Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted November 4, 2002 On WOL, someone called to ask Meltzer when Hogan would be back, and Meltzer said that Hogan was done. That there was no plans to have him back on WWE TV again, and that he and WWE were pretty much finished. He went on to say that this was only until Vince decides he needs him again...but still. Brock ended Hulkamania. And now he's moved up my list of favorite wrestlers. WOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
Guest art_vandelay Report post Posted November 4, 2002 Not even to promote his new book?
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted November 4, 2002 Apparently not...which I find really funny. I figured the only reason he was doing all the jobs was because he wanted to sell his book. Meltzer said that Hogan could go and write another book to bury Vince if he wanted now...but didn't think he'd go that far

Guest Angle-plex Report post Posted November 4, 2002 I think it sucks that Brock is the one that ended Hulkamania. At least he's gone though.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted November 4, 2002 I wonder when this all happened. It was only a few weeks ago on WOL (The show that Syxx was on) where Meltzer was saying that Hogan could be back whenever and that he'd probably end up on RAW since he didn't fit on SD!. Guest wwF1587 Report post Posted November 4, 2002 Thank You BROCK, if only he had retired the UT, he would be my fave wrestler... sorry but... I hope Brock ends Big Show... I HATE THAT FAT LAZY ^&*^*&!...sorry
Guest Downhome Report post Posted November 4, 2002 He'll be back, so don't get too excited about all of this. As far as I know, he is under contract untill Jan. 2003, sooooooo... ...besides, he needs WWE's marketing machine to help promote his book. The only way I could see him being "done" already, is if he refused to change the parts of the book that WWE wanted him to, but even still, I highly doubt we've seen the last of Hogan, you just wait and see. Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted November 4, 2002 What part of the book did the WWE want to change?
Guest art_vandelay Report post Posted November 4, 2002 Well, I still think they could use him to their benefit in some capacity, just definitely not inside the ring. Surely Gerwartz can find a way to incorporate him into the Katie Vick storyline.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted November 4, 2002 not even for a fake award and a beat down by the Island Boys
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted November 4, 2002 He was just speculating. That book should be quite the read. Maybe he can talk about the 200,000 people he drew for a show overseas that he wasn't even on again. That would be neat.
Guest Downhome Report post Posted November 4, 2002 What part of the book did the WWE want to change? That, I have no idea. I just know that Vince read the early manuscript and wasn't very happy by a few things that were in it, and asked that they be taken out or changed. That is the last I heard on that situation. All that I know was said, is that it made WWE and Vince look sorta bad, in more than one ways.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted November 4, 2002 or how he defeated Japanese legends Ioki and Muto with Strong Style.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted November 4, 2002 I think he had a story on shooting on someone from Japan too. MAn...he is so full of shit.
Guest Downhome Report post Posted November 4, 2002 Whatever the case, I highly doubt he's gone, so don't get your hopes up.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted November 4, 2002 Stop the presses. Downhome has better info than the observer this time. I guess I'll just close this thread and light my candlelight vigil for Hogan's return.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted November 4, 2002 in my RF Video Update propaganda catalog there is a new Stan Hansen Shoot video that talks about Hogan & Hansen in the early days.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted November 4, 2002 whoooo! This is a great moment in wrestling history. Hogan finally leaves us alone. Of course, I've said this approximatly 60 times in 5 years, but we can hope.
Guest Downhome Report post Posted November 4, 2002 Stop the presses. Downhome has better info than the observer this time. I guess I'll just close this thread and light my candlelight vigil for Hogan's return. I didn't say I had better information, just that I highly doubt that he is gone for good, especially with all of the circumstances surrounding the situation. If you want to take it as he is gone, then great, but like I said, I highly doubt he would fade away that easy, and I highly doubt WWE would allow it, unless the book issue went further than it should have. Guest DJ Jeff Report post Posted November 4, 2002 I really don't think Hogan is done with the WWE just yet. I'm thinking that he'll have one last match, possibly at Wrestlemania 19, against Vince. Then again, if his contract expires in January of 2003, then that match could take place at the Royal Rumble. All I know is that Hogan will be back one last time before his contract runs out. Guest El Satanico Report post Posted November 4, 2002 Until i see his cold dead corpse laying in a pine box i won't believe that he has finally left my TV once and for all. This is probably Vince's next "big plan". Make it seem like he's gone for good and then he makes a huge surprise appearance and saves WWe. Well in Vince's mind it will, but he thinks that often. Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted November 4, 2002 Well, I still think they could use him to their benefit in some capacity, just definitely not inside the ring. Guest bcu1979 Report post Posted November 4, 2002 Not sure if he mentioned this on the radio show, but it was in the Observer that Hogan v. Lesnar was the original plan for the Survivor Series main event. Hogan refused to do another job for Brock and that's how it got changed to Show v. Lesnar. Meltzer said then that the plan was still for Hogan to come back to the Smackdown brand at the time since he was supposed to be on some house show in Canada in early December. They must have had a further following out since then.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Report post Posted November 4, 2002 Well......I can't wait to read this book. Of course take everything in it with a grain of salt......we know Hogan's tendency to embellish.....a lot.
Guest Mulatto Heat Report post Posted November 4, 2002 Remember, Bret was the indirect cause of WCW dying, not Hogan. He said so himself on Confidential! You KNOW they never lie on that show!
Guest jester Report post Posted November 4, 2002 Until i see his cold dead corpse laying in a pine box i won't believe that he has finally left my TV once and for all. You said it. Hogan is harder to get rid of than cockroaches, and McMahon will forgive anything of anyone if he thinks it will make him money. Hell, he'd probably bring Nailz back if he thought he could make a buck off him. You know, I bet Hogan's death wouldn't change his in-ring ability much. Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted November 4, 2002 In Hogan's book he wrote alot about Vince's wild life style, but nothing about what he did. The Book was changed to give Vince more credit for Hulkamania. I kinda like Hogan's commerical with Alf.
Guest edotherocket Report post Posted November 4, 2002 Can someone clue me in on some of Hogan's stories? On the Hulk DVD he mentions an Inoki shootfight and in this thread bps mentions Hulk talking about wrestling on some overseas show where he wasn't on the card. Care to share some Hulk Lies! anecdotes?
