Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 3, 2002 I'm thinking about making a set of 8-hour compilation tapes that will include most, if not all, of the WWF PPV matches that have gotten at least **** from SK. One match on this list has not been rated by SK, but it is highly regarded by many who have seen it (Savage-Jake from This Tuesday In Texas). I would like to get opinions from people interested in *purchasing* such a collection, in full or in part, as I'd be doing this to offset the cost of the many tapes I've been getting lately. If enough people voice their opinions, some matches that are overused (HIAC 1, Foley-HBK, etc) can be dropped, as well as the stuff from 2001-2002. The potential matches to be included in this set would be: 1987-1989: Savage-Steamboat at WM 3 10 Tag-Team match at Survivor Series 87 Hogan-Savage at WM 5 Brainbusters-Hart Foundation at Summerslam 89 1990-1994: Rumble match at RR 90 Rockers-Orient Express at RR 91 Warrior-Savage at WM7 Perfect-Bret at Summerslam 91 Savage-Roberts at This Tuesday in Texas Rumble match at RR 92 Piper-Hart at WM8 Flair-Savage at WM8 Bret-Bulldog at Summerslam 92 Bret-HBK at Survivor Series 92 Bret-Perfect at KOTR 93 Bret-Lawler at Summerslam 93 Smoking Gunns and Tatanka vs. Bigelow and The Headshrinkers at Summerslam 93 R ’n R Express vs. Heavenly Bodies at Survivor Series 93 Quebecers vs. Bret and Owen at RR 94 Bret-Owen at WM 10 HBK-Razor at WM 10 Owen-123 Kid at KOTR 1994 Bret-Owen at Summerslam 94 Bret-Backlund at Survivor Series 94 1995-1997: Bret-Bret at RR 95 HBK-Jarrett at IYH 2 JP Lafitte vs. Bret at IYH 3 HBK-Razor at Summerslam 95 Bret-Diesel at Survivor Series 95 Bret-Bulldog at IYH 5 HBK-Owen at IYH 6 Bret-HBK at WM 12 HBK-Diesel at Good Friends Better Enemies HHH-Mero at IYH: Beware of Dog Austin-Vega at IYH: Beware of Dog Austin-Mero at KOTR 96 6-man tag at IYH: International Incident HBK-Vader at Summerslam 96 HBK-Mankind at IYH: Mind Games Hart-Austin at Survivor Series 96 HBK-Sid at Survivor Series 96 Final Four match at IYH: Final Four Bret-Austin at WM 13 Bret-Austin at IYH: Revenge of the Taker HBK-Austin at KOTR 97 HHH-Mankind at IYH: Canadian Stampede TAKA-Sasuke at IYH: Canadian Stampede 10-man tag at IYH: Canadian Stampede Austin-Owen at Summerslam 97 HBK-Taker at IYH: Ground Zero HHH-Dude Love at One Night Only Bret-Taker at One Night Only HBK-Taker at IYH: Badd Blood 1998-1999: HBK-Austin at WM 14 Austin-Dude Love at IYH: Unforgiven Austin-Dude Love at IYH: Over the Edge Shamrock-Owen at Summerslam 98 Rock-HHH at Summerslam 98 Rock-Shamrock-Mankind at IYH: Breakdown Kane-Chyna vs. HHH-Xpac at IYH: St. Valentine’s Day Massacre Rock-Mankind at IYH: St. Valentine’s Day Massacre HHH-Xpac at IYH: Backlash Austin-Rock at IYH: Backlash Austin-HHH-Mankind at Summerslam 99 Jericho-Xpac at Unforgiven 99 6-Pack Challenge at Unforgiven 99 Hardyz-E+C at No Mercy 99 2000-2002: HHH-Cactus at RR 2000 Rumble match at RR 2000 Radicalz vs. Too Cool and Rikishi at No Way Out 2000 HHH-Cactus at No Way Out 2000 Dudleyz-Hardyz-E+C at WM 2000 Angle-Jericho-Benoit at WM 2000 Malenko-Scotty at Backlash 2000 Jericho-Benoit at Backlash 2000 HHH-Rock at Backlash 2000 Benoit-Jericho at Judgment Day 2000 HHH-Rock at Judgment Day 2000 HHH-Jericho at Fully Loaded 2000 Rock-Benoit at Fully Loaded 2000 Jericho-Benoit at Summerslam 2000 TLC 1 at Summerslam 2000 HHH-Benoit at No Mercy 2000 Rock-Angle at No Mercy 2000 Benoit-Jericho at RR 2001 4-way for IC title at No Way Out 2001 HHH-Austin at No Way Out 2001 Rock-Angle at No Way Out 2001 Angle-Benoit at WM X-7 TLC 2 at WM X-7 Austin-Rock at WM X-7 Angle-Benoit at Judgment Day 2001 Angle-Shane at KOTR 2001 Austin-Jericho-Benoit at KOTR 2001 Storm-Edge at Summerslam 2001 RVD-Jeff Hardy at Summerslam 2001 Austin-Angle at Summerslam 2001 Jericho-RVD at Unforgiven 2001 Jericho-Rock at No Mercy 2001 5 on 5 Elimination Match at Survivor Series 2001 Rock-Jericho at Vengeance 2001 Jericho-Rock at RR 2002 Please e-mail me with any constructive comments at [email protected]
Guest muswp1 Report post Posted March 3, 2002 If the price was reasonable, say under $200.00, I would definately be interested.
Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 3, 2002 The cost would depend upon the number of tapes needed, which could be lowered if the potential buyers don't mind the omission of several LONG matches (Royal Rumbles 90, 92, and/or 2000, Bret-HBK from WM 12, Hell in a Cell 1, TLC 1, TLC 2, Survivor Series 2001 main event, etc.). My target price would be $20 a tape, and I could reduce the final total by 2 tapes or more ($40+) if I exclude certain matches. This price would be negotiable if enough people are interested, as I could mass produce these tapes. The main problem I have right now is getting a few specific PPVs, either because I don't have them right now or I'd prefer to get a copy with better video quality. The ones I'd be most interested in trading for would be Rumble 91, Rumble 94, IYH 2 (depends if HBK-Jarrett from IYH: Greatest Hits is clipped), IYH 3, Good Friends Better Enemies (low VQ on my copy), Survivor Series 96, KOTR 97, One Night Only (PPV, not home video), and Judgment Day 2000. For One Night Only, Survivor Series 96, and Judgment Day 2000, I'd need the whole PPV. For the others, I'd need just an SP copy of the one or two matches I want. If anyone has several of the above *with high VQ*, I have a sizable list of PPVs and shoot interviews I could trade for them.
Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted March 3, 2002 The site I have in my sig. has a few of those PPV's and sometimes they clip out the crappy matches (see RR94), so you might want to check them out.
Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 4, 2002 Rob, I took a quick look through your site and found at least two tapes I want. Do you have a list of the PPVs or shoots that you are most interested in? I have about 40+ shoots that I can trade, but I don't want to fish through 6 pages of tapes to find the ones you already have.
Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted March 4, 2002 Teke, that's not my site. I publicize it for Tim Noel (the owner) and he cuts me a deal. You have to talk to him about trades and stuff, his e-mail is [email protected]
Guest [email protected] Report post Posted March 4, 2002 Hmmmm... Hell yes I would be interested in purchasing this from you. I have a few suggestions for you though. In the Iron Man Matches/Royal Rumbles, either show the end or do a lot of clipping. Not only will it save tape space, but keep it a lot more interesting without the stories to back it. I think that a couple other matches could be added. Demolition vs. Hart Foundation from Summerslam 1991 would be good, and I think is underrated. I also think maybe a big man match as I saw none on the list. Maybe Undertaker vs. Diesel from Wrestlemania 12, or Undertaker vs. Vader from Canadian Stampede, or Undertaker vs. Kane, from Wrestlemania 14. Jeesh those all include the undertaker, those are all the suggestions I have for you though.
Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 4, 2002 I'm seriously considering cutting the following matches: Hart-Lafitte (Hard to come by. All the Coliseum originals I can find are about $30 and very few people have bootlegs of it) HBK-Foley (Just about every compilation tape in existance has this one) Hell in the Cell I (ditto) Bret-Taker at One Night Only (Only on PPV version, which is hard to find) Tables and Ladders match at WM 2000 (Widely available on VHS and DVD) TLC 1 (ditto) TLC 2 (ditto) Judgment Day 2000 matches (I don't have this PPV, and dropping HHH-Rock alone would save over an hour) Royal Rumble 2000 (This might be cut to clips of Too Cool and Rikishi dancing, Kaientai repeatedly crashing the Rumble, and the Rock-Big Show double finish) HBK-Bret Iron Man Match (If I include this, it would probably be clipped down to the 58 minute mark until the end, for a total of about 5-6 minutes) Royal Rumble 1990 (I'm not sure about this one. It's a hard match to come by, but it's mainly known for three things: 1. Dibiase's ironman run 2. It set up Warrior-Hogan 3. Mr. Perfect was the last man eliminated, but had been booked to win it all before Hogan pitched a fit.) Royal Rumble 92 is, IIRC, the only other very long match, at a length of 62 minutes, and is VERY highly regarded. Possible matches to be added: Flair-Bret from Smack 'em Whack 'em (Bret's 1st title win) Bulldog and Bret vs. Owen and Neidhart from Slamfest 95 (highly acclaimed tag match from a bad period in the WWF) 123 Kid and Razor vs. HBK and Diesel (ditto) Bulldog-HBK from One Night Only (SK's newest review puts this at ****) As for big man vs. big man matches, there aren't many worth watching in the WWF. The only ones that I would consider using would be Bigelow-LT from WM 12, Vader-Taker from Canadian Stampede and Mankind-Taker from either Summerslam 96 or Revenge Of The Taker. Unfortunately, Bigleow-LT only qualifies because it's a celebrity match, using Vader-Taker would mean using ALL FOUR matches from Canadian Stampede, which kind of defeats the purpose of a compilation tape, and Mankind-Taker technically isn't a big man vs. big man match despite Mick weighing about 350 pounds. It's a shame as Vader-Taker is pretty good and would have been at the top of the card on about any other night in WWF history.
Guest muswp1 Report post Posted March 6, 2002 I meant to say $20.00 instead of $200.00. Typo on my part. You should really add two matches, Iron Man 2 (HHH vs. Rock)at KOTR 2001 and Foley vs. HHH's Hell in the Cell match at No Way Out 2000. Iron Man 2 was arguably the Rock's best ever and If you going to have Hell in a Cell 1, the match from No Way Out 2000 should be there as well because it was the only other Heel in the Cell match that was as good.
Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 6, 2002 Those are both on there. The Ironman match was at Judgment Day 2000, and that will be included if I either trade for a copy of that PPV or buy one, and the HHH-Foley Hell In The Cell match is listed as "hhh-Cactus at No Way Out 2000" As for the length and cost of this collection, I've done some totals based on match length alone and it is THIRTY SEVEN hours. This doesn't include any angle development or feud recaps, which would be nice in the case of Savage-Warrior from WM 7, Savage-Jake from This Tuesday in Texas, and Austin's KOTR win in 1996. This length would be unacceptable to most of you, as you'd want to pay less than $100 for five 8-hour tapes ($20 X 5 tapes). If I eliminate some of the most common matches (HBK-Mankind at Mind Games, Hell in the Cell 1, TLC 1 and 2, WM 2000 tag title match, Royal Rumble 2000, Survivor Series 2001 main event) and clip some of the other longer ones that most people have (Bret-HBK at WM 12, etc.), I can shave several hours off of the total. If I eliminate all of the above, with the exception of a clipped version of Bret-HBK, I can reduce the length by 4.5 hours right there. That would put the total at about thirty two hours, or four 8-hour tapes. This can be further reduced by leaving off matches that are of questionable quality or hard for me to obtain at a decent VQ. Right now, I'm not sure I'd include Royal Rumble 90 (about 1 hour, which makes it too long), Rockers vs. Orient Express at Rumble 91 (don't have that PPV), Bret and Owen vs. the Quebecers (ditto), Bret vs. JP Lafitte (ditto), Summerslam 93 tag match (questionable quality due to workers involved), etc. That's another two hours I could take off. Another way to save time would be to remove all 2001-2001 PPV matches from the tapes due to the high availability of those PPVs on VHS and DVD, with the exception of No Way Out 2001. If I take out all the 2001-2002 matches except those from No Way Out, it cuts off another four hours, which brings the total down to twenty six hours. That would mean three full 8-hour tapes and a partially full 6- or 8-hour tape. Removing the No Way Out matches takes off another hour or so. The best way to handle the tape length would be, IMHO, to remove the most commonly available matches and to break down the used matches into 2-hour blocks. Those 2-hour blocks could be purchased as a 2-hour SP tape, 1/3 of a 6-hour tape, or 1/4 of an 8-hour tape, with the prices varying depending upon the method chosen. That way, a person can avoid the stuff they either don't want or already have.
