I agree and what the hell is up with cartoons today? They are either "educational" pre-school tripe, or full of unfunny jokes and characters.

Last night they had an episode with Elmer dressed up as a Viking, and the whole thing was done like an opera...hilarious.

 

The best part of the B.B. & Tweety show was that it also had all the other characters.

the old Warner Brothers cartoons are some of the best stuff out there.

One of the creators of Bugs Bunny lives here In BC, sadly the creators got screwed by Warner money wise and the guys barely got any money to get by on.

Too bad Chuck Jones has to get by solely on selling autographs of the classic cartoons, I think none of the cartoonist from that era made any royalities from their work for WB.

 

WB cartoon shorts were far superior than any of the Disney cartoon shorts of the same era.

"Duck Amuck" as well as "What's Opera, Doc?" are both considered the best cartoons of all time.

 

I'm not as big on "What's Opera, Doc?," but I LOVE "Duck Amuck."

 

Daffy is indeed God.

it would be hard to compare the sit-com network animated series to the classic WB matinee cartoons.

 

Duck Dodgers of the 31st Century is one of my favorite Daffy cartoons.

Animaniacs and Tiny Toon Adventures were pretty funny and are still funny (especially Animaniacs)..but this crap they have now, I don't know what its called but its baby characters...That just sucks..

 

I still like a good Bugs Bunny/Daffy Duck cartoon though, its odd because they just never seem to get old or not funny, even if I've seen it before 25 times..

1936's Porky Pig in Wackyland was the best of the 30s, sez I, along with the Hatfields and McCoy's Porky and Petunia cartoon.
