Guest Lethargic Posted November 2, 2002 Report Posted November 2, 2002 What's with the silver head? Yeah, you can't look at that and tell it's not Kane Hodder. That's sarcasm.
Guest Angle-plex Posted November 2, 2002 Report Posted November 2, 2002 I could care less if Jason is played be Kane Hodder or not. Although the silver head looks pretty strange.......
Guest El Satanico Posted November 2, 2002 Report Posted November 2, 2002 I'd say that the silver head won't be seen in the actual movie. It's probably there so they can do computer FX on his head.
Guest Lethargic Posted November 3, 2002 Report Posted November 3, 2002 I'd say that the silver head won't be seen in the actual movie. It's probably there so they can do computer FX on his head. Oh well, THAT makes it better. That's more sarcasm.

Guest C.H.U.D. Posted November 3, 2002 Report Posted November 3, 2002 Why the fuck would they apply CGI to his head for the "rotting" look? Latex worked fine in every other F13 movie. And when has Jason ever wore a sweater and a wool coat? Pure retardation.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted November 3, 2002 Report Posted November 3, 2002 Jason wore a Silver Mask after being "Upgraded" in "Jason X" Hence the Silver Mask.
Guest C.H.U.D. Posted November 3, 2002 Report Posted November 3, 2002 Jason wore a Silver Mask after being "Upgraded" in "Jason X" Hence the Silver Mask. Ummm. Not really. 1. Jason Vs. Freddy takes place after Jason Goes to Hell, and only a moron would confuse that pic with the "Uber Jason". 2. We're not talking about the mask, we're talking about the fact that his friggin' HEAD is silver.
Guest lomasmoney Posted November 3, 2002 Report Posted November 3, 2002 i wonder if Freddy gets "upgraded".
Guest Youth N Asia Posted November 3, 2002 Report Posted November 3, 2002 Yeah, you can't look at that and tell it's not Kane Hodder. Yeah, they said they wanted someone smaller so it wouldn't look like he was twice as big as Freddy...and they wanted someone with "sensitive eyes" to play Jason.

Guest HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted November 3, 2002 Report Posted November 3, 2002 I think that is just the costume. Just a silver, metal dummy wearing the costume.
Guest Angle-plex Posted November 3, 2002 Report Posted November 3, 2002 1. Jason Vs. Freddy takes place after Jason Goes to Hell, and only a moron would confuse that pic with the "Uber Jason". For some reason I thought this film took place after Friday The 13th: The Final Chapter.

Yeah i know this, but for fx purposes or a dummy wearing the costume are the only reasons that make sense for the head to be silver. It could be for an type of FX, but i just said computer FX because that's what mainly uses the "blue screen" type stuff.

For some reason I thought this film took place after Friday The 13th: The Final Chapter. Nah... remember the ending of Jason Goes to Hell? Jason's mask gets pulled into the ground by Freddy's claw hand. And that legendary tease spawned rumors that survive to this day, when they FINALLY decide to make a movie about it. ...or was a movie really always planned, it just took them near a decade to get it off the ground?

I'm pretty sure that Freddy vs. Jason was always planned and it just took them a long time to work it all out. I've heard the rumors about the versus movie for at least 5 years and likely many more than five.
Guest Kagato Otaku Posted November 3, 2002 Report Posted November 3, 2002 What's with the ruckus? This is just some dummy in the Jason costume. As opposed to the schmuck who's not Kane Hodder in the Jason costume.
Guest NoCalMike Posted November 3, 2002 Report Posted November 3, 2002 Jason looks dressed up in LeatherFace's clothes.....
Guest gwf0704 Posted November 3, 2002 Report Posted November 3, 2002 Looks to me like Jason is about to turn Shaggy into Scooby snacks!!!
Guest ShooterJay Posted November 3, 2002 Report Posted November 3, 2002 Yeah, they said they wanted someone smaller so it wouldn't look like he was twice as big as Freddy...and they wanted someone with "sensitive eyes" to play Jason. This is quite possibly one of the stupidest things I've ever heard. Jason Voorhees...the most remorseless killing machine in horror history, the only one with absolutely no sympathetic characteristics (even Michael Myers is "possessed") or likability (aside from the funny ways he kills people) and you give him "sensitive eyes." This move will SO suck. Also, wouldn't it be smarter to keep Jason the same size? Freddy is a cunning villian, Jason the hulking monster, it's a classic styles clash that would fit the "vs." theme perfectly.
Guest Kagato Otaku Posted November 3, 2002 Report Posted November 3, 2002 Jason should not emote. He's not one for sympathy or sharing his inner feelings over a hot latte. And I'm not gonna feel for the big guy now that he's being manipulated (oooooo, that Freddy!) and has "sensitive eyes". He's a murder death kill machine, a way to cleanse the earth of horny teenagers. THAT'S his purpose in life. That's what he does. That's *all* he does. Really, how do you screw this up?
Guest MrRant Posted November 3, 2002 Report Posted November 3, 2002 Let people who don't understand the legacy or horror make the movie. Wes Craven would at least understand.
Guest Flyboy Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 Also, wouldn't it be smarter to keep Jason the same size? Freddy is a cunning villian, Jason the hulking monster, it's a classic styles clash that would fit the "vs." theme perfectly. Sort of how they're going about it in Superman Vs. Batman... Superman has the big advantage, but Batman is the cunning type... Adds SUSPENSE~! has who will come out the victor.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 http://movies.yahoo.com/shop?d=hp&cf=prev&...v&id=1808404090 This guy runs a great movie site. (8/20/02) Horror magazine Fangoria has done their research, and confirmed that the producers are looking for a new actor to play Jason Voorhees, reportedly looking for someone whose body type is closer to Robert Englund (ie, not so incredibly hulking), with "poetic eyes", so Voorhees can seem more like a "sad, pathetic, Phantom of the Opera-type character." Could it also be that the obvious size advantage that Hodder has over Englund would make their action scenes seem one-sided? In other casting news, "Fangoria" also reports that Kelly Roland of the musical performing group "Destiny's Child" has joined the cast, while "Access Hollywood" reports that Jason Bateman, Brian Thompson and Lisa Wilcox have as well. I still say Kane's the way to go...he's played Jason from 7-10, and looked the best doing it. And you know the goddamn Destiny's Child chick won't die, that really hurts it for me.
Guest Flyboy Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 And you know the goddamn Destiny's Child chick won't day, that really hurts it for me. Day? Is that you CWM?!
Guest Youth N Asia Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 DIE! You picky, picky, pricks, you. I don't know where I got day from though.
Guest C.H.U.D. Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 You callin me a Moron ? Only if you seriously think that's the Uber Jason in that pic.

We're not talking about the mask, we're talking about the fact that his friggin' HEAD is silver. You callin me a Moron ? CHUD is right, this is supposed to take place after JGTH, NOT Jason X. The reason they had Jason X take place so much in the future is because they wanted to protect Freddy v. Jason since they knew it was just a matter of time before it would happen and they didn't want to ruin the timeline in it. Hence Jason X being set so far in the future. Plus think about this, how stupid would it be anyway for Freddy v. Jason to be in like the year 2050 (or whatever fucking year Jason X was based in)? Also notice there was no explanation how Jason got how he was in the beginning of Jason X, so they purposefully left a huge timeline question there.......this is where Freddy v. Jason comes in. This film had been in production hell for many years.......it's good to see it's finally filming after all this time. I honestly wasn't sure it would EVER happen when script after script kept being rejected. Pretty weird that is was finally greenlit then after Jason X, which pretty much bombed out at the box office. Here is some more pics from F v J if anyone is curious..... http://timberwolfent.com/fvsj/