Guest JHawk Report post Posted March 6, 2002 Some good ideas, but I wouldn't get rid of Michaels-Mankind if at all possible. It's not as easy to come by as you might think (at least in NE Ohio outside of Cleveland), so if you already have it I'd include it.
Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 6, 2002 The reason the HBK-Mankind match was on the cut list is that it's on Hard Knocks and Cheap Pops, as well as the fact that it's on most other WWF compilation tapes I've seen in the past year. Everything is subject to change due to the response of possible buyers, though.
Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 6, 2002 Other ideas to cut time: Remove: Austin-HBK at KOTR 97 (I lost my bid on an original of this tape and don't have a bootleg) Hardyz-E+C at No Mercy 99 (available on Hardy Boyz: Leap of Faith, Eve of Destruction, etc.) Angle-Benoit-Jericho at WM 2000 (widely available) Kane-Chyna vs. HHH-Xpac at St. Valentine's Day Massacre (Who actually wants Kane and Chyna on this compilation?) Austin-HHH-Mankind at Summerslam 99 (thought to be overrated, is widely available). Removing those five matches and putting the Mind Games match back would result in a net gain of another hour. Another way to save time would be to cut some of the **** and ****1/4 that don't have much historical significance in the WWF (ex. RnR Express vs. Heavenly Bodies at Survivor Series 93, the Diesel-Bret no-contest at Royal Rumble 95, Shamrock-Owen from Summerslam 98, possibly HHH-Dude Love from One Night Only and the Rock-Shamrock-Mankind cage match from IYH: Breakdown). These could go on a later volume of great matches if any of you want them. IMHO, it would be a shame to cut the cage match, but it's fairly common and there are other matches that could go on the tapes in its place. Hopefully, I can get the time down to where this will fit on two or three 8-hour tapes pretty easily so that I can have something to sell to you in the near future, then possibly make a tape with the leftover material a few months later depending upon the demand for it. As for pricing, I'm thinking of having a base price of $20 shipped for a single 8-hour tape, but that will go down depending upon the number of tapes purchased. Since the whole set will come in at around 3 tapes, I'm thinking that $50 shipped sounds pretty fair considering the rarity of some of the material included (It's a pain in the ass to find decent copies of IYH: Good Friends Better Enemies and some of the other PPVs that originally broadcasted these matches). Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 7, 2002 I'm going to be starting on the first set of master tapes tomorrow night, so I'll need to know what matches SHOULD and SHOULD NOT be on there between Wrestlemania III and IYH: International Incident (July 1996). If you're wondering why certain matches are or aren't on there, I can respond to any message with the proper reason. These reasons will include: 1. Lack of interest from myself and the posters in this thread 2. Time considerations 3. Lack of footage (Royal Rumble 91+94, IYH 3, etc.) 4. Substandard video quality of footage 5. Lack of historical significance (Rock and Roll Express vs. Heavenly Bodies at Survivor Series 93, Bret-Diesel in a no-decision at Royal Rumble 95 that was barely ****) The current list right now stands at 10 hours of wrestling alone, not including storyline-related material that I'll add in. The matches include: 1987-1989: Savage-Steamboat at WM 3 10 Tag-Team match at Survivor Series 87 Hogan-Savage at WM 5 Brainbusters-Hart Foundation at Summerslam 89 1990-1994: Warrior-Savage at WM7 Perfect-Bret at Summerslam 91 Savage-Roberts at This Tuesday in Texas Rumble match at RR 92 Piper-Hart at WM8 Flair-Savage at WM8 Bret-Bulldog at Summerslam 92 Bret-HBK at Survivor Series 92 Bret-Perfect at KOTR 93 Bret-Lawler at Summerslam 93 Bret-Owen at WM 10 HBK-Razor at WM 10 Owen-123 Kid at KOTR 1994 Bret-Owen at Summerslam 94 Bret-Backlund at Survivor Series 94 1995-1997: HBK-Jarrett at IYH 2 HBK-Razor at Summerslam 95 Bret-Diesel at Survivor Series 95 Bret-Bulldog at IYH 5 HBK-Owen at IYH 6 Bret-HBK Ironman Match at WM 12 (clipped to last 5 minutes) HBK-Diesel at IYH: Good Friends Better Enemies HHH-Mero at IYH: Beware of Dog Austin-Vega at IYH: Beware of Dog Austin-Mero at KOTR 96 6-man tag at IYH: International Incident
Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 9, 2002 Update on the tape collection: 1. 2 hours of material has been recorded already and I plan on doing another 4-6 hours today. That first two hours stretches from Savage-Steamboat to Hart-Perfect. 2. That first 2 hours does NOT include the match from Survivor Series 87, as I was unable to get an original copy and the version I had was not of a good enough quality to withstand a generation or two of degradation. This match will be included if and when I make a supplimental tape that includes as many of the matches that I omitted as possible on a single tape. 3. The version of the Jarrett-HBK match at IYH2 that I have is JIP and lasts 14 minutes instead of the full 20 minutes. (It's from the IYH: Greatest Hits tape) As of now, I'm putting this version on the compilation tape but, if I'm able to obtain a good copy of IYH 2, I'm open to using that instead either in the first set, if it is received soon, or in the supplimental set that I'm thinking about. Comments? Questions? Who's still interested in getting a set?
Guest victorjenny Report post Posted March 10, 2002 Yeah man, I'm still interested in it, although think if it's possible you should add the hart foundation vs. demolation from summerslam 90, a really good match, and has huge mark out value
Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 10, 2002 Here is the match lineup of the first 8-hour tape: Savage-Steamboat at WM 3 Hogan-Savage at WM 5 Brainbusters-Hart Foundation at Summerslam 89 Warrior-Savage at WM7 Perfect-Bret at Summerslam 91 Savage-Roberts at This Tuesday in Texas Rumble match at RR 92 Piper-Hart at WM8 Flair-Savage at WM8 Bret-Bulldog at Summerslam 92 Bret-HBK at Survivor Series 92 Bret-Perfect at KOTR 93 Bret-Owen at WM 10 HBK-Razor at WM 10 Owen-123 Kid at KOTR 1994 Bret-Owen at Summerslam 94 HBK-Jarrett at IYH 2 (JIP at about 4 to 6 minutes in, as this is from the only commercially available version of this match in the US, on the IYH: Greatest Matches VHS, which had cut out the first few minutes in order to fit it in)) The following changes from the most recent match lineup had to be made to ensure the highest quality of the collection and the best possible use of time: The tag-team match from Survivor Series 87 was dumped due to insufficient video quality. The Lawler-Bret saga at Summerslam 93 was dumped due to time considerations (It's a combination of Bret-Doink, Bret-Lawler, and a bunch of Sportz Entertainment that got ****, which doesn't really stand up to the next 5 matches, which are the two Bret-Owen matches, Razor-HBK, Owen-123 Kid, and HBK-Jarrett, and ESPECIALLY not when you consider it takes about about 25-30 minutes.). Bret-Backlund from Survivor Series 94 was dumped due to some time considerations, but mostly due to insufficient quality of footage (I started copying this JIP at 2 minutes in order to fit the whole match in, but the video started jumping enough that I decided that it would not hold up to another generation of video degradation) If any of the above changes are a problem, I can try to accomodate any responses. In addition, any matches that are left out may be included on a supplimentary tape, should there be a demand for those matches and if I'm able to obtain certain matches. The lineup for the second 8-hour tape appears to be the following, give or take a few matches: HBK-Razor at Summerslam 95 Bret-Diesel at Survivor Series 95 Bret-Bulldog at IYH 5 HBK-Owen at IYH 6 Bret-HBK at WM 12 (clipped to about last 7 minutes due to time considerations and lack of finishes during this "Ironman match") HBK-Diesel at Good Friends Better Enemies HHH-Mero at IYH: Beware of Dog Austin-Vega at IYH: Beware of Dog Austin-Mero at KOTR 96 -----Interview – Austin 3:16 at KOTR 1996 6-man tag at IYH: International Incident HBK-Vader at Summerslam 96 HBK-Mankind at IYH: Mind Games Hart-Austin at Survivor Series 96 HBK-Sid at Survivor Series 96 Final Four match at IYH: Final Four Bret-Austin at WM 13 Bret-Austin at IYH: Revenge of the Taker