Guest cynicalprofit Report post Posted November 3, 2002 I doubt there are to many ICP fans on this board, but for those that dont know, Nov 5th, the 6th and final jokers card. The release comes with 1 of 2 dvds, and ICP is doing a huge instoor tour, and all the other bs bands due with new albums. And for the haters, they've been making records for over a decade, not many bands can say that, hell not many bands from 1990 can say that. And its their last album, supposedl, but I doubt it, maybe this time you'll get the joke.
Guest whatitistoburn Report post Posted November 3, 2002 I've heard Track 17, and let me tell you, it's going to piss off a lot of people and show who the true juggalos are.
Guest cynicalprofit Report post Posted November 5, 2002 If its suppose to be mellow, yeah i expect their fanbase to drop, me, I'm still down. I want them to say, fuck you grow up man, there is more to life then our music, why, because most of their fans are assholes, I've met them, Ive been a huge mark fan, so yeah, im hoping it pisses some people off and they never come back to it. Guest converge241 Report post Posted November 5, 2002 This has got to be it for them right? they seem like they know they should stop now before the fanbase dwindles any longer and they can "go out on top"
Guest gangsteruwa Report post Posted November 6, 2002 I got the cd, it's very good. It's one of those albums you have to have an open mind for. It is different from the other stuff, but it's not bad by any means. Personally I found the rapping in this one to be better than normal for them, and the music in the back was very good. I think the purpose of this CD was to be mellow. Since this is the first half of the Wraith, the second half is expected to rip your head off. That way they are simulating Heaven (Shangri La) and Hell (Hell's Pit). I think this is as mature as ICP gets. Like I said, very good album.
Guest cynicalprofit Report post Posted November 6, 2002 Gona go grab it tomorrow if all goes well, and knowing my luck it wont. Ied be happy if theri fanbase dwindled, but they've made millions man, doing alot better then alot of people in the music industry, and for 2 highschool drop outs, not a bad career. Guest Sturgis Report post Posted November 6, 2002 As an ICP fan (I'm not really a juggalo, but I'm not a juggahoe by any means) I'm half and half. One half says I saw this coming the other half says that there assholes, but the more I think about it the more I think they are doing this to tell every juggalo to basically grow up and not breathe them 24/7. Also it may be a way to see who have Faygo in their veins and who doesn't. And on the "time will consume us all" thing I think they mean that we've grown up now it's your turn that or a good population of juggalos will commit suicide this week? I will still listen to ICP, Twiztid, Blaze, Lotus, and everything but I won't go out and find God altough I should look into it.
Guest converge241 Report post Posted November 8, 2002 I like that idea Im not a fan but i know of them and my 2 younger brothers worship them now i can tease them with their "new" name- Insane Christian Posse

I mean they could follow a diferent religion.
Guest cynicalprofit Report post Posted November 8, 2002 I think their reference to god was more of a seek a higer power then us and yourself. It wasnt a christian thing, but I think that is their faith. I have to give it up to them though, they went through a lot of hate and shit, and in the end, we found out why they said fuck you to everyone about their music being evil, it wasnt, atleast to them. It had a postitive message, you just had to see it. Thats artistery(sp). Still there will be more stuff, its to good finicially, and damn it I want another fucking movie. It was a good album, but that cotton candy & popscile song isnt something Im digging. And I figured it was about god after I first heard Riddlebox and read the inner notes, which Im sure a lot of their fans cant do. So its not like this was some huge shock or anything to me. Guest converge241 Report post Posted November 8, 2002 "Are you sure they are Christian? I mean they could follow a diferent religion. " no i dont think they are , i was just making an easy broad joke..just to bust their balls (my lil bros.) from what ive heard about i totally understand that they are not preaching some organized religion, they are just saying believe in something besides them, which is cool in my book.. Its jarring a lot of their fans though
Guest Lethargic Report post Posted November 8, 2002 Its jarring a lot of their fans though That's because MOST of their fans never listened to the lyrics anyway unless they were about hatchets, bitches and superballs. They just liked to use the music as an excuse to be juvenile delinquents and snot nosed little assholes. I always thought it was pretty out in the open that Shangri La was Heaven and everything they used was metaphors for Heaven and Hell, God and Satan. Sure they wrote a lot of funny songs about killing people and bitches and whatever but they also wrote just as many what's wrong with the world, anti-racism, be good to your fellow man type of songs. I don't see what the big deal is.
Guest converge241 Report post Posted November 8, 2002 you summed up what the big deal is they are mostly idiots

