Guest imajackoff? Report post Posted November 1, 2002 And a little bit of Chris Tucker goes a DAMN long way. Truer words were never spoken. His role in Jackie Brown gives him just the right amount of camera time.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted November 1, 2002 I completly agree with Training Day...just a boring movie with a stupid plot...Washington getting an oscar for that was a joke. MIssion Impossible 2??? I wouldn't call it overrated, cause everyone I know who's seen it goes on about how bad it sucks.
Guest Lethargic Report post Posted November 1, 2002 explain this to me: a movie contains a scene in which a couple of computer nerds (dressed in black trenchcoats) use machine guns and explosives to kill dozens of more or less innocent people, including police officers. Less than a year later, the Columbine massacre occurs. Am I the first one to make this connection? Oh come on. First off, they were innocent police officers who, at any moment, could have become Agents. Would you have taken that chance? And second... well, the whole "Movies make kids kill people" debate should probably be in a seperate folder, but let me just say if you think a movie scene caused Columbine, you need help. Didn't all the deaths happen while they were IN the Matrix meaning none of it was even real in the first place? I really don't understand saying Matrix is over-rated because some kids shot up a school or that a helicopter crashed into a building. Yeah, I'm sure bin Laden watched the Matrix in his cave and said....EUREKA! I'VE GOT IT!!!

Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted November 1, 2002 Didn't all the deaths happen while they were IN the Matrix meaning none of it was even real in the first place? Ah, but remember, the body cannot live without the mind, or so said the movie.
Guest chirs3 Report post Posted November 1, 2002 Yep. The Matrix holds people's minds captive, and if you die in the Matrix... well, it's pretty obvious you'd just either be a vegetable or dead in the real word. And vice-versa.
Guest Special K Report post Posted November 1, 2002 The thing about movies like Citizen Kane and Seven Samurai that has them so high up the list, is not only are they good movies, they were COMPLETELY revolutionary, mostly with their directing techniques.