HHH-Mankind at IYH: Canadian Stampede TAKA-Sasuke at IYH: Canadian Stampede 10-man tag at IYH: Canadian Stampede Austin-Owen at Summerslam 97 HBK-Taker at IYH: Ground Zero HHH-Dude Love at One Night Only Taker-Bret at One Night Only (PPV version only) HBK-Bulldog at One Night Only This lineup is subject to change due to time considerations, footage quality, the quality of my IYH: International Incident tape when it arrives, and ability to obtain footage of Survivor Series 96 and One Night Only (PPV Version). (I have a trade set up for these two PPVs, but there has been no response lately from the other trader recently. If the trade is not concluded and the tapes received within a week or two, I'll have to drop the Survivor Series matches at the least.) The good news is that, as of now, I have originals (or access to originals) for every PPV from 1998 to the present. That means the only further omissions of matches will be due to time considerations and not due to video quality issues. The only cuts I plan to make will be of matches that are widely available on VHS and DVD (Hardyz-E+C-Dudleyz stuff, footage from certain widely available PPVs, etc.)
Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 10, 2002 The Demolition-Harts match can be added at the end of the collection. I figure that I can add matches that I passed over or popular matches from Wrestlemania X-7 and beyond once I get past No Way Out 2001 (the most recent of the PPVs that hasn't been released on DVD). The current plan for dumping matches covers 2000 and beyond for the most part. I plan on dumping matches from Big 5 PPVs in 2000 and all PPVs available on DVD from 2001 and beyond (all but No Way Out 2001) until I can see how much time I have left to work with. At that point, I can add any match I have access to that is requested. (I don't have Bret-Lafitte from IYH 3, but have almost all the rest of the matches on the list in varying Video Quality). The only match from 1998 or 1999 that I plan on cutting is the Hardy Boyz vs. E+C ladder match at No Mercy 1999, which is widely available as well as overplayed. In addition to PPV matches that I overlooked, I might also include matches from Smack 'em Whack 'em and Wrestlefest 95 to the end of the compilation. These include Bret's title win over Ric Flair, a Bret-Bulldog vs. Owen-Neidhart tag match, and a 123 Kid-Razor vs. HBK-Diesel Tag Title match.
Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 16, 2002 I've been busy while the board was down. I found a source for Survivor Series 87, Rumble 94 and Survivor Series 94, so I now have good copies of those. Summerslam 90 was also added to the list of stuff on the supplemental tape I've been making. I also put the following matches on tape: Compilation tape 2: HBK-Razor at Summerslam 95 Bret-Diesel at Survivor Series 95 Bret-Bulldog at IYH 5 HBK-Owen at IYH 6 Bret-HBK at WM 12 (JIP at about 55 minutes) HBK-Diesel at Good Friends Better Enemies HHH-Mero at IYH: Beware of Dog Austin-Vega at IYH: Beware of Dog Austin-Mero at KOTR 96 6-man tag at IYH: International Incident -JUST ADDED TO TAPE- HBK-Vader at Summerslam 96 HBK-Mankind at IYH: Mind Games Bret-Austin at Survivor Series 96 HBK-Sid at Survivor Series 96 (3/4 done. 2 hours left to fill) Supplemental tape: 20-man tag match at Survivor Series 87 Bret-Owen vs. Quebecers at Rumble 94 Bret-Backlund at Survivor Series 94 Hart Foundation vs. Demolition at Summerslam 90 Bret-Lawler stuff at Summerslam 93 Headshrinkers-Bigleow vs. Tatanka-Gunns at Summerslam 93 (about 5 hours left to fill) EDIT- I've received the PPV copy of One Night Only I traded for and I don't feel comfortable putting footage that looks THAT bad on a compilation tape. If enough people want the hard-to-find Bret-Taker match, I will include it in the set of supplemental tapes. However, I will NOT include HHH-Dude Love or HBK-Bulldog in any form because those are available in MUCH better condition on the abbreviated WWF Home Video release, which is still available through Shopzone among other places. In addition to the above, I have received a great copy of IYH 3, so I'll be putting Bret-JPLafitte on the supplemental tape when I get a chance, along with Vader-Taker from IYH: Canadian Stampede because people have been requesting a big man vs. big man match somewhere in the set. Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 23, 2002 See edits to previous post. Also, the main event of IYH: Final Four got bumped to the supplemental tape set because I'd rather put an original version in the set rather than a bootleg, and my new version of it has yet to arrive. Therefore, the last matches of Tape 2 appear to be: Bret-Austin at WM 13 Bret-Austin at IYH: Revenge of the Taker HHH-Mankind at IYH: Canadian Stampede TAKA-Sasuke at IYH: Canadian Stampede 10-man tag at IYH: Canadian Stampede
Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 28, 2002 The following are now on compiled tapes: main set: Austin-Owen at Summerslam 97 HBK-Taker at IYH: Ground Zero HHH-Dude Love at One Night Only Bret-Taker at One Night Only HBK-Taker at IYH: Badd Blood HBK-Austin at WM 14 Austin-Dude Love at IYH: Unforgiven Austin-Dude Love at IYH: Over the Edge Shamrock-Owen at Summerslam 98 Rock-HHH at Summerslam 98 supplemental set: Bret-Lafitte at IYH 3 Bret-Taker-Austin-Vader at Final Four Undertaker-Vader at Canadian Stampede Hardyz-E+C at No Mercy 1999 Also, I haven't made this clear before, but I AM using 2-hour SP tapes as masters. While all the lists I've been making have been done using 8-hour tapes in mind, the set will be available on 6-hour tapes at a higher cost for shipping. In addition, since the set IS broken down into 2-hour blocks, I will be able to make specialty tapes containing whichever matches you want. The tapes won't be finalized, though, until I can get reasonably close to finishing the set, which could be this weekend if I don't have a heart attack trying to fit all of the matches from 2000 on the tapes. HOPEFULLY, I'll be able to start taking orders for tapes within a week or two, although it may take me a while to produce and ship complete sets. I'm currently up to about 11 tapes, or about 22 hours, for the regular series and 3 tapes, or 6 hours, for the supplemental set. Target totals for the sets will probably be 6 more tapes (for a total of 16 in the regular set and 4 in the supplemental set) due to the amount and length of the matches from 2000, ESPECIALLY the HHH-Rock Ironman match from Judgment Day 2000
Guest the living legend Report post Posted March 31, 2002 I'd be really interested in this is it 20$ per 8 hours or am I mis reading this. Both tapes look good to me
Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 31, 2002 The set currently looks to be 3 8-hour tapes and a 6-hour tape for the regular stuff and 1 8-hour tape for the supplemental stuff (mainly stuff that I couldn't put on the tapes in order when I made them). Non-PPV matches that I just put in the supplemental set this weekend include: Flair vs Bret (Bret wins first WWF title), Flair and HBK vs. Savage and Bret, and the Steiners vs. Bret and Owen. With any luck, I'll be done with most of this by the end of tonight, as I'm on Judgment Day 2000 right now and the only other PPVs I'm planning on using for the rest of the regular set are Fully Loaded 2000, No Mercy 2000, and No Way Out 2001. Any matches that people want from the PPVs I didn't use yet (RR 2000, WM 2000, Summerslam 2000, all of 2001 but No Way Out) should be suggested and I'll add them as time permits. However, I prefer NOT to add in the ladder match series between E+C, the Hardyz, and the Dudleyz, as these matches are HEAVILY covered on multiple tapes (both commercial and fan compilations). I have about 1hr 30 min left to fill on this tape. Most likely matches to be added will be the Rumble match from 1990 and the Kane-Chyna vs. XPac-HHH match from St. Valentine's Day Massacre unless someone makes better suggestions) I plan on finalizing the tapes this week, so go ahead and make any suggestions of matches I haven't used yet. I've intentionally skipped all of the ****+ matches from WWF PPVs that are on DVD, but now that I have the extra space I can put some of these matches that are fairly easy to obtain on the tapes. If I don't get e-mails at [email protected] about the matches to put on the remaining tapes, I'll just make the choices I think are best then start taking orders.
