly would, because as it stands, jericho is in the mania main event, but that doesnt do anything, as he is the proverbial third person in the fued.  trips and jericho have awesome history, but if you bring up a lot of those things from the past, they get jericho over as a face, and trips as a heel, as most involve hhh screwing chris, or chris running his mouth on steph.  i can actually see a hhh heel turn coming as well, with steph turning, as she has said she is the only reason trips is 4-time champ, and she can make him 5-time (sucka ) by turning on chris.  it could work, but probably wont as trips will be needed to fued the nWo.

I'm optimistic for their 'mania match I think it will be good. It'd be a lot better in my mind if Jericho wins though, but that's just me. Triple H hasn't been as good as he was, but he'll keep getting better. He'll be good to go at Wrestlemania.
