Guest ManKinnd Report post Posted November 2, 2002 As much as you and I all hate the Big Show, you've got to admit that the build for his match is good. He comes on Smackdown and destroys Taker, badmouths Brock, backs it up with squashing Rikishi, and then chokeslams Brock through a table. This is just really good build to a bad match, sure, but at least Brock winning will mean something.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted November 2, 2002 While it's the most effective way to build a storyline between two characters that are essentially identical, it isn't really doing the job right, No one is taking Show serious here...not because of his character but because we know how the game works. Guest Anglesault Report post Posted November 2, 2002 They can build up the Big Show well, but not Kurt Angle.
Guest BionicRedneck Report post Posted November 2, 2002 Yeah, they are building him up, but for what? an exhibition of Lesnar's power, methinks. I reckon this is only done so Lesnar can F-5 him and everyone can go wild about Brocks strength. Personally, I despise the Big Show. He should be fired for being a fat, useless, lazy, embarrasment with a horrible attitude. Lets hope Brock "Bob Hollys" the fat piece of overpaid dog shit. Guest OSIcon Report post Posted November 2, 2002 All the building up of Big Show is pretty futile. Heymen can talk about how Show is unbeatable all he wants, but that doesn't make me forget that he's tapped out to Benoit, lost to Booker T., and many others. Maybe most people don't think beyond Big Show's present push and they "buy" it. But to me it seems dumb and almost an insult to the fans that they are trying to portay Big Show as someone that can't be beat by Brock Lesnar (who beat the Rock and Undertaker) when he has jobbed to mid carders in the past year. They are doing a good job positioning Show as a monster. Problem is this should have neen done BEFORE they had him the mid card jobbing left and right. Now it doesn't mean very much. Lets hope Brock "Bob Hollys" the fat piece of overpaid dog shit. And then they can both be fired. YAY! This F-5 WILL be a sight to see. Why.
Guest CanadianChick Report post Posted November 2, 2002 This F-5 WILL be a sight to see. Why. Its a pretty big accomplishment to lift a 500 pound man over your head like that...
Guest Choken One Report post Posted November 2, 2002 Yes but when you build that one moment for a whole month, the actual event won't be as specatular as you evisioned.

He's best as a side-show attraction. Jason

Why do I give a fuck how strong a guy is? This is wrestling, not weight lifting. Besides, I've seen show power bombed, Angle Slamed, chokeslammed, at this point, it's nothing new. Guest Choken One Report post Posted November 2, 2002 So what we're getting at here is this...Brock-Show is a One move match either, it is the F5 which Im sure will get a pop or the SSP which i am sure will get a pop. However, An f5 is harder to do with a 500 pound guy then a angle slam and Show has not really been Chokeslamed.
Guest Mad Dog Report post Posted November 2, 2002 Considering the fact that Big Show no longer has any credibility it's hard to believe this. Two squashes don't suddenly make him a main eventer.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted November 2, 2002 He really needs to beat a name player...namely...Chuck. That'll convince the fans.
Guest The Metal Maniac Report post Posted November 2, 2002 You know, the way they use Show has always bothered me. They'd take the Show, and some other wrestler, and say "Hey, if this guy beats Big Show, he'll look great!" Problem is, when you do that every week, it becomes less and less impressive everytime someone beats him. To the point that NO ONE CARES anymore. Had he kept a good winning streak prior to this (I don't mean undefeated, but at least a good majority in the wins) then it might mean something.
Guest edotherocket Report post Posted November 2, 2002 I think they are doing this to sow the seeds for Heyman and Lesnar splitting. Heyman doesn't think Lesnar can win. He will turn on Lesnar at the PPV and Show will beat Lesnar for the title. Well, either that or they are basing one of their biggest PPV main events on the spectacle of seeing a fat guy being F-5ed. Guest saturnmark4life Report post Posted November 2, 2002 fuck it, the match will be crap and show will NEVER get over as a heel, but i love the fat fuck. Not advocating the push or anything.
Guest Brian Report post Posted November 3, 2002 They're basing it on the Elimination Chamber, and Michaels getting a chance in a match to get back at Trips. RVD will win and it will go largely unnoticed. Brock/Big Show is a sideshow match, just to show off Brock's power. This and the Lewis/Moorer talks seem to fit right into the Angle/Brock eventual showdown at Mania.
Guest edotherocket Report post Posted November 3, 2002 Speaking of the Elimination Chamber I noticed JR said that he liked the look of the drawing plans for it. So it's not your regular hell in the cell or cage then. It must be a dome or a cage with lots of shit in it. And by shit, there could literally be small poo obstacles in the cage since they're in the ShockValue=Ratings mentality for the WWE Direction Of the Week. People will pay to see HHH slip in poo. Mark my words.

Oh, so in other words, this IS the World Weight Lifting Federation, and I SHOULD spend 35 bucks to see Brock F5 a fat guy. They may be making a show totally un appealing to me, but, as has been the motto of the WWF for th last 6 months, it's all for the greater good of Brock anyway, so let me get my wallet. Guest Anglesault Report post Posted November 3, 2002 Don't worry...they'll give you enough Angle for the night... So...Angle and Benoit will come in in the middle of the Brock/Show match, declare it the worst match of the year, announce that Brock and Show are fired, than fill the vacant title with a 45 minute match? Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted November 3, 2002 Brock/Big Show is a sideshow match, just to show off Brock's power. Great way to handle the *REAL* title, while they fake one gets a special match.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted November 3, 2002 Something tells me Brock will play a bigger role in the night then the Main event. It isn't like it's the first time that The Main Event world Title match was used in the middle for Series. To Anglesault...Why fire Brock? He is somewhat over and is slowly getting a good following...Show can still be used for International Promotion...Asia LOVES the fuck out of Giants.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted November 3, 2002 To Anglesault...Why fire Brock Maybe not fire, just a Big Show sized demotion. The man is taking up space up top that useful people could fill.
