Guest Flyboy Report post Posted March 3, 2002 I know not many people will agree with me, but I think that One Of A Kind fits him better. Lyric-wise (I have the whole song, and the lyrics totally fit him) and if you listen to it... the song sorta makes you want to do the thumbs... or maybe it's just me. I not knocking Walk because it is a good song, but I just think One Of A Kind fits better... I think I might be the only one who thinks this, though.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted March 3, 2002 nothing got the crowd into believing the hype of RVD more than the Pantera song WALK the guitar riff and the lyrics "Are you talking to me", "Respect" made RVD the most hyped self-centered ego-manianic ECW star. Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted March 3, 2002 I like his new theme...I think they tried to make it sound like "Walk"...but Walk was just great for RVD...the crowd was big time into it Although I am a big ECW mark...so my opinion may be a little slanted. Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted March 3, 2002 WALK! my favourite entrance ever (that and Enter sandman) it got the crowd so pumped up it was insane.
Guest Ghast Report post Posted March 3, 2002 One a Kind is the superior peice.
Guest art_vandelay Report post Posted March 3, 2002 Walk. Both songs fit him, but Walk is definitely the better one, both rock and wrestling entrance music-wise. I also think the vocals for One Of A Kind are pretty lame.
Guest CED Ordonez Report post Posted March 3, 2002 Either way it's fine. One of a Kind is pretty good. WWF just prefers to pay less, so no Walk from Pantera.
Guest Dace59 Report post Posted March 3, 2002 One of a Kind only sounds like it fits him better becuase it was perpous written I'll guess. Walk is a far better and more fitting song (but people think this is Pantera's greatest as it's the only on they've heard... It's NOT)
Guest Shaved Bear Report post Posted March 3, 2002 RE... SPECT... WALK hands down, not even a contest
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted March 3, 2002 I like "Walk" better, but "One of a Kind" is also good. The WWF has no probably paying money for other songs, but not "Walk". WHY?
Guest cabbageboy Report post Posted March 3, 2002 This isn't even a contest.....Walk has it easy. And by the way, Pantera did the original song but that was NOT the one RVD used in ECW. He mostly used the Walk by Kilgore, which was on the ECW CD. It's better than the original I always thought.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted March 3, 2002 Can this really be a discussion? Walk by a landslide
Guest areacode212 Report post Posted March 3, 2002 Didn't RVD use the Pantera version early on, before the ECW CD came out? At any rate, "Walk" is far from my favorite Pantera song. I would've preferred "Mouth for War" or even "Cowboys From Hell" as an RVD entrance. Still, "One of a Kind" isn't bad.
Guest Human Fly Report post Posted March 3, 2002 Both good songs, "Walk" by far though. The WWF is a rich company too bad they're too cheap to pay for the rights to songs that helped make characters (See Snow, Al).
Guest The Masked Yodeler Report post Posted March 3, 2002 What did Snow come out to in ECW? I wasn't watching it at that point.
Guest TUS_02 Report post Posted March 3, 2002 Al used Prodigy's "Breathe" as a theme song. Trippy song for the trippyn character
Guest Dace59 Report post Posted March 3, 2002 RVD did used Pantera's version of Walk, then the ECW edit (opening rift, chours, repeat all) Then Kilgore's cover (ECW CD) Then the ECW edit of that (as above)
Guest areacode212 Report post Posted March 3, 2002 Yep, "Breathe" was a good choice for Al Snow. Whoever selected entrance themes for ECW did a really awesome job. "Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck", "Natural Born Killaz", "Back in Black"...they all fit the wrestlers perfectly.
Guest KOR420 Report post Posted March 4, 2002 "Walk" hands down was the better theme
Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted March 4, 2002 That's what i miss about ecw, the entance music fit the wrestlers perfectly and got the crowd pscyhed for the match. Every person singing along to enter sandman allways gave me goosebumps even though sandman sucked once he started wrestling
Guest saturnmark4life Report post Posted March 4, 2002 ECW themes were always cool, but it just wouldn't work on a big scale. I think one of a kind suits him fine, but then 99% of WWF theme music is crap by default. Saturn's kicks ass, Dean's was cool, Benoit's was cool and the rest is fairly generic and crap. Guest the jesuit pig Report post Posted March 4, 2002 Saturn has the shittiest msuic in the entire company.
Guest Metallica Report post Posted March 4, 2002 I would have liked the WWF to buy the rights to use Walk for him but as a substitute, One Of A Kind aint too bad And I agree, the lyrics fit perfectly.
Guest converge241 Report post Posted March 4, 2002 They are both two of the best theme songs ever. If I had to make a choice i'd go with Walk. Just too damn nostalgic for the good ol' ECW days.
Guest Chris 'Y2J' Jericho Report post Posted March 4, 2002 Nothing was as cool as an RVD ECW Walk entrance (but that was because of the ECW croud) personaly i like One Of A Kind.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted March 4, 2002 i want to know why the wwf is obsessed with all the generic rock bands lately i'm getting SO tired of it.
Guest Dr. Wrestlingphysics Report post Posted March 5, 2002 I believe the WWF entrance themes have suffered by using real bands, the main cases being Tazz and HHH's motorhead one (I really liked his old one), but if they are prepared to pay Cypress Hill and Limp Bizkit, why not Pantera/Kilgore? On that subject, the recent crowd reactions to the opening chords of RVD's new theme were recognised and cheered immedietly, so although I prefer his ECW theme, RVD's new one is a very good replacement. Guest Lil Naitch Report post Posted March 5, 2002 Personally, I like "One of a kind." It just seems to fit him perfectly.
Guest BaronVonStevie Report post Posted March 5, 2002 As much as "Walk" fit RVD, "one of a kind" is fine. It's dare I say better than "Walk" It's a shame the push can't say the same. I was never the biggest RVD mark but I support him now in the WWF. Robbie ought to have it better than feuding with Regal over TBFHBV(my little acronym for the IC title; "the belt formerly held by Val. God I'm funny)
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted March 5, 2002 I have to go with One of a Kind. I never cared for Walk.
