Guest Big McLargeHuge Report post Posted October 31, 2002 How sad is it that a game featuring rappers (rappers for fuck's sake) is probably gonna play better than any WWE game? Come back, Aki. We miss you.
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted October 31, 2002 If it plays like No Mercy I'll buy it no matter what. Me too, sadly. What does it come out for again?
Guest Downhome Report post Posted October 31, 2002 I am also shocked that this will more than likely be the best American wrestling game out for the next-gen systems, that is sad indeed. I don't even like rap really, almost none at all. I will be getting this game however, as I am in need of wrestling game bliss. :D
Guest Downhome Report post Posted October 31, 2002 Oh, my, God. I am in pure shock, seriously. I just went and checked out those videos, for the first time, just now, and I don't know what to say... ....... ...I'm speechless. Please be as good as you look Mr. Video Game, as if you are, there will be some great times in store for you and I.

Guest ant_7000 Report post Posted October 31, 2002 Since im a big fan of rap I might check this out. DMX vs. Ja Rule in a cage match since they have lil beef right now. Mostly it will be Def Jam Artists I assume like Jay-Z, Ja, DMX, Red and Meth, Ludacris etc.
Guest CED Ordonez Report post Posted October 31, 2002 *sheds tears of joy* AKI!!!!!!!!!! If this has a CAW mode, I may just overlook the fact that it has rappers I don't give two shits about.
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted October 31, 2002 That's exactly what I'm going to do, CED. Flyboy shall return! ... Unless Fire Pro Gamecube comes down before DJW.
Guest Downhome Report post Posted October 31, 2002 That's exactly what I'm going to do, CED. Flyboy shall return! ... Unless Fire Pro Gamecube comes down before DJW. Speaking of FirePro, I recently obtained Fire Pro D brand new for less than $15, and I have FINALLY learned the Fire Pro series controls, and quite frankly, it is my second favorite wrestling game ever. Right behind Giant Gram, and right over VPW2. Anyhow... ...I believe that ONLY Def Jam artists will be in this game, so keep that in mind. If it has a create-a-player, then this will be a 100% must own of any Pro. Wrestling fan. I don't even like rap really, and I'll be getting this game. I NEED AN AKI GAME DAMNIT! Guest TheArchiteck Report post Posted October 31, 2002 I've been playing FPD alot lately. Created my "Black Lion" character I make in all games. He's kicking everyone's ass. Except in cage fighting...they always critical me.
Guest Downhome Report post Posted October 31, 2002 Fire Pro, ANY VERSION, simply rules all ass. Yes, even the SNES versions, any of them.
Guest Lord of The Curry Report post Posted October 31, 2002 I'm really interested in getting one of the Fire Pro games for my N64, but do I need any special adaptors or anything because it's an import?
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted October 31, 2002 Ummm... did any FP games come out for N64? I don't think so... maybe you're thinking abot VPW2.
Guest SP-1 Report post Posted October 31, 2002 Okay, if it's as hard hitting as the preview suggests, I'm there. -SP, who is so there if it turns out as good as it looks.
Guest Downhome Report post Posted October 31, 2002 No, there is not Fire Pro Wrestling game for the N64. HOWEVER... ...the, what I like to call, third greatest Pro. Wrestling game of all time is on N64, under the name of VPW2, or, Virtual Pro. Wrestling 2. Get that game, and fall it love. It's like two games in one really, with the Pro. Wrestling matches, and THEN the damn fine and involving Shoot Fighting!

Guest DVD Spree Report post Posted November 5, 2002 According to GamesPress.co.uk, the game is due for both the GameCube and PS2 early next year: "Def Jam VENDETTA will be published and distributed by EA for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system and Nintendo GameCubeTM in early 2003. The development force behind the game consists of pedigree talent from AKI Corporation, seasoned Japan-based game developer, and the EA Canada creative team responsible for NBA Street." This game looks SOOOO much fucking fun - the intro takes me right back to teh first time I saw the opening to WCW/nWo Revenge. AKI are the fucking bomb, and THQ can eat some serious dick for letting them get away. Speaking of which, since AKI's US releases usually mirror domestic (Japanese) versions of the same game but with an All Japan license, does that mean a next-gen puro game is on the way from AKI? VPW3 would be FUCKING AWESOME...
Guest jimmy no nose Report post Posted November 5, 2002 From IGN: The grappling system is pure Aki, with immediately familiar controls and animations. The X button delivers weak and strong grapples, which then combine with a wide variety of button and D-pad combos to execute grappling moves. Striking combos use the square button -- as with grapples, the strength of a strike attack varies according to pressure on the analog buttons. http://ps2.ign.com/articles/376/376274p1.html Is it safe to assume we're all buying this game now? Guest Lord of The Curry Report post Posted November 5, 2002 Downhome- Ok, VPW2 is what I meant, so how hard is it to come across a copy of it? Do I need a special emulator because it's a Japanese game?

Well, according to the same article, there's no create-a-player; not yet anyway. If there isn't one for the final release, it's a big drawback for me, to the point where I won't buy it. Guest Downhome Report post Posted November 6, 2002 Downhome- Ok, VPW2 is what I meant, so how hard is it to come across a copy of it? Do I need a special emulator because it's a Japanese game? It isn't hard at all to find a copy of it, it's on eBay all the time. As a matter of fact, here you go... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=1395813620 ...that auction not only comes with the game, but the adapter you need to play it on an American N64. All you do is plug the adapter into where the game would go, then plug your import game into the adapter. Yep, the N64 is about the easiest system of all time to play imports, lol. Also, incase eBay removes the auction (as they sometimes do when someone lists an adapter of this sort), here is the sellers email address... [email protected] ...I highly recomend you checking it out, and getting it, as you will NOT be dissapointed, I guarentee it, period.