I hate when people sterotype us like that you all think were just idiots and assholes who speak in in juggalo. Look some of us ARE like that but some of us are actually intellingent(well OK were just not idiots allright) and are not juvenile dilinquents. And I listen to ICP FOR their lyrics cuz I feel what they're sayin' and yes I'll sing every lyric to Chicken Huntin', Bitches, etc. but still let's not sterotype all of us. Oh and NONE of us is snt nosed we HATE people like that

Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted November 9, 2002 Finally! People finally get that ICP have been preaching peace and equality all the time! I mean, did anybody ever really LISTEN to the lyrics in "Piggy Pie" or "Pass Me By," or even the extremely-well-known "Halls Of Illusions"? I find it sad that I was able to get the positive messages by just listening to one album, whereas hardcore juggalo's that have been listening to ICP since Riddlebox still don't get it... After all the positive reviews this album is getting, methinks I'll be buying it.
Guest gangsteruwa Report post Posted November 9, 2002 I'm still trying to figure out why people think ICP are evil. I mean read the lyrics to "Piggy Pie," like CoreyLazarus416 said. "...and then I watched the moon take the form of the Devil. I pulled it out the sky, and beat it with a shuvel." That's just one example. All the people they "kill" in their albums are child abusers, rapists, corrupt officials, and racists. And I do agree that a lot of Juggalos are retarded (yes, I am a Juggalo, but I'm not retarded). If you actually thought ICP were some satanic group, then you are a complete moron. I hope people quit listening to ICP after this, because that means they never got the message. I've only been listening to them since Amazing Jeckel Brothers, but I understand what they are about.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted November 9, 2002 I actually got into ICP through the JCW home videos and the hilarious commentary, and then I heard the music on the tapes, and I bought an album, and I've been a fan ever since. But yeah. It takes all kinds of idiots to make a band have a fanbase. Some like ICP for the show, some like ICP for the lyrics, and tons of idiots like ICP because they're "funny" and the music has "anger."
Guest The Metal Maniac Report post Posted November 9, 2002 Well, now "Let's Go All the Way" makes a shitload more sense. I never listened to 'em much, but I had a handful of songs by them that I liked. And I must say, Russo's dying of jealousy after THIS swerve.
Guest cynicalprofit Report post Posted November 9, 2002 Are you saying I can't read? Yes, a lot of their fans are mindless idiots, Ive met tons of them. And yes I am a fan, and some of the fans Ive met scarred the unholy fuck outta me. "You see that bitch over there." Um yeah "Were gonna go rape her after the show, your a big guy, you wanna help us?" No thanks guys. I immediately went and told security. I have no idea what happened after that cause i went back and watched ICP play. But still, thats probably the worst example i have of their fans. Guest gangsteruwa Report post Posted November 9, 2002 It seems you ran into the infamous Juggalo Rape Posse. I sincerely hope those fucks get caught, sent to jail, and then raped by about 50 prisoners. They are the perfect example of "not getting it."
Guest Nevermortal Report post Posted November 9, 2002 As a side note, I was searching on KaZaA for some "Wraith" tracks, and some were under the category of "Christian Rap".
Guest imajackoff? Report post Posted November 11, 2002 Is the concert dvd included with the cd worth the $12 to purchase another cd? I got the one with the seminar dvd, which was pretty cool even if it included nothing I didnt already know.
Guest La Parka Es Mi Papa Report post Posted November 11, 2002 I never was much of an ICP fan, mainly because the majority of Juggalos I've meet are blithering idiots and assholes. But, they have a few songs that amused me, and the JCW tapes are just classic.
Guest cynicalprofit Report post Posted November 12, 2002 You can download the seminar from their website and the concert footage is only like 35 minutes adn clipped to all hell, neither one is that good.
