The Al Snow Toy Pulled From The Market...

So it was the "SummerSlam '99" Al Snow/Hardcore Holly figure set that they pulled from the market, right? With that little Head?

 

Yeah. A local branch of KB Toys has shelves of them out now, for whatever reason. I picked up one for $7 US. It's pretty cool. This KB Toys also has those old die-cast WCW cars, WCW figures from '98, old WWF figures from '98 (SHAMROCK~!)...

 

 

Anyone ever buy one of them? I remember all the controversy about them, back in the day. It seems pretty funny, thinking about it now. "OMG A WOMAN'S HEAD! VIOLENCE~! ABUSE~!"

They probably had stock of them sitting in some warehouse. Then they decided to throw them back on the selves figuring no one would notice or care now.

thats not the one they pulled, there was a snnow stand alone that got pulled, the 2 pack was released later and no one cared then.

I thought that the 2 pack was pulled as well. I remember one time Al Snow had a match against Hardcore Holly and Holly mentioned that Snow got his figure pulled from shelves.

Yeah, Hardcore cut a promo about kicking Al's ass over getting his toy pulled out of the stores. Pretty funny.

 

I saw those pop up quite a bit after they supposivly yanked them...no biggie I guess.

The two-pack was realeased at around the same time as the single Snow figure, and thus, was pulled at the same time. I picked up one from my local Wal-Mart before they had a chance to take it off the shelf, and, I believe that it is still somewhere in my closet.

 

Funny thing is, I heard about this first while at my friend's house, while the news came on the TV, but there was no sound. Now, my friend is a HARDCORE figure fan, and nearly had a heart attack when he saw the Al Snow figure on his TV.

Was the figure actually pulled or was it just Wal Mart that stopped carrying it? I know it started out with Wal Mart, but did it go to an all out pulling of the figure from every where or was it just a few stores?

From what I remember, it was pretty much all of the major stores that sold WWE toys like that.

Al Snow with blonde hair and JOB Squad shirt comes with blonde haired Head. Al Snow with brown hair comes with brunette Head. I remember having Al Snow and Head feud with Goldust and Gold Head.

The head figure is nowhere near as cool as the panty-less Steph figure. ha
