Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted November 1, 2002 Report Posted November 1, 2002 Hooray! More growling and easy-as-fuck shred solo's!!
Guest Nevermortal Posted November 1, 2002 Report Posted November 1, 2002 Nile's Egyptian motif is a little hokey, but their music is heavy as fuck. Napalm is Napalm. I think I may try to attend this.
Guest converge241 Posted November 1, 2002 Report Posted November 1, 2002 okay we just need Agent to comment and that will take care of the 4 of us
Guest El Satanico Posted November 1, 2002 Report Posted November 1, 2002 Napalm Death still exists? wow I have a old CD of theirs and never thought that they'd still be around.
Guest Nevermortal Posted November 1, 2002 Report Posted November 1, 2002 okay we just need Agent to comment and that will take care of the 4 of us Heh. You think we should start a board clique? I suggest calling ourselves the SOLDIERS OF METAL~!
Guest areacode212 Posted November 1, 2002 Report Posted November 1, 2002 Napalm Death still exists? wow I have a old CD of theirs and never thought that they'd still be around. I wonder how many roster changes they've gone through since the last time I bought an ND CD (Fear, Emptiness, Despair). By the early 90s, none of the original members were in the band anymore.
Guest converge241 Posted November 1, 2002 Report Posted November 1, 2002 I think we may have to start a new clique we can get sponsored by Kerrang maybe Lords Of Chaos (from the book about the church burnings) it has that combination of levity and hokiness that is a pre-requisuite
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted November 2, 2002 Report Posted November 2, 2002 I have a metalhead-oriented forum clique at Wrestling-Titans.com called Necrominatia...
Guest Cerebus The Aardvark Posted November 2, 2002 Report Posted November 2, 2002 You think we should start a board clique? I suggest calling ourselves the SOLDIERS OF METAL~! You can't have a clique like that without me...I was listening to metal when you kids were in 2nd grade and shit. Not that I'd join a clique...but there's a principle involved.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted November 2, 2002 Report Posted November 2, 2002 Heh, I ain't getting in a clique. Trendy motherfuckers. By the way, I'M FUCKING THERE for the tour. Has anyone heard the new Nile CD yet? Fuckin' sick. When I go, I'm going to be forced to rip some bystander's face off, carve "Incendiary Incoming" into it, then staple it back onto their dome.
Guest redbaron51 Posted November 2, 2002 Report Posted November 2, 2002 I would have cared 10 years ago, but I was five at the time, now Napalm Death is just a shell of their old self. And besides its a nine hour drive to get to Cleveland. They ignore canada...fuckin bastards.
Guest EL BRUJ0 Posted November 3, 2002 Report Posted November 3, 2002 Their first stop is Houston? Then it's on like Donkey Kong!
Guest converge241 Posted November 5, 2002 Report Posted November 5, 2002 "You can't have a clique like that without me...I was listening to metal when you kids were in 2nd grade and shit. Not that I'd join a clique...but there's a principle involved. " when was this? I was in 2nd grade in 83
Guest SlaytanicTapeTrades Posted November 6, 2002 Report Posted November 6, 2002 No Vancouver Date I remember seeing Napalm back in 91-92 with Carcass & Cathedral awesome show
Guest La Parka Es Mi Papa Posted November 10, 2002 Report Posted November 10, 2002 Nile sucks ass, but Napalm Death are one of my favorites.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted November 10, 2002 Report Posted November 10, 2002 Nile sucks ass BLASPHEMY!! ::Rips Lpemp's face off::
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted November 10, 2002 Report Posted November 10, 2002 No, Agent, really...Nile sucks ass. Well, Nephren-Ka did at least. I hear some stuff off the latest, and I actually liked it...I might give 'em another try, because I've been getting into the brutal stuff a lot more (Skinless, mainly).
Guest Nevermortal Posted November 10, 2002 Report Posted November 10, 2002 A lot of Nile's songs sound the same. And the Egyptian thing is gay.
Guest La Parka Es Mi Papa Posted November 10, 2002 Report Posted November 10, 2002 Basically, my problem with Nile is that their singer is ass, and the drummer overuses the double bass pedal, so the drums just end up sounding like a very loud typewriter.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted November 10, 2002 Report Posted November 10, 2002 My friend Gina just told me of other bands with Nile and Napalm Death... ...namely The Berzerker, I think Dark Tranquility, and the mind-blowingly great STRAPPING YOUNG LAD. This is true, right? If so, I'm there to support Townsend and Gothenburg.
Guest redbaron51 Posted November 10, 2002 Report Posted November 10, 2002 if strapping young lad is with them as well, i might drive nine hours just to see them....once
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted November 11, 2002 Report Posted November 11, 2002 Let's all go to the Worcester show on February 7th. It'd be one big SmarksForum metalhead bash! ...sorry, hamburger casserole is in my system, and shit that bad HAS to fuck you up...
Guest redbaron51 Posted November 11, 2002 Report Posted November 11, 2002 thats a 12 drive for me.... but i will be in boston in 2 weeks
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted November 11, 2002 Report Posted November 11, 2002 Boston, eh? I'm sorry... Worcester > Boston Why? Slayer goes to Worcester, not Boston. 'Nuff said.
Guest Nevermortal Posted November 11, 2002 Report Posted November 11, 2002 I'll try and see if any one of my friends wants to go.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted November 11, 2002 Report Posted November 11, 2002 I'm probably going to hit the show in Cinnci.
Guest redbaron51 Posted November 12, 2002 Report Posted November 12, 2002 Boston, eh? I'm sorry... Worcester > Boston Why? Slayer goes to Worcester, not Boston. 'Nuff said. ya, but who might go to harvard??? and a boston bruins game as well
