Send in the Clones is somewhat funny..seeing the old version of Homer and Peter Griffin of Family Guy was good for a laugh or two..

 

The Fright to Creep and Scare Arms..not that great, but yeah, that was the line of the night, so far..

 

The Island of Dr. Hibbert..Flanders wanting Homer to milk him was funny..

 

Ralph (as a peacock) - Im a dog..

 

This was funny just because of all the characters being different animals and trying to figure out why..

I was thinking last night, when "The Simpsons" finally ends, would doing a one-shot Treehouse of Horror every year be a good idea? Or just end forever (sans movies)?

The Treehouse of Horror episodes seem to be the only reliably funny thing about the Simpsons anymore. I'll be watching next week, but it better pay off.

Everytime I ponder the steady decline of the Simpsons, I think it could be worse: it could be Family Guy.

I'm still confused as to whether the Simpsons writers are mocking or paying homage to Family Guy.

I think it was pretty blatant that the writers implied that Peter Griffin was a Homer ripoff.

 

This year's ToH was alright, but having to follow the "Angry Dad" episode is definitely hard.

I guess I enjoyed it as a whole

 

The Clones one was a classic.

The Billy the Kid one was pretty lame overall, some deicent lines though.

And the Island one was alright.

 

The 2nd and 3rd seemed really rushed.

 

And I thought last year's sucked.

Clones was quite funny, but Angry Dad is a tough act to follow.

 

And I can't belive there's anyone in the world that didn't like Family Guy. Clearly you guys never saw "Gumble 2 Gumble: Beach Justice".

The Billy the Kid part of the show kind of reminded me of a combination of two previous ToH stories (I believe they happened in the same episode, too). The one where Bart and Lisa raised the un-dead, and where Lisa wished for world peace, so the aliens attacked them, as they were helpless.

Seriously, though, the population seems to be split into two categories: Those of us who realized the comedic genius of that show, and those who inexplicably hate it.

Yes Family Guy is very much a love it or hate it show. However i can understand someone hating it.

 

On the surface it does look like an extremely dumb show with a low grade comedic level and i'm sure could turn people off quickly upon first view.

My favorite Family Guy moment was when Captain Crunch tried to hire a hitman to kill Count Chocola.

My fav family guy moment is a conversation overheard between two guys.

 

GUY 1: "So Bob, you going out drinking tonight?"

GUY 2: "Let's just say that the wife is gonna have another black eye to explain to the neighbors."

I have so many Family Guy moments. The Kool-Aid man busting through a wall, the last five minutes of Lethal Weapons, the Dick Van Dyke parody, Peter and Brian as Mr. Peabody and whatever that little bitch kids name was, but my favorite went like this:

 

Tom something (can't remember the dude's name): And now we go to Ali Williams with our Blacky Weather Forecast.

 

Ali: (picture Al Roker) It Gonna Rain!

 

Tom: Thanks Ali.

 

I can't do it justice here, but get Mr. Saturday Knight by any means necessary, and after the opening scene, it's there. I laughed for five minutes, and "It Gonna Rain" became a catchphrase of mine.

I was laughing my ass off when he was trying to force the Thing into the Bat Mobile and when he was trying to turn into the Hulk.

My favorite Family Guy is when Peter correctly predicts a nuclear holocaust, and the family is forced to search for a Twinkie factory to avoid starvation.
